Good morning. Thanks for the congrats on the cello war. It feels good for the hunt to be over. Now it'll be time to write the check. That'll be a little painful too but then it will be done and we can move on. Work has been a little slow lately and I'm ready for things to pick up some. There's always something to do here but it's better for me and the boss if I'm billing out hours. I guess I better go do something.

I thought I'd let folks know that I got an email from getsnus this morning and they are offering free shipping on orders over 2lbs. That would be about two rolls of regular portions. They are higher priced like northerner but if someone just wanted a couple rolls then it might be worth it to save the shipping. They are also carrying stonewall, ariva, and some cheap crap e-cigs now. I also saw that they are carrying Marlboro snus but the cans don't look like the stuff they sell at gas stations. It's in a regular round can and there is a regular and mint. Also saw Odens came out with one called 69. It's 9mg. So many types of snus and so little time( and money).

Hi Axl. I got my workout in tonight. I'm sweating like a pig. My run started out a little lame but improved toward the end. I haven't had much motivation lately and skipped last night. I should probably at least walk on nights I don't feel like doing a full workout.

Hitt- it's good to hear the cello thing is at least sorted out now.

It's funny to hear you guys talking about sweating to death. since i've been riding,i've noticed that you don't start sweating untill you stop. a buddy and i got in some miles today and were both fine in 90 degree heat as long as we were moving - as soon as we quit, out came the waterworks...

of course, there's nothing interesting to talk about.I'm hoping to get sleepy here in a bit..

Good morning. It's good to hear from you gutter. I was just thinking yesterday that I hadn't seen you in a day or two. That's great you are enjoying riding so much. I usually don't start sweating much until I hit the 1/2-3/4 of a mile mark and then it's open the flood gates. I read somewhere that if you take 500mg of vitamin c about an hour before a workout that you can burn up to 25% more calories. I guess the vitamin c raises your body temp or something.
I'm taking the day off tomorrow to go to my daughter's orchestra concert for the orchestra camp that she's been going to for the past month. She said she really feels like she has learned a lot there. It will be nice to have a day off for a change and I always enjoy going to the kids school stuff when I can.

    Enjoy your day off Hitt!!

I worked an extra long day today (my boss is going through one of his psychotic episodes) and tomorrow I have to be there around 6 (A.M.!!!) (which is 3.5 hours earlier than I usually get there). I want a day off!! Plus, he and his son were taking turns hunting me down today to ..... about eachother. As if I don't have enough to do.

On a positive note, we took the kids to the carnival today and they had a great time. Funny, I remember as a kid being SO excited to go on carnival rides and eat the food. I also remember as a teenager getting all dressed up/made up/hair done to go walk the midway and troll for guys. I see girls are still doing that, only in MUCH shorter shorts than I ever would have worn. OMG, I have underwear more covering than the shorts teenie boppers are wearing these days. Dang, they must be very comfortable with their bodies.

You won't be seeing my daughters in any of those skimpy shorts. There's a teenage girl down the street that wears them and I can't believe her parents let her out the door like that. Girls don't have to show half their .... to be attractive. I know its the style or whatever but not at my house.

Well, now I'm shopping for small tea bags in quantity for my new hobby- Los. My Snus Central order arrive much as described by every else this time. It would have been three days had someone been here, but I stayed home today and xmas came in June. I got the Stainless Ice Tool Box and Portioner basically free for the difference in price between Northern and SC. Broke open my first can of Los, wasted a tea bag and made my first Pris of Phantom Classic Brown. Thats a V2 product with a smoky tobacco flavor. My first impression is very favorable. I'm hoping to find tea bags that I can use 1 each per portion, sealed on three sides and folded over to seal. That's how I made this one and I'm moving it around as normal with no leakage. Happy camper.

Waiting to hear how the girl who crashed her car New Year's day makes out in court. I sat through the first two days of the trial, but my snus order took priority. I thought I'd get a call this afternoon so I'm dying to find out what the defense brought to the table. Don't want to say much here till the trials over. I'd hate a mistrial baseed on a post from the darkside.

