Get out there! One of the benefits of vaping not discussed is that you don't have to worry if a woman smokes or not! :)

I'll tell you from personal experience, women are pretty cool about vaping...more than I thought. A couple even wanted to try it.

Thanks for the encouragement, but I'm married so .....LOL (just kidding anyway, but not by much:laugh:)

In an attempt to be on topic, morning coffee and right b4 bed were my toughest times. But now, I very seldom miss them. I do miss saying, "hey man, got a square?"

This thread got me thinking. There were thousands of Marlboro Lites in my past. They changed the name to "Gold" because the name "Lite" might suggest they were somehow less harmful or less addictive. Something like that anyway. But I don't miss 'em a bit. I did an attempt to stop cigarettes a few years ago and going back to smoking pipes.

Middleton's Cherry Blend was a favorite for many years but rarely used by me because I never could keep a pipe lit, hugely inconvenient and especially so while driving. I MAY have bought two packs of that in my lifetime.

As far as vapes go, it seems I've settled out with a locally purchased vape called "Very Cherry" and NEVER made any connection until now. I do vape a couple of others but the cherry is most definitely my favorite and I suppose I know why now.

Fortunately, it's also a light (almost perfectly clear) vape and my coils appear to last a lot longer than those that I use with the darker vapes. (Root Beer and Chocolate Covered Cherry) I'm a chocolate lover too.

So, yet another discovery here on ECF and a well deserved THANK YOU to my fellow vapers for helping me to realize that, even though no one really could have known that. :)

Tobacco blends have been horribly wet these past ten years or so they package it toooo quickly now and cure is in your house for a year or longer, yes its been horrible for us pipe smokers. It made vaping changeover easy because I was already accustomed to flavors with my tob..

I don't miss smoking at all! Get yourself a decent delivery device like a genesis tank or a kayfun, or even a cartotank, and you'll see how poor cigarettes were at giving you a satisfying nic hit. Vaping has changed my life pure and simple. And once you're off the cigs, you can start to realise that nicotine without the chemical additives in cigarettes is not a big deal. I can go a whole day without vaping and not go bat doodoo crazy

Hope you get yourself off the killers :vapor:

I smoked newports for 15 years. When I quit I was smoking over a pack a day & rounding out around a carton a week (or a tad bit more). The morning coffee vape was the toughest for me too. I eventually ran out of cigarettes and just didn't want to buy any more so I vaped through it. It wasn't easy, man I was chain vaping like crazy & I did have to up my nic to 24 for the mornings but it worked & now I can't wait to have my bakery vape with my morning coffee. You'll get there my friend! Don't put too much pressure on yourself!

I started vapeing again after two years. I quit the real thing the first time untill vapeing just could'nt cover the stresses of the time and went back to "smoking". I recently decided to break out the old equipment and give it another go. I got some new tanks and juice and hav'nt had a "smoke" since. I forgot how fun it is to try new flovors and equipment. Vapeing is a lot more expensive since I used to roll my own for about 5 bucks a week! In the last week, I have dropped about 80 on vapeing. I know that will slow down soon once I find my niche again. I really miss the after dinner smoke and the smoke with the beer! It's getting easier though.

When I first read "what kind of smoke do you miss" what immediately came to mind is the kind that we are not allowed to talk about

A smoke with morning coffee, and after dinner for sure was the one that was hardest to give up at first. Now I enjoy a vape after a meal, and with morning coffee as much as I used to enjoy a ciggie.

It's odd, but for decades I could not think or function in the morning without 2 back to back smokes. But gradually, almost imperceptibly, over the past 5 months of vaping, I find that I am much more alert when I wake up than I ever was when I smoked. I'm awake for a good hour now before I need that first vape of the day. Maybe it will happen this way for you too!

I think having left over RYO is part of my problem. I estimate about a week of morning smokes remaining and then the true test will come.

Thanks everyone for their continued support.

I don't miss cigarettes, but I do miss my Zippos. It's why I got a Volt Zip. It even makes the exact same "sching" and click noise. I just can't do any actual tricks without the flint. :)

I just got a used Reo 14500 mini. Flicking the magnetic battery door on it all day - makes the same noise. :D

That's what I did. I had just bought my usual monthly supply of smokes when I started vaping. Talk about a dilemma. I couldn't exactly give them away in good conscience - "Here, have a buncha carcinogens..." - so I continued to smoke as I went along until they were gone. It worked for me because I enjoyed each and every one less and less. Came down to my last cigarette in the last pack, smoked it - didn't enjoy it at all - and that was the last cigarette I ever had.

As far as that morning smoke goes, you just have to get into a mind set that that isn't your only option. Above all - don't make it an easy option either. The PV belongs on the night stand, the smokes belong some place like the top shelf of an inconvenient closet. You start the day with your vape and make yourself work to get the cigarette if you still really want it.

If you aren't doing it already get the next higher nicotine level to deal with the craving fits of the day - like first thing in the morning. It will help. I used two different nic levels for about my first four months of vaping to deal with the craving fits. First thing in the morning, and for some odd reason those last couple hours before bed were my problem spots. The rest of the day I was fine at a lower nic level.
