They know that for every employee they have, there are a hundred people waiting to apply for that job, so, they abuse the employees. Poor Fudgey. :(

Well of course the folly of that approach is that it is very expensive to train a new employee, and the corporate knowledge is very valuable too. I think its self destructive. But the "firm" wont realize it until they have imploded.

Oh no. That really sucks when you can use BOTH of those sentences. Sounds like you are REALLY burnt out. I think that some employers think that with the current economy they can just push and push and push. After all, what are you, the employee going to do? ... Well, the answer is that eventually you are broken, and they are out a valuable asset. Sounds like you are broken dear. Work that resume!

Pretty burnt out here!!! That's the thing if we would get a little recognition for working our butts off for the last 9 months maybe me and another lady would feel differently!!! But I don't see that happening. Bad thing is......my boss was just diagnosed with breast cancer and had a lump removed. That makes us really sad :cry: Not sure how much chemo they will have to do.

LOL.......anyone new wouldn't last very long if they have to work as much as we do!!!

When they implode, they will just run to the gubmint for bailout money. :facepalm:

Well, Ralph, there were 5 of us in here tonight and hopefully some new people will see this thread and maybe join us. I hope that I can make some more people, j0kers, to replace the former j0kers. :thumbs:

I wish that I could promise that I would be here more often. Seems like I said that last time (even promised) and failed miserably. I will try and be around more often.

Corporate America doesn't care, Fudge. The employees are just machinery to them, not human beings.

I know it. How hard is it to provide a little bit of recognition and throw a perk or two. .......os! ..... I sure hope that your boss gets well soon. That is sad!

No kidding about the hard work thing. These companies dont realize how valuable jewels like yourself are. If only you could be a fly on the wall to watch them twist in the wind when you leave. :lol:

New would be nice but I'd like to see some of the old back. I miss them!!!

Amen

I think this economy gives corporations leverage to screw their employees. Then again, some businesses are just trying to get by at this point. The small ones fail. The big ones get bigger.

Thanks sugar. It was great to see you here. I hope that things settle down at work. I know that it sucks. I see the same sort of tightening happening in even the very small businesses. Hang in there, but work on that resume. There may be something better out there. :wub::wub:

Jan, I too have to pack up and move along. It was great seeing all of you tonight and I will try not to be such a stranger.

I Love You All! :wub::wub::wub:

Night!
