We want to know WHO lanceq is.
I mean where would be helpful, But if she don't know WHO.... ?

As long as I know where he is, I don't need to know who he is. I figure that the less I know of lanceq's modus operandi the better, it lessens the likelihood of my name appearing in the Cigarette Smoking Man's lanceq case file; I'm not as good under pressure of interrogation as I used to be........

Lanceq is on the site at the present and has'nt accepted my friend invite and I'm sure won't. Go to it's profile page and you'll see it's viewing other profiles, and as quick as you can refresh the page over and over again, It'll be viewing a new profile each refresh only a second or so apart. Lanceq is without doubt a bot, which is probably looking for emails and/or other personal information. I have'nt been members of too many forums, but I have seen this before and even when the bot was banned it did not stop it from keeping on keeping on. It really should be looked into and gotten rid of, it's not to cool having something like that sniffing around, who knows where the info is going to.
It hadn't been to my profile for almost two weeks but now it has been there today and what you say makes perfect sense. lanceq cannot be anything other than a bot. I'm not saying that to be mean. I'm not trying to dehumanize anyone and don't want any of our great mods to think that I am. But I believe that what bacc.vap has told us here is more than enough evidence to suggest that lanceq is indeed a bot.
So I work at a gas station and obviously we sell a ton of tobacco products. I got to talking to a customer while he was buying a pack of marbs. He was using a coupon for a discount and told me how he had went to a Philip Morris website to get more discount coupons and had to answer this insane verification form that already had tons of his info already on it. Asking him if he still lived at previous addresses and it had the addresses listed of where he had resided in the past. Asked him family questions and some other stuff I can't remember right now. But it was really unsettling to him that they already had lots of details about him even before he had ever entered the website. And of course I thought of our pal lanceq as he is telling me this story because I have been pretty sure for some time now that lanceq is a spy bot gathering info for some reason. I would like to know if it gathers info for BT or Big Government or what ever entity. But one thing is for sure, lanceq is gathering our info on some level and who knows what that info is being used for. No, I'm not being all conspiracy theory I'm being real person. It is what it is and that's the world we live in but I would like it if things like that were eliminated from the ecf.
Nobody find it odd there seems to be zero response from admin about this? It's their site, what's stopping them from asking the guy "are you a real person or not" and deleting their account if they don't respond? Surely it's against forum rules to use the forum in the manner this person obviously is?

I was reading your post when the forum went down. Thought after the maintenance there would be no more Lanceq, did'nt happen. Yeah, definately something fishy wIth that account.
I was also thinking maybe lancq would be gone when ecf came back online but no such luck. Maybe there is some thinking lanceq is an actual person and therefore trying to be curtious by not deleting it. Then again maybe it is something that cannot be removed once it has enbeded itself into the system. LOL makes me think of a tick with its head burrowed deep.
Yeah, knowing from another situation where the account was exhibiting similar behaviour, and then was deemed a bot by forum ptb, and that banning it did no good, it would seem likely that the programmer knows the forum software. What's scary then is, could it get further in than just where a normal account can access, like pm's and such.8-o Technology, is'nt it great!
Oh, and when I said about something being fishy with the account, I was'nt refering to you. I would have spelled it differently.
Like the rest of you, he's been on my page too....I keep hoping someone will figure out what/who he/she/it is....has anyone asked a mod?
I just went to his profile page again....by "Activity" are the letters AM - what do those mean?
Behind the date and time is "AM", just signifies last activity was in the morning at the time specified.

I apologize to anyone freaked out if I accidentally click on your profile instead of the thread. I swear I am not stalking you! I've considered asking a mod but decided there was no need to because I know they are well aware of this thread and its posts already. We've had mod posts on this thread and I think they probably have their own questions as to who or what lanceq is. If they do know who or what lanceq is and are not willing to let us know then I feel they have legitimate reasoning for that. But I really believe the mods know as much about lanceq as the rest of us do. And all we really know for sure is.... lanceq is here.
