I love my Jackies, VERY much, but sadly the 22mm ones are no longer. If the Sandstorm 25 suits one, then it too is a beautiful choice.

On the lower price spectrum, far less weight, and just an overall muey kool mod, one might want to take a looksie at the "BME" (Best mod Ever, according to our ol' bud, @pufZeppelin) (aka Evic Primo Mini).

Go for a Dicodes Dani box mini. The best mod on Earth. Yeah it is 300 dollars but you only need one.
TC of mirable precision, berillium-copper 510, RF AC drive, all sort of exotic technologies to achieve top level vaping.
Dicodes are really pretty, Ive always wanted one myself. Love the Dani boxs. I wish theyd made an easier way of upgrading it though. Not a fan of having to fly it all the way back to Germany and paying them to upgrade it ]: I feel like once you pay for a product that should kinda be a service provided. Although im sure they have to tear it down to upgrade it, but damn! It not the customers fault they built it in a way so hard to upgrade!

My understanding is that Dicodes mod needs no upgrade, being intensively tested before they are marketed.

The entire philosophy of design and use of a Dicodes mod is totally alien to those of Chinese mods.

It is my opinion that Dicodes mods are in a class of their own, with a very low price for what you get.

But, being different, and without the hype created by flashy advertising, they remain unknown and unappreciated, until you try one of them, especially in TC mode - then they act on you like the Ulisse's Syren...

Jacs are great mods but don't forget the old istick Pico's,
I have one, like it, but the design limits you to ...?22mm?...toppers. Other than that, it's pretty rugged 1-batt mod for the money. I wish that they had just made it longer and had a flat top.

Yes the body of the nx is alot more solid then the macro. The macro is very small and light, but not very sturdy like the nx, and if dropped, may incur some damage. I love the aspire chip, very nice imo. I got them a while back for about 50 bucks and bought like 6 ,very awesome mod and very solid
Nice lineup in the photos!

The Macro and NX75-A are pretty close in price. How is the chip in the NX75? Is the NX75-A body much nicer than the Macro? If I understand correctly, it's machined from a single block of aluminum (there's also a cheaper cast version).

Thank you. I posted in the Jac Vapour topic.

North of $300 is more than a bit, but I take your point
Depends how you look at it. That for me was about 20 days of buying cigarettes, so imo for something that will last the rest of my life, it's worth it, plus there arent many very small and light mods that are out there, so its perfect for my vaping style. Obviously if you compare it to a basic 30 dollar mod, then yes it's pretty dam expensive. It's funny how in vaping 300 seems out of line , even when those would spend 500 every year on a cell phone or have a 600 dollar car payment every month, or buy fancy coffees everyday, but with a mod it's ridiculous

Many of us wouldn't have so many mods if it weren't for the FDA pressure to restrict and control the Electronic Cigarette industry. I feel like I have to buy some of the latest and greatest to keep up with technology and stow away backups for the day when vice grip control hits the industry.

I know that I need a significant backup stock for everything just in case. I have one DNA 75 mod, a number of highly rated mods, and some that aren't that high tech, but they were cheap on sale when I bought them. I just ordered my third Eleaf iStick because it's one of my favorite mods for pocket carry. That, and it was ON SALE! :)

I never plan on going with a mech mod. A regulated one just makes more sense to me. I'm sold on the Jac so I just need to wait about a week and it's buying time:)

I think you will enjoy the Jaq and from what I've seen the 23 mm Sandstorm one looks perfectly nice with 22 mm mods. I am a bit partial to the LV Mirage for a single DNA as it has the option of a chip with replay but I don't think it is exactly the smallest. Most folks who get the Jaq really speak highly of it I hope you enjoy your purchase.

JAC Vapor series B DNA75W

I think you will love it. So far, the JAC is the leading vote getter in this thread:

The black 22mm JAC has been discontinued and will be replaced with a 23mm Sandstorm. The 25mm Sandstorm is also still available. Same internal components, one will accept up to 23mm diameter tanks without overhang, and the other will accept up to 25mm tanks.

