OMG I miss lefse! It looks like a tortilla but is made with potatoes. I love mine with butter, cinnamon and sugar. Its a Norwegian thing like lutefisk but MUCH better tasting.

Its just the bf and myself this year, I'll make a ham, cheesy scalloped potatoes, veggies, breads and dessert. I think I'd rather eat at Pugzleys, sounds delicious but bf wont touch those foods. I have to go by myself when I want a sushi fix!

Dinner is the normal. Ham, Turkey, Baked mostacholi, Beef sands, etc. Plus a bunch of side dishes, like pasta salads, mashed potatos, carrots, green been cassoroles etc, (its hard to list everything my family makes and sometimes it changes).

But the real deal is all the appetizers out and about. Like prosciutto wrapped celery and creme cheese, Suprasota, cappacola, motedella meats with provolone, colby, moteryjack, cheddar, mozzarella slices. Taco salads, olive trays.. etc.

Then theres usually like a sparking punch, some good wines out of the cellar, and some after dinner grappa.

Im not going for the gifts, Im going for the Grappa !!! lol that stuff will put hair on alot more then your chest lol.

You know what Pawpaw, my best friend ever lives in Frankston, Texas, someone I've known on the internet for about 10 years now and never even met. Ain't that something? We met on a message board that long ago and I would love to meet up with her, too. She's close to Jacksonville, you anywhere near there?

I had to look up Frankston! Yea, it's only about 100 miles from me. Around here, that ain't even far enough to be called a good Sunday drive!

My sisters daughter just moved to Texas, she lives by Dallas. I plan to visit her with my sister in 6 months. Would be fantastic to meet you both, and others here.

Oh WOW! I would be in hog heaven if we could set this up!

I'm just outside of Dallas and several others in the V4L family are in this area too!

What do you say everybody?

My grandfather is 93 years old and 100% sicilian, He still tends his acre and a half garden, and still makes his own wine. xxxx to be honest the ol man is probably gonna outlive us all. Anyhow Grappa , is what he makes with the bi-product, after the run of the wine., Think of it as a fruity grape tasting moonshine fire lol. he would tell you that its ‘fulmine bianco’ Meaning White Lightning. Most people know it as grappa. im sure you can find a toned down version in a liquor store that imports from italy.

the other wierd names are italian lunch meants that have unique tastes to them. Growing up eating it, I have to find myself a little importer that prders it wherever i live. lol.

My Daughter and Grandson....
long story - and I'm thrilled we'll be munching on NY steak (marinating now), shrimp curry (special recipe), basmati rice, brussel sprouts and hmmmm
maybe figure out something besides pie to do with that canned pumpkin..... or not.

Blessings to everyone... may your holidays be 'delicious' no matter what you have for dinner!

BTW - I'll be vaping RY4 and maybe a bit of cherry ....
does cherry go with beef?
