When did your craving for an analog go away? Or has it?

This is my 10th day vaping and I have to be honest and say although I did have a few cigs during the week I did not enjoy it and I missed vaping. (I only had those because my battery died)

I started with 6mg cartos and I ordered 4mg and Omg. I will be nic free in a few weeks.

I think I can honestly say that I lost the craving for analogs within the first few days.

Do you still crave or did you get past it?

PS: I was at least a pack a day smoker for over 7 years.

I had an almost full pack of cigs the day i got my ecig. I took both to poker league that night and alternated between the 2. By the end of the night, I was dreading the cigarettes and was beyond happy when I finished the last one (I'm too cheap to throw them out)

I had a cigarette a couple of months in when a battery died on me at the courthouse. I bummed one and got sick after 2 drags. Since then, I still have an occasional urge..especially under high stress or when I just can't seem to get my equipment to give me a good hit, but I think back on that day at the courthouse and remember how nasty it was. It gets me through the tough times.

I'm 3 months in and don't really think about cigs that much. Occasionally, I think about having one simply because I don't exactly remember how it differs from vaping and I kinda want to see, but I'm not sure that's a great idea. I tend to fall off the wagon hard. Congrats on the nicotine, though. I'm still on 18-24 mgs and keep putting off any attempts to lower it.

I still get cravings, sometimes very strong ones, but it's mostly the psychological aspect kicking in. I've learned what my major triggers are so I've been able to resist the temptation by vaping and reminding myself that analogs never did anything to really help those situations, they only served to get me some time away from them. Vaping can do the same thing for me, so no need for the analogs, no matter what my cravings may tell me.

Buy a bottle or a few carts of a lower nic on your favorite juice and try it out. Don't think about the nic just the flavor and experience. I'll be you wont even notice... then do it with a smaller nic dose again in a few weeks. Soon you will be down to 0mg. Some people don't want to be at 0 But I want a very healthy smoke :)

EDIT: misspelled nic

Half a day, honestly. I had bought a pack just before getting mine, it sat on my desk (missing 4 smokes) for a month before I got around to throwing it out, never wanted one.

If you still are having cravings, you probably need to INCREASE your nicotine, until the cravings go away. Then you can work on lowering the nic if that's what you want.

I'm like 40 days into vaping. i've got a 1/2 of pack of marlboro menthol lights on my night stand just to remind me how much they taste like dirt & how far i've come.
I vape 24mg nicotine. Today was my first craving in the last 40 days. I simply changed to a different juice, now i'm all better. no cravings.

I had serious cravings the first month and I always gave into them (I smoked four packs that month). Then it pretty much passed and I've had only one serious crave in the last six weeks. I kicked the crave with, "I will not beat myself up over this. If I still want a Pall Mall tomorrow, I'm going to have one." Tomorrow came and I really wasn't interested in the Pall Mall anymore.

I started vaping this past Tuesday, finished my two analogs on Thursday. It's Sunday today, and I'm craving analogs big time. I've been vaping continuously today, but since I only have a shorty battery, I have to constantly charge it. I been vaping 18 mg, but it seems like it is not enough nicotine. I do not want to increase my nicotine either, but today I am feeling a little shaky and have a slight headache. But I am determined to not buy analogs. Waiting for my favorite juice Chocolate Peppermint to be delivered. I think I need that chocolate too! : )

I don't necessarily have the urge to smoke because of addiction. It's more of the setting that gets to me. My boyfriend smokes and he'd always light my cigarette for me, which I find very sweet. It's chivalry in smoking, kind of like opening the door for a lady. Unfortunently, him trying to drip for me turns out messy so if I'm in a sweet mood, I take the proffered cigarette

My husband and I quit analogs three months ago. I was cleaning out my closet couple of days ago and I found an old pack of analogs. There was moment of hesitation and then I threw them in trash. It's just not the same anymore. You can't tailor the experience to suit your taste with analogs. I like the choice of different flavors and choosing my nic level. I feel like I have more control now.

^^^THIS!

I've been cigarette free for six months and it only took a few hours for the urge to go away. I haven't thought about it since. Why would I want to go back to one nasty flavor and smell when vaping gives me so many tasty flavors to choose from now?

I've been analogue free for 11 weeks on wednesday and i have the odd bad day when i crave a cigarette . I have not smoked one since the 5 th of january. I feel if i can make it to six months i'll be there so another 3 months and one week plus a couple of days to go . I have enough juice and atomisers to do it. Best of luck to all of you.