I did get into a conversation with the guard at the courthouse, going through the metal detector. I of course set off the metal detector so the guard was "wanding" me. The gal that was checking the tub contents held up my Chuck which I forgot to take out of my MC jacket and asked what it was. I told her and e cig and she seemed satisfied with the answer and that it wasn't a pipe bomb disguised as a Penn State novelty item. The guard said "water vapor, right?" and then asked if it worked. I said that and Swedish snus made me an ex-smoker. He replied that he wasn't a quitter but was curious about snus so after the next person was through I showed him the portions and gave him a bit of a sales pitch.

:banana: Happy dance for Roth getting his order on time. I don't really know what you are talking about when you spoke of the girl that wrecked her car. It must be interesting to have seized your attention. You didn't happen to get any of the Oden's extreme to try did you? I am wondering if it really feels as strong as it sounds. If no one else does first then I'm going to get a couple cans the next time I order. I really don't need anything right now but would like to try that and get some more lab02. I was looking the other day and saw a bunch of new ones that I haven't tried yet so my next order my be a bunch of one and two can selections so I can sample some of this stuff. I'm also interested in the Odens 69.

I took a vacation day and went to my daughter's orchestra recital this morning and we went to steak and shake for lunch. Everyone got shakes too. I need to find something a little healthier for dinner. We have been wanting a new refrigerator for a while and I saw that lowes is running a special on one that would match our other appliances. It's not really a good time to buy a fridge with having to pay for the cello saturday but I'm thinking about taking advantage of the sale and can also get the ten percent military discount. Our fridge is really old and we have outgrown it. The kids are bigger and we have to keep more groceries now. The other day I couldn't even fit a water bottle in there after my wife did the shopping for the week. Not to mention it's aggravating having to move something every time you want to get something out.

Man Hitt, that sounds like a healthy discount. Didn't know you were in the service. I could get the discount too, but I don't think I have any documentation of discharge or anything to validate my service. Didn't take much documentation when I separated from the wife and have lived three places since. Probably should check out how to get something, you never know when it might come in handy.

None of that extreme snus in the package, but it looks like I got quite a few cans I never tried. I've found SC's surprise rolls to be pretty decent. This is the third roll of various cans and since there isn't much I don't like it's worked for me. This time I got one portion roll and one los roll. Lots of new stuff to try once I figure out where I'm going to get tea bags.

I know I've posted a lot of crimes this year (three or four local murders and this accident). New Years Day about 6:30 she and her boy friend left a party after getting drunk, high and consuming C. They had planned to stay, but he was looking for a night cap (being polite), she was having none of it, he left the bedroom got a beer and showed his displeasure to the woman hosting the party. The host then went to bed and shortly it got real noisy coming from her room as the bed board started banging against the wall. That brought the guest out of the BR again and apparently her bf started pushing for action again.

She got po'd and decided to leave, he followed and jumped in the car before she pulled out. Less than a mile later, he slumped over and looked to be getting sick, she didn't see the black ice and slid off the road hitting three trees and he was dead. She ended up getting off the DUI homicide charge due to the road conditions, but was convicted of various other charges. I expect she'll be in jail for a number of years regardless.

Why I was there was due to the fact that my gf knew both of them when she lived in their area some 12-15 years ago. She shot in a pool league in their area for a session last year and ran into them at that time. I met the girl once, when my gf had her down to my place in VA Thanksgiving. She slept at my house the evening before they left. In fact my gf went back down for New Years and asked her to go with her, but she couldn't go because of work. I think she probably wishes she had taken off.

She seemed okay when I met her, but what I've learned since she has some serious issues- a couple DUIs, both she and her bf had suspended licenses and both were basic emotional train wrecks. She should have been sentenced to some serious rehab earlier but that type thing never seems to get done. Need to feed the penal system. My gf drove her mother to the trial the last couple days and after years of denial and having the family treat her like an outcast, her mother admitted that her brother had molested her when she was a teenager. Everyone at the time claimed she was lying and hit the truth. Some sick history and a tragic mess.

