But if we Didn't have all these Silly Provari vs. _________ Debates, what would all the people who Enjoy Watching People Fight do All Day?
It's Kinda a Roman Gladiator thing if you ask me.
I'll wager 8 quatloos on the hairy one from Gaul!

The statement about variable voltage being the same as variable wattage, sorry, you are just wrong on this. Yes, the two are related but they arent the same thing.
I use only rebuildables at this point. I cant stand carto tanks and I havent found any other tank system that Im happy with. One was mentioned earlier in this thread (I cant remember which it was so Ill go back and look for it tom. so I can order it).
The number one problem with rebuildables is their resistances change ALOT. Both just after you build the coil, and drops relatively quickly a few days AFTER you build and are using the coil. It also slowly drops for about a week or two until it stabilizes two weeks in, at which point its usually time to build a new coil.
The liquid I vape (Melon Bola?) from Good Life Vapor has a 'sweet spot' of 8 watts, with the Zatty. Anything much above that and it burns the taste (you can get away with 8.5 or 'maybe' 9 watts). Anything much below and the flavor is to pungent OR the Zatty wicks too quickly and it floods, lowering the throat hit significantly.
The ENTIRE reason I wanted VW is because, when I notice that my Zatty isnt performing like it should, 99% of the time its because the resistance changed, thus, I have to change the voltage.
Variable Wattage on the other hand, I can set it to 8 watts and NEVER go into the menu again (well, mostly never).
Just throw them to the lions.
Nope I paid $159.99 (the price of a satin silver mini from Provape) on principal.
I'm in the military, my mods dont live comfy lives in my cars cup holder or on my desk. They go to the field, they get dirty, hot, cold, wet and dropped a lot. My Vamo didn't last a day, Vamo #2 lasted 2 more days. I didn't know about Fasttech at the time so that was $120 dollars worth of dead mod in 3 days. Purchasing a third would of brought the grand total above what I paid for a mini. I quit smoking because of vaping. I wouldn't last long with out it.
What is my commitment to staying cig free worth? What I paid for Provari is a pittance compared to the piece of mind I get from my Provari. I abuse the hell out of it, it takes it and asks for more. Like anything else you get what you paid for. I paid for a Mod that will not let me down. As far as I know the only thing that's managed to kill a Provari was an industrial lawnmower.
My earlier post was in response to the assertion that a vamo is superior because of accuracy. The Vamo is a good device for what it is, it's cheap, has good performance and gives folks the ability to carry over their EGO threaded devices. I get the hole "Pushing Provaris' thing. If some one is looking for a VV/VW Mod for under $100 then a Provari dosn't fit the criteria and suggesting one doesn't answer the question and is no help.
What tickles me more is not the "Provari Pushers" but the haters, mention a Provari in any context and you are labelled a "fanboi" or an "Apologist" and then fill their thread full of hate and negativity. It's wrong to be a "Fanboi" but it's some how excepted to personally attack and post negative comments about some one simply because they are a little overly enthusiastic about the device they love.
I'm the opposite. I take a ProVari when I go out because it's a little tank.
I take mine to work, in a factory. Cuz it's not going to break if I look at it the wrong way. And take it everywhere else, too.
It's not the Provari itself that is the reason for the disagreements/ arguments. It's the Provari fanboi's that cause problems by telling others outright lies to justify their purchase. What lies, you ask?
The Provari makes your juice taste better.
The Provari's vape quality (not consistency) is better.
You can tell the difference immediately between the Provari's 800hz firing over any other mod that fires at 33.3hz.
I've seen theses claims time and again. Yet when I've issued a challenge to Provari owners to prove (through a simple test) that they could tell the difference between their Provari and another mod, they became indignant. Not one owner to this day has taken my challenge. Then, when they started throwing numbers at me to prove the Provari vaped better, I quoted a comment by their Provari god, Phil Busardo, who said that he rarely can tell the difference between a Provari and a Vamo.
And yes, I own a Provari. I've performed the test myself, with the aid of a friend who owns 6 Provari's now. Neither of us could tell the difference between the Provari and 3 other mods (Tesla, Sigelei V3 Flat top and a iTaste SVD).
The good Provari owners tell you the real reasons for buying a Provari. It's built like a tank, it's highly reliable, The fact that it has a great warranty and that Provape is a really great company that backs it's product 100%. That is what you are paying for. Provape makes no such idiotic claims about better tasting juice, or better vape quality, or that anyone should be able to tell the difference between 800hz or 33.3hz. If they were in fact true, then why would'nt they use these reasons as a selling point?
My Provari is great, but I'm selling it. Why? Because a good mech mod with a volt meter is just as good, and I can build lower ohm coils ( 1.0 ohm and below) if I want too. And it'll be just as reliable, maybe more, because it's got less inside of it that can breakdown.
Here come the Fanboi's...
Honestly, I really don't care what others think. I do care that I don't own a piece of crap device that I have to worry about and have a bunch of backup for in case something breaks. I also don't care about the price. It was worth it to me to not have to fuss with it.
I've always found it odd when people say things like You could buy 5 of XXX for the price of 1 ProVari. If I had wanted 5 XXX, I would have bought them.![]()
It's the needyness of the owners and their constant urge to justify and defend, they are just troll bait, chill out no one cares about your mod they just like to to wind you up.
I can live with the fanboi and the anti-fanbois as long as neither suggest analogs as an alternative.![]()
If your'e ever at a national meet I'd like to take that challenge. Most low frequency mods seem to burn a bit hot, even when calibrated for RMS. No- I won't mind losing... but it would be interesting.
But if you want to have real fun... consider this:
Whether it's 33Mhz or 800Mhz you're exposing your face to electromagnetic radiation off the coil of the atomizer at 6 to 15 watts. Of course it's not ionizing radiation. But the RF field does heat human flesh.
For more fun: 33Mhz is a government mobile band (USA), and 800Mhz is public cellular (might have changed) and is UHF television in Europe.
So if you want to "stick it to the man" go for the 33Mhz mod.

Exactly. And the mere thought of 5 Vamo "faces" (the configuration of the buttons look like a face) staring at me kinda creeps me out, too.
