I haven't skied in a minute though, like maybe10 years. It is actually probably one of the only things I enjoy doing in the snow, though. I bet I'd give it another shot, but we lived in France when I was little and my parents taught me to ski down the kiddy slope much as you ride a bicycle which like, they just shoved me down it and up it until I quit falling.

Really, my most disappointing experience skiing was in Colorado when I was about 17, where we all got the initial 2 day ski lesson like usual. Dood, I managed to wind up with the quintessential "ski instructor," all to myself. Things went great he even invited me to an after ski event , and to this day, I maintained that it would be the IDEAL way to lose my virginity, but my parents definitively felt otherwise, to the point that I think they called the ski school because said instructor was sent off with a gaggle of 12 year old boys the next day. He looked sad, too. I surely was.

I still think they were deeply deeply wrong, but I don't even bring it up anymore because lets face it, that ship has SAILED.

Parent blocked. Just watched an old episode of Californication where Hank took a dislike to his daughter's love interest since he was the younger version of himself.

Well my motorcycle training came in handy today or I'd be writing from the hospital if I were writing at all. At a light waiting to cross over to make my common trip to Harbor Freight. Light turned green, looked left car came to a stop looked right nothing coming. Started across and did my normal defensive second look. At least a second and a half had expired and here comes a white truck, full bore through the red light in the inside lane. Hit the brakes and saved my day.

I’m glad you’re ok Roth! That could have been really bad.

I mowed, verticut, seeded and fertilized my lawn today. I am wore out. The machine we rented was bigger and heavier than what we got in the past. It liked to have worked me to death.

LOL, glad I don't live in a development as far as lawn care is concerned.

The house my ex just sold was the first single I owned. I fertilized the lawn and had it looking great. The neighbors weren't happy. I only did it one year, I got their message.. It was told with half a laugh but I think they wanted to keep their wives from getting any ideas

There’s nothing that says we have to keep lawns looking good but my neighbor and I both had sprinklers installed several years ago. The neighbor across the street that asked us to go in on renting the machine let most of his yard die this year. He spent most of the day Saturday and Sunday working on it. It just took me 2-3 hours to mow and do everything. We have small lots that are maybe 1/8 of an acre if that. It’s so small that it’s easy to take care of. We only over seed every 2-3 years normally. Most years it’s just a few bags of fertilizer, weed preventer, and maybe a little spot spraying. That and water keeps it looking good.

I don't miss mowing (well kinda, my dad made me do it in HS, it was a decent workout) but I do miss grass. LOL.

I keep my gardening skills under wraps though, or I did. When we were finally getting ready to sell the house back east and I could see the husband was agitated, I mean, he kept trying to take the shears and whatnot away, I finally waited until he was out. I know how to make a yard look good.

We have a HOA that states, "This homeowner's agreement prohibits nothing. If you want to do something outrageous, ask your neighbor first and try to be reasonable, but it's between y'all. There are no dues or fees, and this HOA cannot be modified or changed or dissolved in perpetuity."

I think they even got a lawyer to do it, the first few folks in our subdivision moved from a place that turned into a fifty plus type of deal ,and they were upset. Although we did briefly have a salmon far behind us (it wasn't that bad) our neighborhood is called Wonderland for a reason.

Nice HOA. I can't imagine living in a property that establishes a "government" on top of all the other government regulations. I'm probably pure Libertarian. Much like your HOA situation is how we deal with Twp regulations. Neither my driveway shed or woodshed are "legal". Zoning requires them to be behind my house. However that was impossible on my 5 acres that are only 125 feet wide with a house that sits sideways. I just talked to my neighbors. They had no problems with it so they are where they are.

All three of my decks, two newly built and one rebuilt were done sans Twp approval. The original deck was so badly built and the front concrete porch sinking with their approval, I figured we'd do just as well on our own. I hosted a 90th birthday party for the live in's since departed grandmom, a really nice lady. I feared a crowd of that many people on the deck could lead to a disaster so we rebuilt it with larger pillars.

When my wife and I were looking for houses, there were three hills I was going to die on. It needed to have well water, natural gas, and absolutely no HOA.

My wife's grandparents live in a culdesac a mile away with an HOA, and their neighbor across the street takes walks with a ruler measuring peoples grass to make sure it's not too long. The HOA also gave them a hard time about a patio umbrella that was larger than 6 feet. Insanity.

Made the mistake of a Home Depot run yesterday. I went in with half an idea about replacing my 7 year old charcoal grill that's starting to rust out and ended up getting this 4 burner Weber gas grill. They were running a $200 off the ugliest color Labor Day in store only sale, and thankfully I don't give a hoot about the color.

I've got a pellet tray for my electric smoker that I'm going to experiment with in this grill. See if burning some charcoal/wood chips in there while cooking can't replicate the charcoal flavor while using gas.