Not sure what's your point is, as I also have cheap, inexpensive mods too. All I was saying is one can't even recommend anything over 100 bucks anymore without someone making a remark about how ridiculous and expensive it is...forget a discussion of whether it's worth it or not, just a simple recommendation gets you looking like your an idiot or something. Use to get that when provape was around and brought them up, next thing you got a bunch of posts saying how ridiculous it was to spend 250 on a mod. Pretty soon there will be a sticky here saying to only mention mods less then 100 bucks.

Oh, yes. Those were the good old days. A recommendation of "Just get a Provari!" would be the beginning of a 30 page thread debating the pro's and cons of buying a $200 Provari.

Another saying that Provari owners would say was, "Buy once, cry once." What that meant was you might cry because of the initial cost of a Provari, but you would soon realize that it was going to work and last for decades of use. By comparison, some folks would repeatedly buy the same cheap Vamo because it would either break or stop working. You were going to end up spending the same amount of money over time, so would you rather buy once or multiple times?

Why are Provari's so Expensive?
Is the Provari Still Worth It?

There used to be dozens and dozens of these threads on ECF. Since Provape closed, they are no longer available for reading.

For single 18650 battery Mods that have the 75w dna board its the reliable engine sort to speak if the watts fit your needs.
Also the Pico mod is pretty good as well .
Thanks for the recommendations. I know that there is absolutely nothing wrong with mechanical mods and I think they are really cool, reliable and last a lifetime with proper care. It's just not for me. I enjoy having the safety features of a regulated mod as a backbone, as well as the extras that come along with it.

Plus, if you want to buy a used one, you can expect to spend almost as much doing so, although I think this tendency is waning.

I have plenty of provari, absolutely NOTHING against inexpensive mods at ALL and own several.... But next on my list is a Dicodes and I am NOT going to apologize for that even slightly.I will also eventually get the perfect replay mod for me, but once I saw Dicodes mods, I wanted one, I am stocked up JUST FINE so I see no reason to apologize for you know, spending money on something that a) I enjoy b) Is fantastic c) Probably is not going to kill me and c) Far more durable and long lasting than a pack of cigarettes which oh, used to last me 1/3 of a day.

I refuse to apologize for buying an expensive mod, l stocked up (expensively) and now I am getting surgical about it, so Good For Me, is what I think.

I also think that if you buy an ego battery and quit smoking and it works for you and you are happy, you are my emotional, spiritual, philosophical, and General All Around Tough Person for Beating the most Pernicious Addiction sibling OF ALL TIME-- my brethren.

So do whatever you want to do, and do it proudly. Some people like jewelry and spend much of their tobacco money on THAT, some people buy cars, I will (at some point) buy an RV I bet, which is WHY I am getting more surgical about things.

Vaping should be pleasurable and anyone who shames, in any direction KIND OF SUCKS.

We may not all have the same financial circumstances OR priorities, but man complaining about vaping costs or disinclination or inclination to spend a certai threshold or not, is just rude.

I mean, if you gotta boast about anything, boast about the people who have done something AWESOME for you vape wise, then emulate it. Jeez. I got a provari because someone GAVE me one. So when I acquired an interesting lot on ebay for less than what it was worth, I gave some away, too. I did not have to, but it made me HAPPY.

Go ECF. Instead of arguing about cost, do something nice for your fellow vaper, be it eyes out for deals, advice whatever. We may ALL BE in the soup, far sooner than we realize. So sniping just sucks.

Nothing was meant to be inferred other than we all feel like we need a pile of mods to ensure that we have plenty to vape if the FDA closes in and wrecks the industry. I don't really think that will happen, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

I have a few expensive mods ($100 to $200+) and a number of lower priced proven mods. I don't think it's ridiculous to keep on buying for the future. If you want it, get it. I do that when something keeps begging for me to get out the credit card. :)

I bought a (25mm) JAC Vapour Sandstorm. I was out of town when it arrived. Ordered from Great Britain on a Saturday night and it was at my house Tuesday.

Anyway I asked Mrs. States to open the package and see if it came with a battery. Don't know if it's limited or what, but the order indicated a $0 battery was included.

Mrs. States likes pens. She went on and on about how nice it felt in her hand. I ordered another one knowing by the time I arrived home I'd have one.... because Mrs. States was probably going to call dibs on mine. lol.
It too came with a battery and a 10% discount on my order.
