Drivers door is about 10" longer than the passenger door. Makes in and out for the driver great. Passenger door is normal size.

The hemp probably needs to be rehydrated. Like wood, if it gets dried out it gets brittle & will crumble. Not sure what to use to do that tho.Doree is dusting it off and one thing is very apparent, this thing is old and very fragile. I am going to have to impress the UPS store that's packing it up to do a good job and make sure it's packed tightly to avoid damage.

Maybe a mister bottle of water mixed with a bit of glycerin? The hemp probably needs to be rehydrated. Like wood, if it gets dried out it gets brittle & will crumble. Not sure what to use to do that tho.
I was thinking the same thing.Maybe a mister bottle of water mixed with a bit of glycerin?
I'll pick some glycerin up in the morning and give it a try. Damn things been hanging on the wall for forty years. Doree made it in 1976 so 39 years. I sure want it to stand up for shipping and hanging for Kay.Maybe a mister bottle of water mixed with a bit of glycerin?
I'm thinking mineral oil & a little water to thin it so it will spray. Mineral oil like is used on butcher block or Woodvil's. Nothing with wax in it. Wax would coat the fibers. Not good. But mineral oil will soak in & soften the fibers, the water will evaporate. Just have to give it several light treatments. Can't soak it, it would get too heavy & the weight would tear it up, as fragile as it is. Just a good spray, front & back, wait a week & do it again. Keep doing that until you can tell it's rehydrated & limber, not brittle. Then repeat a spray couple of times a year to maintain. Especially with heat running in winter.Maybe a mister bottle of water mixed with a bit of glycerin?
Dont use glycerin, it will coat it, not soak in. Hemp is a botanical fiber, like wood. Shipping it to Kay and let her mess with it. Just want to add enough moisture so it won't fall apart during shipping. Once she has it on the wall she can treat it once a week for a couple of months and that should rejuvenate it.I'm thinking mineral oil & a little water to thin it so it will spray. I started to make some effort to eat healthier about 8 or 9 years ago when my doctor told me I had high bad cholesterol and low good cholesterol. But it wasn't until 2012 that I started doing any cooking at all. My stove had seriously not been used even one time for a good 10 years before 2012. Since then, I've kind of gotten into it. The electric pressure cooker is a new toy that I'm really enjoying.Dave sorry if you mentioned it before but is this healthy food your usual diet or a recently adopted one ?
Nope.Got all the inside security cameras installed. I was worried because I didn't buy the best system if you know what I mean. 900 line cameras and a DVR with a 1TB hard drive. I haven't set it up yet but when finished I should be able to access it via my smart phone and it will text/email me when motion is detected. Pretty cool. Can you find the camera?![]()
