Hey guys. I've recently decided to start looking into making my own juice for multiple reasons. Biggest of all being cost.

I'm not sure where to start. I found a website that has a lot of supplies and prices seem decent. But what I'm unsure about is the nicotine most of all. What would I need if I wanted to achieve a 24mg nic level in my juices? I saw some of the nic bottles you can buy from the site appear to be in different strengths but I'm not sure which one to buy in what situations.

Also any other tips as far as what liquid products to buy would be appreciated. Thx guys.
I'm also very aware of the safety procedures for use and storage so I don't need the spiel if you feel inclined to give it : )

Everybody has their own method I feel the most cost efficient way would be to use the 100mg nic liquid and delute it into your juices to the desired level using an e liquid calculator.

My calculations show a 60ml bottle of 100mg nic liquid making roughly 500ml of 12mg eliquid for me.

The Nic strength is what you are comfortable with, bearing in mind the final ratio of pg/vg you are trying to achieve.

Some people are not comfortable working with the higher strength Nicotine and choose to work with a lower strength.

If you like high vg then a low strength pg nic is not going to work for you. Conversely, with high pg ratios and low nic vg will be harder to get to your goal.

Its all about your level of comfortablity and the ratio of pg to vg you are trying to make.

Good explanation deedee just dont forget even if u have high level nic thats pg u cal always add more normal pg so it doesnt have to be a high vg mix. But it doesnt work the other way if u have low nic pg and u want a high vg mix your going to run into problems potentialy

Are you kidding they are probably buying the ingredients in 55 gallon drums they are making a killing.

a 30 ml of pre mixed liquid costs anywhere from 10 to 20 dollars in should cost you between 1 to 3 dollars to make yourself.

I really hope that everybody who complains about juice vendor prices starts mixing and then becomes a vendor to sell their juice for $3 a 30ml. I really do.

May have to anyway if the FDA gets their way. I'll be damned if I'm going back to prefill cartos and not allowed to by juice bottles.

Yep, but then again I think everyone should mix.

Then again I think everyone should slaughter and butcher their own meat, for each type of meat they eat, at least once and grow their own vegetables for at least 5 years too. It makes one appreciate what they have and how markets work.

Helps distance yourself from government regulations too...

I highly recommend the e-juice me up calculator linked above by DeeDee1234. Play around with it to get familiar and see how changing 1 value at a time affects the outcome.

Here's what works for me. I buy 60 mg/ml nic in pg. My end goal is 65pg/35vg at 18 mg/ml or lower. What I've found is it's convenient to mix up say 120 ml of base at a nic level about 6% above my end target, so 24 mg/ml for me. Also the ratio of the base needs to be lower in pg since most flavors add pg to the mix.

For me a base of 24 mg/ml at 55pg/45vg is the sweet spot which allows anywhere from 5 to 20% flavor to be added and still be able to end up at my nic and pg/vg ratio targets. Small amounts of pg or vg will be all you need to fine tune your mix once you have predetermined what percentage flavor is going to be used. The higher your base nic level is above your target, the more flexibility you will have.

Just a guess as a starting point for your goal of 24 mg at 70/30, try plugging in a 60/40 and 30 mg nic value and see what happens as you change the flavor percent from 5 to 10 to 15 etc. As long as you don't get the dreaded "negative value warning" you're good and it will fill in the additional pg and or vg that needs to be added to get to your goal (usually small amounts). Don't forget to add your 70/30 target values in the lower left of the calculator.

At a final ratio of 70/30 you will want your nic in pg. 60 ml of 60 mg/ml pg nic plus 12 ml pg and 48 ml vg will give you 120 ml 60/40 at 30 mg/ml

Hope that helps. Good luck!