Nice looking rig Waho and those webbers last forever. I camped with my brother inlaw over the holiday weekend and he has an old webber kettle grill that he takes with him. Well it fell off his shelve on the back of his camper and a cop pulled them over to let them know. Went back, picked it up, strapped it down and we used it all weekend. Built to last. I'm still having my love affair with my Traeger smoker my wife got me for father's day a couple of years ago. Ditched my gas grill and electric smoker since then and I don't miss either of them. I don't see myself going back now, just too easy to make really good meat on this thing.

Oh, and we live in a HOA sub and it's ok. The board is made up of homeowners and they are pretty cool. Rules are pretty loose and our dues cover our trash, road repairs, and plowing. All the lots are close to two acres and wooded so I don't see much of my neighbors unless we do some driveway drinking. Not a bad place to live and the school systems are very nice in this area.

That's a nice looking grill Waho. I actually like the color. I've been eyeing a grill at lowes made by Oklahoma Joe. Its a smoker and a gas grill along with a side fire box. It would reduce the cooking space as compared to my barrel smoker but I've never needed that much space anyway. After paying tuition for the oldest and school fees and such for the youngest, it's going to be a while before I can even think about getting a new grill. It sounds like you got a great deal on the weber.

We have a HOA but it sounds like it's a lot like Rebel's. There are a few rules but they are easy to follow and there are great schools. There is a homeowners board made up of people who live in the neighborhood and they are pretty easy to get along with. I served as president of the board several years ago. One term was plenty for me.

The only reason it was created was so some nosybody didn't come along and create one. I HATED the HOA in our last house its main focus seemed to be just random annoyance. Like one time we got cited for "excessive weeds" and drove to the Head Busybody's house and we could find weeds "there." We politely requested to be "directed to our weeds," and yes, like we had to um, spray roundup on these tiny mossy looking things.

Anytime you wanted to landscape (LOL even in the BACKYARD which to me is.. not quite sane) you had to buy a special permit.

The one issue we had (or neighbors raising dogs for food, I'm pretty certain) and they were penned up all night and BARKED, like loud enough to hear outside, they did absolutely nothing.

I have every animated conversation possible with the owners, including, "I know you eat your dogs, okay? I KNOW YOU DO. I don't even care, although you should know it IS illegal and I will even buy you are bark collar for the meat you are raising, but for the love of god, make it stop."

I mean, I did care, but I also cared more about the barking and we did call animal control a few times but they didn't do much either. I was not ready to get the police involved honestly... But that was the cycle. Dog appears.... dog barks non stop for about 8 months. Satisfied silence (on both sides of the fence) then, new dog appears etc.

But I came here to find out where I'm going to obtain some of the larger portion snus, so I should be working my way backwards to that post, not forwards.

As far as where to buys snus, I have bought from snuscentral, snusexpress, snus.us, buysnus, and maybe one or two others. I usually just price check between the sites and watch for discounts or sales. You should probably register at the different sites so you get their emails. I know snuscentral used to have a 10% off coupon listed on their site for first time customers.

Oh I checked them all. Heh. My hypothalamus kept insisting that I should buy a LOT of them, to deal with the shipping issue, and that Thunder rasberry being decommissioned like, did not help the situation.

Then I reminded myself that a) my start date is like more than a month away, and even IF I went through the whole tin I could buy at the gas station for two weeks, that would be FINE, it would be like 15 dollars a week and far nearer to my start date and first pay check.

I sure uh (wasted a lot of time) I mean did a bunch of investigating, including all possible coupon codes and really, it probably IS cheaper if you do it in bulk honestly, but I really don't have enough cash to buy enough tins to be satisfied with my lot, so I talked myself out of it. I mean, I now know what to do when I am like, pushed on time and I am sure I will find Other Enjoyable snuff flavors, I mean it's not like if Diet Pepsi went out of business I wouldn't like, switch to diet coke and eventually not care that much. Etc. But I had a long, interesting peruse through ALL the snus vendors and honestly, shipping may be a lot but at least it's speedy. There is that.

Yes, that is what I'm referring to, but some sites noted it as "discontinued." I hope that's not the case, and that some sites are just stopping carrying it is all. Because my first order, I'm going to order like 30 tins.

Who knows, the ways of the snus are still mysterious. I just saw it on deep discounts on many sites, with the annotation "discontinued" and well I totally hope your interpretation is the correct one, not mine, because I think it is Super Awesome.

I am also very glad that I held off on ordering. It would probably have made things bounce. Many snus companies have sent me emails like, "Did you lose your wallet" and like, I am tempted to email back, "Yes and I'm just waiting for you to send it to me, I'll pay you back later." I have found that such emails don't do much for me, they get ignored completely not even noted as slightly funny but I suppose if I were such a business owner, I would not have time for me and my emails.

    Anna

Also, I am ALMOST ready to report that MAN my relapse is a thing of the past! And @hittman you were a big part of that so MAJOR thank yous. :)