It really is quite a culture shock for a country boy like myself with a normal, boring family life growing up and no drama. My sister and I never really had an argument and our family life was closer to a blue collar Beaver Cleaver without the sophomoric humor. Glad it's over though, the whole thing was emotional draining, just from observing the players.

Good morning. Roth I'm not sure but I would think that you could go to the VA and get an id card or something. I kept my old military id card and that's all you need to get the discount. I use it every time I go to lowes. I still haven't braved the los and honestly don't know if I will. There's this old guy that comes into our store once in a while that chews skoal or something and always has a little dribble trail of chew runnning down the corner of his mouth and chew in his teeth. Everytime I think about los I get a picture of that guy in my head. It's kinda like a vietnam flashback. Things look to be fairly smooth today here at work and that will lead into a long weekend. Perfect. We have quite a bit of fireworks left over from last year since we got rained out early in the evening. I do need to take the kids to pick a little bit more. It's kind of a tradition that I take the kids to shop for fireworks without the wife. She has no interest in it. Tomorrow I get to pay off the 3/4 cello and take it out to the other strings store to trade in and pay for the new one. I get sick to my stomach thinking about writing that check. Oh well. My daughter is extremely happy that she is getting the better instrument. I'm happy for her too.

Both of my male co workers use chew and I don't notice the brown dribble or stuff in their teeth. Well, once in awhile I'll see a little in their teeth but otherwise they aren't gross. I wonder if it would be hard to keep a los portion in though since it would be on the top instead of bottom. I'm sticking to the portion snus for sure.

Did she play the new cello in the concert?

We had a local boy drown in the lake last night. Very sad. Apparently he and a friend swam out to the buoy which is about 200 feet from shore. On their way back one started struggling and called for help. The other decided he couldn't help him and swam to shore. The struggling boy went under and didn't come up. It took them several hours to find the body. Me and the kids were less than ten feet from the mother of the drowned boy. The anguish on her face was just awful. She had to know the search was not going to end well. I can't even imagine what she was going through. I hope I never have to experience anything like that. My kids are not allowed in that damn lake under ANY circumstances. Almost every summer 1 or two people die and have to be fished out and almost every winter someone goes through the ice. I think the lake is evil.

    What's everyone doing this weekend?

That is indeed a sad story Axl. I couldn't even imagine the grief one would feel if something like that happpened. There must be something in the air. I took my car in to my usual place for an oil change this morning and the manager had just gotten a call that a friend had been killed in a car accident overnight. Then a little later this morning one of the guys at work came in and told me that one of the salesman's mother passed away this morning. So much sadness in such a short time frame.

My daughter did play the new cello in the concert. We are going tomorrow to pay for it and she said that the bow she picked is hurting her hand so we're gonna take time to let her try out some different bows.

Hitt, too many years have passed for me to have kept anything, but I think I may have to get documentation (if possible) from the VA. I know a lot of the Viet Nam era records were destroyed in a fire a while back, but it would be interesting to find out if they still have my records. I don't think I have any of my uniforms left at this point either as they shrank over time, I think. I wasn't aware that Lowes had that policy all the time when you first posted.

As far as the Los, I had the same thoughts. I read the how to thread and could only think of the broken portions. However, the various posts about better flavor from Los so I decided to invest in the effort. Stubby's thread scared me a bit and I prefer to have three sides already sealed so I'm looking for the right empty tea bags. As it is, I haven't had any issues in my first four attempts so I'm happy. Axl, minis would be much easier, but I like the larger portions. For a mini portion user, a can could last a very long time. I'm still working on getting the right size for me. Will keep my experience updated.

Axl, that was a sad story. I took swimming lessons at my aunts one summer on a lake when I was fairly young. I was less than overjoyed at jumping off the wooden platform they used for the high dive and pretty terrified on the final test where we had to swim out to a pontoon raft that sat some fifty yards from shore. After doing it once my fear subsided, but I can see that there could have been an issue in getting help in time if I had panicked. What his mother must be feeling now as well as all of you that witnessed it.

Sounds like a bad day all around from reading the rest of the posts.
