I've only had my RSST for about 2 weeks so I keep trying out different setups. For the past few days I had a good mesh build with a 4/3 wrap. Wicked good, tasted good etc...

Last night I got bored and tried a dragon -

But it didn't vape well so I wrapped a micro and threw some cotton through it. I really don't know which I prefer but I'm leaning towards micros and cotton. I need another RSST so I can try different setups at the same time.

Fast forward 2 weeks. I got a 2nd RSST last night and was trying different builds back to back.

Original RSST has a 325 mesh with a 4/3 28g wrap. Pyrex RSST has a dual 1/16 micro with cotton. Both @ .7 ohm. The dual coil kills the mesh build hands down. Gives me more vapor, flavor etc... The mesh build has "sharper" TH but it isn't exactly desirable.

So far I like the readyxwick better than any silica wick I have ever tried, works in the Russian and in the gennys as well... Still playing around with coil set ups, having trouble finding info on a good way to wrap a coil on a non rigid/ non conductive wick.

Pinch a pin needle in with wick as a backbone.

You can slide a needle or a small syringe tip into the readyxwick for wrapping the coil. I also tried floss but now just roll a small piece of thin tape tightly on the end to feed XC through pre wrapped coils when there's plenty of access to pull the wick through (forget trying to push). Certainly removes oxidation and hot spot issues from the equation :)

I've been looking for alternatives for my AC9 and I think I found one with this build. Thx. Do you have a vid for this?

Two strands twisted 30g kanthal, .8 ish ohms, wrapped around SS mesh with a piece of silica inside the mesh roll.

Mounted in an RM2 on a REO Grand, works amazing, my favorite setup.

The touch...the feel...the consistency...the expansion..the flavor...the vapor...the fabric/vaping needs of our lives! Lol, had to give it a some-what jingle :p

I run a dual micro coil setup with cotton on an day to day basis and love it over silica. I use organic and never boil. I used SS mesh once and turned to silica as an easier alternitive when dealing with my AGI...the two-fer-one genny/dripping rebuild-able atty. I still need work on my ohms, different gauge wire, different style wicks...but at the end of the day I love my micros and that is what matters ;)

Hey guys. Quick question. Which SS Mesh wicks best with 100% VG? Is it 325 or 600? Can't remember. My brother needs some for his 100% VG juice.

My brother and I both use the AGA-T2. I have 4 of them for testing, and all of them are set up the same way (MiniCoil : 8 wraps on 3/32 drill bit - 2.0ohm @ 4 volts) Unlike my brother, I'm using #500 Mesh with HHV NET products mixed @ 50/50 ratio. I've done many tests with Mesh and Cotton, and find that Mesh lasts a lot longer. As far as taste and flavor goes, both produce great, but Mesh out performs Cottons by a mile. I can vape a full 3.2ml tank BONE DRY with Mesh, but cannot do that with Cotton. I get the same exact taste using Cotton, but get more of a TH with Mesh.

As for cleaning: Mesh definitely is the best for me. I spin the Mesh out, and dry burn the Coil. Before re-inserting the Mesh, I use paper towels and wipe off the end that has the ring (perspiration rings or carbon rings from the Coil heating up). Then, spin the Mesh back in the tank. Pulse fire a few times to make sure there's no hot spots, or hot legs. Refill the tank, and go on my way.

I'll also use the other end of the Mesh. Some people don't, but I do. Yes, I can see the ring left on the other end of the Mesh when I fill the tank up, but that doesn't bother me. After a week or two, I'll just re-torch the same Mesh to burn away the rings. Result is a nice, clean Mesh wick ready to last another 2-3 weeks.

BTW,... I never get a Metallic taste that others have spoken of. I think the Metallic taste folks talk about is because their Mesh is not properly Oxidized, and is not fitting properly inside the Coil - therefore, resulting in Hot Spots, or Hot Legs. When the MicroCoil fires from the Center of the Coil, you know you have it properly seated.

I use SS rope with a mesh sleeve in my Kraken. Took a few days to break in, but now the taste is amazing! Wicks great, vapor production is good for a .8 ohm build.
I have a Prometheus coming in the mail, I might try that with the ceramic I just got... Probably gonna pick up another Genny too lol i fell in love with them since getting my Kraken.
