My grandchildren said "I know you say you can't quit, but would you try?" How could I refuse that request? Today I am having a tough time, but I won't cave ...

Yes, Hokie, be strong,
your health will be better,
and your grandchildren will be so proud of you ----

you will be proud of yourself too,
and rightly so ----------

Try to go do something like gardening, helped me big time!
Someone told me a diet coke helps also, just chug it down fast.
I did this and i don't like diet coke, yuk, but it works lol.

I started with a higher mg juice, and then slowly brought it down over a period of 6 weeks,
but I did quit analogs after only 1 week, after smoking for soooo many
years, I feel so much better.
I am so much better now, ----
thank god for e-cigs ---------

Me and Crash started vaping because we wanted a new and intriguing way to pick up girls at bars and clubs ... So far he is beating me by .... 100. Damn you crash! Not only did he steal the girl I was hitting on, but he got on her cell phone and picked up her mom too. Dude got skillzzzzzzzzzz 8-o

The best way to pick some more girls!! Crash , shame on you, I thought you were a good guy:D:D:D

I'd say I did it for mainly health for reasons - but anyway you do it- if you succeed in cutting out analogs you are making a fairly substantial investment into e-cigs over startup costs. You realise this investment within a couple of months (if you smoked 20+ a day) provided you make the initial first investment choice over buying something which is durable and doesn't have expensive running costs (i.e. by avoiding devices with bespoke batteries ).

I think I'm there now, but I suppose I will get tempted by AFS and Sakis' atties and so you see how further investment can trickle along before you start seeing financial gains.

I've now bought 3 high end PVs within 15 weeks
I-inhale (I-olite)
GG Grant
GG Trans

I know people generally recommend trying a cheaper e-cig to get started. I'm not entirely convinced this is the right way. I know of several people who bought low end e-cigs and weren't impressed and went back to analogs pretty quick.

There's always resale of a high end PV if it really isn't for you. People must see that demand is outstripping supply with the GG so you would get your investment back.

Sakis have you thought of getting your kids building these things to up supply (tell them they have to earn their pocket money)? <w>

I've more than broken even.. but I was smoking between 20-30 a day.

My kids are girls, so no hope to convince them xa xa

I'd been a heavy smoker for 50+ years, 2 to 4 packs a day depending on circumstances. Recently I was diagnosed with COPD and knew I should quit but I've done that so many times before that I'm an expert on quiting. However, I always go back to smoking.

MSN had an article on e-cigarettes so I thought I would add that to my arsenal of experience. What do you know.....it actually works. I am still smoking 1/2 to 2 analogs a day but suspect that will stop after I get the GG and begin vaping at 6 volts.

I joined every e-cig forum I could find and eventually found this place with people that were so helpful, kind and had a family atmosphere. It caught my attention and here I am. That's my story. :D

I always enjoyed smoking, but hated the smell and what it was doing to my health and my voice (I sing), not to mention the money side of things. So as soon as I discovered vaping and that it worked for me, I switched. Been analogue-free for 6 weeks or so now. I don't ever intend to go back.

I recommend it to all smokers, the revolution starts here.....

somewhere out there......
My main reason to quit my smoking habit was because my fiance has asthma. Even the smell of cigarettes on my close would set her off running for an inhaler. I tried so hard to quit with other NRT's and cold turkey...nothing would work past 4 months and then I was back on smoking....and during those months of quitting I always wanted a cigarette...just craving them....with vaping No problems after the first week....My fiance thanks me everyday for quitting and I feel better knowing her health is better because of it.

Nice Grimmer, you killed two birds with one stone. It's funny how ecigarettes work for some and not others. I'm glad it worked for you.

Bristow, Ok.
I smoked so many years and thought I would never be able to quit. I tried everything. 6 volt vaping worked for me and was so easy. Cigarettes are so expensive and cause cancer. My husbands best friend since they were 5 years old just found out he has cancer and probably wont make it till Christmas. The tobacco companies put additives in cigarettes to make us crave them more years ago. This was just criminal. No one wanted that. I will do everything I can to keep as many people as possible off the cigarettes.
