I might take issue with the magnitude of your own analogy. And as I said, hundreds of thousands, truly millions, of people dying of COPD or lung cancer is nothing to sneeze at. Unless you cannot see past the politics you insist on putting into the analogy.

You do realize the magnitude of my analogy was the point, to illustrate the manner in which yours breaks down due to scale ridiculousness?

And once again, those people are not going to directly die because people can't vape in a vape shop. And the smoking they are doing that potentially but not assuredly causes those conditions, is a product of their own choices.

Cloud Minder, I have interest in further arguing this, and I certainly never intended to convince you of anything. Those that have followed the discussion can come to their own conclusions. Over and out. Feel free to have the last word, as this is surely mine.

I will indeed take this opportunity to "have the last word" especially in light of your expostulation "I have interest in further arguing this", and those last words are, ...

Have a nice day.

When I first investigated quitting smoking I seriously thought that to be successful I needed to replace cigarettes with as close a replacement as I could find. And to me that meant a cigarette flavoured juice.

After sampling every cigarette flavoured juice in the store, and believing them all to taste like crap I tried other flavours. Finally, after trying quite a few I found some samples I did like.

I attribute my success at quitting 100% to vaping being an enjoyable replacement. Had I not had the opportunity to sample, I'm not sure I would have committed to the entry cost of vaping, and I'm positive I would not have found a flavour I liked.

As far as I'm concerned vape stores, the education they provide, the ability to try vaping has been essential to me committing to vaping and for to have success. Driving .................. and vape stores out of business is costing lives, specifically people like me who would not have tried it, or successfully quit without the help of B&M shops.

Analogies do not have to be perfect, nor do the consequences have to be equally severe. Those that believe analogies have to be perfect are, in my opinion, analogy challenged.

Analogies are a good way of shedding light on a topic sometimes, and fun too. But only if all the folks in the conversation are willing to play the game that way.
