Good morning. Like roth, I went from light to strong. I started out with mini mints and thunder frost minis. It didn't take very long before I was on to regular, strong, and extra strong portions.

skrymr, too bad you have to work this Friday. I'm not even going anywhere. I'm just really looking forward to not being at work.

Evening all. I ran across this thread in ECF on vaporizing real tobacco in my quest for understanding possibilities just in case the FDA gets nasty. There is a video of TB's where he's been experimenting with the ploom. He's used it and nasal snuff with a bit of vg or pg to refill the ploom bullets. An interesting video.

My inquiring mind got thinking how much I liked the tobacco flavored WTA I've tried and was curious as to the possibilities of vaporizing snuff or even los SO, I decided to get one of those whip type vaporizers and experiment. I figured with a temperature control, much like a VV, I might be able to find a sweet spot for finding the perfect after dinner vape. :)

Then there's always that flashback to the sixties.

Roth........I'm looking forward to your follow-up on this. I have an abundance of snuff that I could put to an alternative use if it works out. Just wonder how much hassle would be involved.

    Good luck!

looks as if the shop is nearing completion. i finally found a licensed electrician that wants to actually, you know, work? and he should be here monday.i guess the weekend will be spent closing in the ends of the shop to get it completely in the dry.
after that it's just finish work and building benches. I can't wait to get all of this crap that belongs to other people out of my house and in to the new digs.
Still haven't heard back from the mower guys and i'm hoping it's a good thing. gonna give em a call tomorrow and see what's doing - the yard is starting to look like a jungle.

Hitt, I ordered an Easy Vape Vaporizer. It looked rather simple, not nearly as expensive as some of the, shall we say, "professional toker" varieties. It's AC powered and has a digital readout to show what it's heated to, up to 400 degrees. I saw some spaced out kid (20 something) doing a Youtube on the various equipment that led me to that type unit. I considered buying a ploom but all I saw was dollar signs sitting in TB's loader ashtray with all the ploom empty cartridges. For around $70, I should have everything I need to experiment with and I figured I could craigslist it and recoup most of my cost if it doesn't work out. A better resale market, so to speak.

Nikks, that's the beauty of snus, a can does stretch. I've been freezing my cans for months/years now and, for the most part, they're still good. White portions seem to hold up best from my experience.

Wiz, I'm curious about that also and one of the reasons I went with the whip style devices. It looks like it will be easier to load than those little caps. I'm just hoping it delivers the flavor and the goods. We'll see and, of course I'll report.

FC, what did you think of the Iolite? I considered something along that line, but since this was really an experiment in my mind, I didn't want to sink a lot of money into it. My main concern was to understand what level of temperature would be required to deliver the goods. I also wasn't overjoyed with butane as my heat source although they state that it's flame-less.

I am also interested but concerned too. I wonder at what point is vaping too much like smoking. I've thought the same thing about WTA. I guess since its not actually burning tobacco that it must be safer. Some of the wta I tried from Dvap was realistic enough that I felt kind of guilty like I was smoking. Just another crazy thought that runs thru my head from time to time.

Roth, I've actually pulled out my corncob pipe and have been experimenting with that lately. If I can get a little more proficient with it I might invest in a better one for the odd occasion. If I can't get it to stay lit, I'll chuck it. I just want it for late at night mostly when I can just sit and relax. I don't want to be constantly re lighting it and fiddling too much.

Gutter, it sounds like you're workshop is coming along well. Congrats! I hope you get you're mower back before you have to make three passes to get you're lawn cut.

I have today off. They couldn't get anyone to work with me so they said have a nice long weekend. I really wanted a long weekend, so it works out for me.

    roth,
It works, but it's not something I'd take out and about with me. Most folks use those types of vaporizers for other plant materials. The feeling is more satisfying than eliquid, and it hits pretty hard. There is a faint smell of tobacco with it, stronger than eliquid, but not anywhere near the level of smoking a cig.

Having a couple of rare hours of down time tonight, enjoying:

    Welcome Nikk!

Hey all. Hj is still sick. It has been a full week now. I am not holding out much hope at this point. My vet said he wanted to keep him through the weekend, I think that was more to give me an emotional break than for the dog, but I left him with my vet. He's been there more or less since monday. I'm incredibly depressed.
