Hi Classy, we aren't there yet, Z is rushing the season. It will be a few more weeks before the leaves turn.

Classy, the leaves are in full color here, by the middle of October. A New England autumn is spectacular, the gold and red leaves, with a splash of brown and some green. It truly is a sight to behold, but it doesn't last long.

I do miss the midwest fall colors of nature...I bet the ones you have there are much better !

Classy, I can't say that they are better, but in good years they are spectacular. The right combination of summer sun and rain, brings out the great colors. They say that this year will be a great one.

Good morning, j0kers. It's going to be a stormy day, with high winds.

My lamp is on sale. It's still expensive but I only need one so that won't be too bad. Have to go to Crate & Barrel today.

I still haven't decided which color to get -- both will go with the area I'm putting it in. But I finally get to get rid of the ugly 20-year track lighting strip that I use as a night light for the birds.

My new hobby -- decapitating Q-Tips.

Q-Tip heads perfectly fit in the top of a Vivi Nova for mopping up any liquid that got in there. If it doesn't have the stick, it will sit there on it's own so you can leave it in place while you refill the tank.

Birds adore Q-Tips. The best toy in the world -- even better than knotted tissues. But if you give them the whole thing, they shred the cotton and end up eating some of it which is not good.

Solution: Decapitate bunches of them at the same time. Store the tops with vaping supplies and have a jar of bird toys ready-made.
