Have a question what size holes do u guys use when u punch/drill your own holes for the cartos? Thanks.
I'm using the saddle valve from Lowe's, I turn mine until I hear it pop although some times I can't hear it pop but I will feel it sink through otherwise I turn it approx 4 complete twists. Just a word of caution, it doesn't take a large hole and you will know the first vape if you have gone too far. I initially practiced on 3 used cartos before I tried it on the good ones.

Hey guys

I saw a video BiancaMontgomery put up on youtube, showing a Chibi tank: Chibi Tank Syringe Fill - YouTube

She uses a Chibi XL with a standard size cartomizer, instead of the longer, XL sized 1.7 ohm that it comes with. That way, the top of the carto doesn't stick out of the tank and all you see is the tank and the drip tip, with the tank flush against the PV. It's just long enough to fit without leaks. That's precisely the size / style of tank I would like.

However, she's using it on a Provari. And I know the lavatube has issues with some tanks, with the carto threading being not quite long enough to connect.

Does anyone know if I would run into those kind of problems with that kind of setup (XL Chibi with standard size carto)?

Do I have to use an XL size carto to get it to fit on a lavatube?

Sub I just tried it with my M&P mini tank pushed way down to the tip of the threads on the boge and it still works on my LT. I would think as long as the threads of the carto were completely exposed you would be okay. However you could do what I did and order a couple of each just in case since they're so reasonably priced.

geez....I hate reading stuff like this...I haven't had an analogue since Jan but I'm starting to have problems...the only way I get the flavor and a good vape is by dripping. I have bought tank attys and tried different tank carts but they all taste like burnt rubber...I broke down and bought DC tank, but its still sitting in my drawer cuz I can't commit to one juice flavor. I bought DC 1.7 and 2.5ohm with holes...I also have 5 led vision clearomizers, the newer vision EGO clearomizer and the 4.5ml. Vision DC tank with no carts needed for any finally on the way from rubber city vapors... Oh and I got one more DC Tank 6ml...I am looking forward to trying all these but I'm such a juice flavor hag and crave a different one every ten minutes unless one really grabs me after its been sitting for awhile...I'm just saying, its a lot of money to keep trying different ways to get this nic to my bloodstream and I truly hope at least one of these will due. I will come back to tell the story.

I understand your sentiments exactly. I just got my first tank (Mini Sub) and at price-point, it's constructed very well, but if this is what tank vaping is like, I'm going back to attys. I've barely even touched my LT since putting the tank on it. In terms of vapor production, taste, and throat hit, I'd say attys are still where it's at.

But wouldn't never having to drip be nice.

Well, tried the smoktek DC 3.5ml tank with my thinnest juice and the one hole prepunch isn't enough to wick the carto even after using a tac to open it up a bit...but I did just get my 6ml. From rubbercity and those cartos have 3 holes, so maybe I'll have better luck.. I also just loaded up the EGO vision clearo and so far it tastes terrible but I read it may take a couple tanks. I bought all these for my LT, but none so far are able to handle 3.7v., so I'm still waiting for something that works....perhaps my pg only 75% is too thick but I'm afraid of losing flavor and vapage.

same here, just getting burnt out. Hate to spend the money and can"t find one anyway, but I have my sites set on a VV bottom feeder box mod. Think its the only way to get flavor with less hasle. Kinda wish i had never dripped now.

I got SIX Vision Stardusts

THREE of THOSE GOT HAIRLINE CRACKS
E-Liquid leaks out too fast to make them practical to use now.

NOW I find out that any Fruity or Cinnamon-y or Acidic E-Liquids will cause this!

THREE of the SIX I had to fix, the piece under the rubber cap in the top of the middle cylinder was up-side down.
Once I figured it out, they are great for other non-acidic E-liquids.

I found:
Storm Clear Tube Mod 510-2ML
$10.99
Ohm choices 2.4-2.6 //2.6-2.8 //3.0-3.2

Click on Link:
Storm Clear Tube Mod 510-2ML - $10.99 : Stormys Vapor Cellar, Electronic Cigarettes & More

I E-Mailed StormysVaporCellar to ask if they would crack.
NO! THEY WILL NOT CRACK!
(Stormy uses these, she likes a Pear-Cinnamon E-Liquid)

 What Great Customer-Care!
StormysVaporCellar responded to my E-Mail almost INSTANTLY!
Stormy answered all my questions and was very helpful and NICE!

The NOTTA Tank is another great option I will soon try!
Stormy says:
"This tank is "Notta" Porsche, it's "Notta" Cadillac and it's not even a Mustang!"
"It's a simple tank mod that's "Notta" lot of money!"
"This has been tested by many and proven to be leak proof!"

