I always wanting to ask this question on a forum. Based on all the threads on ecf and on other forums, I get the notion that people tend to vape in places or areas where they were not able to smoke analogs. Personally, I do not vape anywhere that I could not smoke. I do not have the time or the patience to explain that what I am doing is legal.

Also, I do not understand why you would need to do it. I cannot understand why anyone would think it was ok to vape at work or in a bar or restaurant, It is not necessary in my opinion. I also hope that no-one would be dumb enough to vape on a plane. I think that would be just plain idiotic to do something like that.

This is my opinion. I would love to know yours.:2c::2c:

Your opinion is short sighted and limited, IMO.

Many of us advocate vaping openly BUT respectfully and with common sense. Your vaping method reinforces the perception that vaping and smoking are the same and equally harmful. You also take a "selfish" path that says "I don't have the time or inclination" to help others understand what vaping is and is not and possibly help someone (or a loved one of theirs) break the smoking habit. Clearly, that is a choice you have a right to. Just not one that helps others or the vaping community.

And starting one more thread on this topic when there are easily 100 you could read by looking at the "vaping in public" sub-forum, is one more "newb" thread on a topic that has been beaten to death.

I vape in my truck and have vaped in every room in my house. I'm particularly fond of puffing in bed.

I don't vape at work, not even stealth vaping.

It's not a big deal to me to go outside if I'm at a bar, show, etc.

I love this hobby and I love this lifestyle and refuse to do anything that would cause the powers that be to inhibit my ability to do it in the few places I do.

I vape in my car on my commute;
I vape at the job, but I'll vape before most of my co-workers get there;
and, of course, I vape at home.

Some public places I'll vape at (parks, just walking in town). Never been hassled about it; more often than not, I'll have people with questions approach me, and I'll answer questions about vaping the best I can.

I try to vape anywhere I can, but I do try to ask if it's ok.

I do the same. If I'm at a restaurant of some kind, I make sure to find a member of the management staff and explain what I would like to do, mention that there are no proven negative effects to the non-vaping public around me and ask permission. I think that respect and rudimentary education is what will help acceptance of vaping grow.

Me also riseabove -- I vape around my nephews that use to say I smelled of stinky smoke. Vaping in bed, now that IS enjoyable!

I think We pretty much vape alike, except I may push the boundaries hoping to educate without trying to infuriate.
