Ive been DIYing for almost two months now. I have made some pretty decent flavors, only a couple i couldnt stomach lol. I do enjoy DIYing, but still find myself getting frustrated with trying to get it to taste like i imagine it in my head! So a couple of weeks ago with my limited time, (in between getting the kids to bed and getting ready for work the next morning) i mixed up a batch of unflavored just so i could have something to vape. So far this has been my ADV because its no hassle. I am loving the sweet exhale i get from the VG. I mixed at 3mg high VG no PG. The only thing i am kinda complaining about is i get a little bit of a watery taste to it. I used distilled water to thin the VG but i think something went wrong, maybe to much water. My Nic base is 48mg 100%vg i puff on 3mg in my subtank mini with the new rba section with a .76 twisted 28 build. at 29 watts it tastes pretty good. I am using the ejuicemeup calculator. I think i messed up when trying to use the distilled water section to completely take out PG so i ended up putting in to much water. so maybe i should just do a 90/10 vg high and sub water for pg instead? any suggestions? how is everyone else doing there unflavored? anyone doing it without PG? im low on supplies so trying to conserve the PG for my wife she loves my pineapple mix at 70vg/30pg and i have been buying humco VG for my own unflavored 3mg ADV. at least until i can get the gallon from wizard labs in a couple of weeks. I do still plan on trying to perfect some of my own flavored mixes but this unflavored is a no brainer for quick easy and tasty especially when tired of different flavors or if i get vapors tongue. All comments are welcomed!

Yes, I exclusivelly vape unflavored and love it! It shouldn't taste watery, unless you've gone way overboard... I myself use 3mg 80/20 vg/water in different rta's, mainly lemo 1 & 2, and STM. Using 20% water I find very nice for tanks, as the evaporation performance and wicking is great and I cannot taste any water, but it just "opens-up" the nic and vg taste. Also the rewicking frequency is lowered.

Btw, I don't have any allergies or bad-reactions towards pg in any way, but just simply dont like the taste of it and dosen't think it brings anything to the table... To me it tastes like syrupy alcohol, whereas vg tastes like natural mild honey...

Also, another unflavored vg vaper; Kurt, uses 20-25% water I remember reading. I believe he uses up to 25% for "bigger" tanks like the kayfun.

Secondly, a flavor-chaser; Jimi D, uses 20% water also when he mixes all-vg mixes...

On the other hand, there's also many using instead in the range of 5-15% and some feel higher amounts leads to excesive popping...

If using e.g. 80/20 vg/water then you'll get the equivalent viscosity as of a 79/21 pg/vg mix.

In the end you will just have to experiment to find the ratio that's good for you. Good luck! :)

Thanks, yea pg works ok for a flavor carrier but not so well in unflavored....I think my next batch will be 85/15 See how that goes
Thanks for the info

i vape max vg 8mg unflavored and love it. I use a dripper mainly, but have no problem running it in my subtank with no water. I have the Kanger subtank mini with the .5 ohm coils, haven't messed with the rda base yet. It also worked on the higher resistance coils. I can't remember if those were 1.2 or 1.5 ohm.

Unflavored is a great change of pace for me, and at 8mg it is a nice nicotine kick from my standard 6mg custard.

edit. essential depot is worth keeping an eye on for sales.

Think I will pick up an unflavored with high vg, for the times I don't want the flavors. Btw, I asked about unflavored at a local B&M shop last weekend and they looked at me like I was crazy.

Don't waste your money at B&M. Unflavored is the simplest thing to mix. The only reason there looking at you like your crazy is because they think your crazy for wanting to save some cash that could be in there pockets.
