Made roast beef with buttered potatos and asparagus with cheese. Left over roast and gravey will be beef stew tomorrow with buttered bisquits and fruit jello.

MaryKay, I'm on my way to your house for dinner next time we're in Florida. Yes, I've been following your posts on here. No, I'm not NORMALLY a stalker, but Spanish food?

My oh my...

Starting to plan my April fools dinner. Instead of thinking up pranks jokes or tricks, I make fun/funny food for my kids every april fools. Last year it was hi lyin' pizza (really a large cookie with cream cheese, decorated to look like a pizza) Year before that it was mock carrot cakes. I'm burnt out on ideas ya'll have any?

My oldest son runs 48 states with his dad in a semi. When they have a load coming anywhere near me I get phoned or emailed food requests. Last week it was chicken and dumplins and sweet southern cornbread.
This week it was spaghetti ala mexican. Lots of green chilis and cheddar cheese and sour cream with green onions atop it all.

Here's a recipe for a messy, but great tasting cereal snack. It would also make a great food to give away in a pretty jar.
Prep Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients:

 •
14 ounce package corn, rice or wheat square-shaped cereal
2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup peanut butter
 • 2 cups (12 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation:

Place cereal in large bowl. Dump in large resealable plastic bag. Melt butter, peanut butter and chips in a double boiler. Stir until smooth. Pour over cereal. Stir to coat. Add coated cereal to bag of powdered sugar. Shake.

sorry, mary, i know its the womans room, i just have to brag:
2 3lb pork roasts, cut to roll out, pounded out, then jacrandaD (a 30 blade knife that opens the meat for tenderizeing and maranading)
cranberry stuffing, added red and green apples, rasins.
liquid smoke and salt and pepper, orange juice and brown sugar
cooked till 170 degrees, last 20 minfoil off to brown and glaze the top. foil on bottom to kinda do same thing.

it was enough to feed 10 people, and i am still stuffed.

i wanted some chocholate covered peeps, the better half vetod them :(

I was going to make fried pork chops but I just got done crawling in muck and filth so I'm ordering pizza!

How do you fry your pork chops?? I do the pork loin and like mine breaded but hubby hates breading and now I'm not supposed to have it. I hate naked pork chops!!!

Notso! You are a mind reader..We had fried porkchops tonight! We also had sweet peas, stovetop stuffing and cinnamon applesauce with a little bit of carmel apple dip melted and drizzled on top.

Mike only likes breaded pork chops. He will eat it naked in a potato/golden mushroom soup cassarole.

I have heard people use unfrosted flakes in place of flour. I use a mixture of bread cumbs and flour. I understand that "Panko" is used also..that's a courser bread cumb that gives a crunchy texture to fried foods.

To favor naked pork chops you could use chopped apples/applesauce and smother the fried pork chops in them after the fring is done. Also a pear sauce (or chopped/sliced pears).
