Why can't I find an ecig that works?

I used to vape ecigs, njoy and V2, and they worked ***really well***

Like an idiot (me), i started smoking cigs at a wedding, and... well, ex smoked, and I was out of something for the ecigs and it was a while before I could get it together to get more.

And since then, nothing has worked. There is no throat hit. I do not feel like I have gotten any nicotine. I got new liquid, new carts, new batteries... then a whole new set all at once.

I figured maybe V2 had fallen apart (and thet were sold or closed some time after that).

Since then I tried some ecigs from gas stations, a pod system, 3 more new liquids,

And finally a whole new starter kit (epuffer) and damn if it isn't the same. It's like smoking paper.

Why did the early ecigs actually work and now nothing at all works? Is this some vast cosmic trick? Are the pods and mods out to get us?

I just don't know what to do! I just really want not to smoke cigarettes bit I can't figure out why nothing is working!

And advice would be unbelievably appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What kind of liquid are you using? Salt or freebase? If you want throat hit go for 12-18 mg. freebase. Also, you might want to go to a vape shop or an online vendor and get yourself a good starter kit. The Innokin Adept with the Zlide tank is a good one. There are other good kits out there too, but they usually aren't found at gas stations. Good Luck!

Vaping is better than smoking in every conceivable way. The transition to ecigs is non-trivial, so don’t go back; it’s a decision you will regret. Get yourself to a vape shop and tell them what you’re up against. Worst case buy a juul, etc. at the convenience store until you get things sorted. And, once you find something that scratches your itch, buy a second as a backup (so you don’t get in the same spot again). Every day you don’t light up is a day you’re not smoking — and they will add up quickly once you have things sorted. GL

Gas stations are good for getting gas, convenience stores for the occasional loaf of bread or quart of milk. They are not good for ecigs, broaden your horizons, and check out some brick and mortar vape shops or online stores, you may be surprised. You stated that you have a pod system, may I ask which one?

I do not want pods. I had a pod called Nova, it popped every time I drew on it (turned out to be a common feature).

I have been to a lot of vape shops in my search but they do not have ecigs, only pods and mods. I know a lot of kids use them. I just don't like them for me because they are too unlike cigarettes. Your hand has to hold them differently; your lips are positioned differently; it doesn't seem the same.

I am a few hundred dollars into this search, what with all these experiments. If my first experience had not been so good, i would have given up a long time ago, but I can't believe that something that once worked so well no longer exists, iyswim.

Of course they're unlike cigarettes. They're not cigarettes. That's the beauty of it, they're not cigarettes and should not be expected be like cigarettes. Vaping is a viable replacement for cigarettes no matter what the government and tobacco companies want us to think. A cig- alike is best used to see if one can actually get used to not smoking and make the switch

I think I see your problem. IMO, you simply are not going to get a satisfactory vape from anything that resembles a cigarette.
From my perspective, resembling a cigarette isn't even desirable. I don't want anything that looks or tastes like coffin nails.
Hope someone can prove me wrong, for your sake. Good luck.

From what I read the Novo is a decent pod. I don't have one but I do have a few Nords, for what I use them for they are great. I believe you want a cigalike and nothing else, I would check out the Halo G6 like Puffon suggested, good luck.

Although more expensive than simply buying ejuice and filling a Pod or Tank...(but much less expensive than analogs since each = 2 packs)...have you looked at Flings?

Your hand "holds them like a cigarette"...your lips "smoke them like a cigarette"...great Throat Hit...noticeable nicotine effects (start with their 5.4%)...very satisfactory (including the amount of "smoke") vaping experience...

You need some nicotine base liquid. Also some Vegetable Glycerine. Maybe Propylene Glycol too. Possibly flavourings as well. D.I.Y some e liquid from the above and try it in a device you'd like to use.

Or just get stronger e liquid !.
I've been getting the liquid as strong as I can--i started with 1.8 because I was smoking regular filtered cigarettes--but now it seems like at that strength you have to get nic salts, which made me cough even at the same level.

Now I am working on eliquid 1.2 that I am adding nicotine to from a small tube.

DIY eliquid... wow! On the one hand, that could be a good idea! On the other, can regular people who are not scientific do it?

Thanks for the intriguing idea!

I can see why you wouldn't like something that looks like a cigarette (I have to admit I loved the pearlescent colors of V2!) but why do you think they would not be satisfactory?

If you'll use juice that has regular nicotine as opposed to salt nicotine, you will increase your throat hit. If your juice has a higher percentage of PG you will increase throat hit as well.

I remember there used to be posters here who swore by the White Cloud Flings. I don't know how they are myself, but they might be worth a shot. I think you can buy them in the shape and size of cigarettes. I hope you find something you love to keep you off the cigs!

Creating your own liquid is nearly as simple as making a recipe for cookies. Get a simple scale that measures in grams (maybe $30 tops on amazon), a few 6oz bottles, some PG, some VG, flavorings you like and some Nicotine base. Stores such as Nicotine River can be a one stop shop for everything but the scale. I've been making my own for years, and I trust ME to be very precise in how I clean and mix my liquids. I'd also recommend you try say a 50/50 PG to VG mix for more throat hit at a 25mg/ml nicotine strength. Try that as a starting point and adjust according to your personal preferences. MORE PG = more throat hit but less cloud plume. Make small batches until you find your ZONE.

PRobably because most if not all of em are quite bad.
They wouldn't hold alot of liquid for one, and 2 you'd probably never get a full day of battery life, plus these days i doubt there's many of em out there.

Gaz station vapes are pure garbage though, no point even talking about these.
Imo i hate to say this but have you tried the Juul ? if you don't get a throat hit then the problem would be you for sure ( 50mg nic salt is quite harsh).

Pods are quite handy though, they hold reasonnable amount of juice and battery life is usually not bad.
THE only pod i've loved ever since i bought it is my aspire breeze nxt.
In my experience, coils were long lasting and taste made it worth the cost of said coils.
Of couse you'd need juice to go with it which i suggest nic salts, or high mg freebase.

A cigarette battery can't supply sufficient time on a charge for one. It kinda defies physics.
Then there's experience. Been there, done that sort of thing.
There are small mods available which can deliver a much more satisfactory experience. But, so long as a requirement is that your vape resembles a cigarette, you're likely to find continued disappointment.

Also, please don't expect anything gratifying at a gas station/convenience store. Those are good for people who want to try vaping, and then move on to something better. I'm just afraid too many people are turned off to the whole concept by their bad experiences with those things.

It is true I need a minimum of 2 for a day, but that doesn't bother me :) When I smoke, I need a lot more and a lighter to boot!

I could sort of maybe see switching to a pod in the future, but for right now, i feel more used to ecigs, if I can get them to work right
