Why can't I find an ecig that works?

I have a coworker that has used cigalikes for years and won't even consider anything else, the big thing is its working for her to stay away from cigarettes - it's good that we have the choices out there (for now anyway).

Soon2BX - If you want to stick with cigalikes, Halo still sells the G6 cigalikes and they also now offer cartomizers that have salt nic in them. You might want to go with the high nic, salt nic cartomizers to help the cigarette urges. Just go the devices section on the Halo website and you'll see the selection.

"Acceptable" is vey subjective. You need high nic, high PG liquid, I suspect. I would (if you are not quite ready to take the DIY plunge) probably get some premade high as you can fairly high PG liquid premade, and boost it with PG BASE (this is important) freebase to get you where you need to go.

They also make throat hit additives (I don't do throat hit so I have not tried one) and things like menthol and cinnamon can be used to boost throat hit as well.

If you want a cigalike, you've gotten suggestions. I would NOT buy a cigalike that has nic salts in them, most nic salts are designed to be SMOOTH not give a throat hit.

Once you find your feet a bit, you can look at full DIY but I think first you need a setup and juices you can live with.

Funnily enough, I quit with an NJOY cold turkey for 6 weeks when ecigs were new It was harder this time around. But I guess that NJOY was doing something for me because I was not smoking. IDK. Then I took a stressful job and went back to smoking.

Things were VERY different upon my return but I was able to make it work with the support of the ECF community. They are the best! I hope you do, as well!

Welcome and best of luck.

You actually might consider getting a pod that uses pre-filled pods (for now, then eventually get something that can be refilled)
Because of the recent ban, all pre-filled flavored pods are an sale now (50-80 $ off) Maybe someone can recommend a good one to try.
Yeah prefilled are gonna be out soon unless ya like the tobacco or menthol flavors.

Vladdin RE is cig-a-like in some ways like the drag you get, but not enough in ways. A case where the daily habits of cigarettes can be adapted to that device instead. It's got a familiar "feel" to it without ever thinking you'd want to light the darn thing.

Choice of pre-filled pods and refillable available. If you like the performance of the pre-filled but want to have more choices of e-juice later it's a nice system.

Closest thing to those cig-a-like devices of 09/010 era without the torture. Those things did work though. Holy cow!! One drag from one of those and I was in a nicotine stuper for an hour. Not so with modern juices, but the subtle effect is better at taking away the urge to smoke without the thought of getting nicked for public intoxication.

Most of what is on there is really only useful if you already like a particular pod or AIO and want a backup. Except for the Silverplay which I had to stop me from buying but I have enough. Seriously.

Vapor DNA is a solid company though and there is always something drooltworthy there like the Lost Vape paranormal which is a) sold out and b) given my experiences with the mirage, I will never buy a lost vape product again.

Personally I think the OP is pulling everyone 's chain here. I could be wrong but I'm suspicious somewhat. Jus sayin
No, i just woke up yesterday totally not feeling well and with a lot to do.

My budget has been blown because my son got a drivers license and my insurance has tripled, so I don't have room in my budget for anything approaching what I have been spending on cigarettes, not to mention that smoking and my job do not go well together.

Just an old smoker trying to make necessary changes while dealing with life and not wanting to go Completely Crazy like I did when I quit in the past.

So much information: thank you everyone! I need to sift through it all, but I think the suggestions that the eliquid is the problem and I need to sort out the proportions may be right, and the information about eliquids very helpful.

And the information about different pods and ecigs will definitely come in handy.

More later as I finish To Do items....

Thanks again!