Baby Notta $9.99
Baby Notta-Low resistance or Regular- uses a regular size cartomizer.
Holds 3 ml of eliquid.
DC Notta- uses a mega dual coil cartomizer.

 I have Three of the Storm Clear Tube Mods
ORDERED and ON THE WAY!
I think they're perfect!
and
They're on sale right now!

BTW, you guys hunting for tanks... Vaping Zone has those pretty colored ones (silver/clear, lime, purple (more an orchid color, really), blue, and red, with stainless top and bottom caps... same ones that most people sell for $15 or so, which include the dct and driptip on sale for $9.99. I just ganked two, blue and orchid. I was gonna invest in a delrin from nhaler, since I like their colors quite a bit more, but for the price of one of those, I got 2 from vaping zone, plus an adapter.

Also, totally off topic... but I am LUSTING for one of those Phiniac blown glass decorated plexy tanks. So. Dang. Gorgeous. Tank itself is plexy, so more durable than the actual blown glass tanks in those wild cool shapes, but they design them (and do custom work) on them with blown glass... so for instance clear plexy with pretty daisies made of glass. Love them. They also have really intricate sandblasted ones, and a few other styles. Not cheap, but they're little works of art. ;)

Either of you guys tried using a Resurrector carto in the DCTanks? They're the same length, 1.7ohms, and so they're nice and low but not DC, so you can take em way higher on the LT, voltage wise. Boge xl 2.0 would probably have the same effect. I've tried the vision clearo things... got 2 with my tox. The draw is so incredibly tight! Plus, not as bad as the original clearomizers for killing flavor, but there's definitely a flavor reduction. My biggest issue with em is they're so inconsistent! Drives me nuts. In a day's vaping, i might get 2 totally wicked hits... rest of the time I've struggling, or messing with it, popping out center piece, playing with wicking...desperate to get better hit. I love the resurrectors in a DCT. Might not all be as amazing as those few and far between once in a blue moon hits on the visions... but they're ALL the same, all just fantastic.. and I've got resurrectors I've been topping off 3x a day (by themselves) and in tanks that I've been vaping all VG juice on for over 2 mos. And never had a dead one out of the box. Plus, if you don't get good results punching your own, you can buy 15 pack, pre punched, at Crystalclearvaping for $25! Hope that helps some of you. ;)

mg7454.... I was tempted, too! The only thing is I REAaaaaallly want a blown glass one, and I've got a micro vape budget. But then I started fantasizing about all the stuff avail in sandblasted (i do my own graphics so the options are HUGE)... cool fairy princess, something like one of my fave fine art pieces... really cool. But I'm gonna hold out for the blown glass, I think. Drat. lol

Oh, and by the by, the thing that makes some tanks crack, aside from spicy cinnamon vapes, is citric acid and malic acid, I believe. So you want to avoid anything that is citrus based, or anything that's a 'pucker' flavor with sour drops in em, as that's malic acid. So you should be able to ask any of your vendors if a particular flavor has citric or malic acid, and if not, be pretty safe. I found that out the hard way, lemme tell you. All over my lap. ;)

The blown glass Phiniac Tanks
ARE BEAUTIFUL!

But I like the Sand-Blast name tanks also.
(I got my name w/ butterflies.)
I like that they're PYREX, very durable.

:D

When you go to the site, you can sign up for news,
like specials and sales!
That is how I found out about the 15% off of the Name Tanks.

I found the syringe style mod tanks at
StormysVapeCellar.
The syringe-style won't crack.
They use the CE2s just like in the Stardust!

 I cracked 3 Stardusts, because I didn't know.

That was costly!
and
My expensive e-liquid got wasted as well!

Hi Orachel!
I did it!
I got 2 Phiniac Sand Blasted Tanks!
One regular size name tank with my name & butterflys
Sandblasted Tank - Phiniac Rugged Pyrex Glass Tanks
&
One XL tank with the Final Frontier
Sandblasted Tall Boy Tank - Phiniac Rugged Pyrex Glass Tanks

I LOVE them!
They are beautiful & do not leak!
No more constant filling of the cartomizers!
They were worth every penny!

I also got them on sale, I subscribed to Phiniac Tanks e-mail notices
&
They told me when they went on sale, so I saved myself some money!

I also found a carto-punch tool for about $9, it works great!
Saddle Valve- Cartomizer Punch - $8.99 : Stormys Vapor Cellar, Electronic Cigarettes & More
I punched 2 holes in the carto, one on each side.
I am using a 70/30 PG/Vg.

I would stay away from DCT with the Lava Tube. The Lava Tube will bump down the voltage on all DCC used. Even though you set your voltage to 5.0V or higher you are only getting 3.5V-3,7V when using a DCC. Madvapes does have a standard carto that will work with your tank, and you should still get good vapor production, and flavor.
