Jane.........how is your dad doing?

Spectacular. He's scheduled to leave the nursing home unit and return to assisted living on Tuesday. That's only 10 days after he left the hospital. I think he's walking better than he did when before he fell. I'm hoping they concentrate on arm strength during the next few days -- he has a hard time pushing out of a chair. (He'll continue to get rehab in assisted living and, unlike before, he's very motivated to actually do it.)

Going up tomorrow to finish xeroxing his taxes. His accountant is about half a mile from me so I can drop it all off during the week. Hoorah!!!!!

I always forget about checking out the co-ops and when I do they are over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found out about the Health Cabin one in the Deals & Steals thread. Last month was the first one but Zer0Kewl is going to do one each month. I think August's is next week. Because he orders $500+ at a time, there's a 20% discount and free shipping from China. Zer0 charges Priority Mail flat rate + $1.50 for labels, gas, etc. and PP fees.

But they are great on a nice evening when there is a breeze!
My brother had a great one and when we went to visited, we'd go sit out there and hang out.
I was smoking at the time so it was good for that since there the smoke cleared out really fast.
That was something I hated, sitting in a room that you could cut the air since it was so full of smoke.

Mine is screened in and I put up storm windows for the winter months.

I suppose that with a bit of work, I could turn it into a solarium, but it's fine the way it is. A screened in porch in the summer and an entry way in the winter.

Is there a limit on how much you have to order. I'd like to try a few before ordering a bunch.

Oh heck yeah, Jan. The last 5 years that I smoked, I didn't smoke in most of the house, just in a few isolated areas. In the summer, it was great to sit on the porch and light up.

In the last years, I did smoke in the house but only in the family room next to window with a fan blowing out and now I even feel guilty about that because I allow friends to do the same thing and I don't like the lingering odor.
I made my family live with that!!!

My birds have little, bitty bird lungs. I never smoked in the bedroom but several times I tried to move it to only the kitchen and bathroom. It never worked because Poeia would start yelling for me if I left the living room for that long (and work Annabella up so she'd yell too.) So I smoked 3 packs a day, mostly in front of them, and they hated it. Annabella was the most demonstrative about that -- if she was within reach, she'd bite me hard if I picked up a lighter.

Guilt.

Buddie hated to be near me when I went to the family room and with the fan in the window, it really wasn't too bad.
The other thing good about the family room is it didn't have a cold air return so the smoke didn't get into the rest of the house!!
