The reason I started vaping:
I work graveyards by myself in a datacenter and was not to leave the building unless it was to take out trash.
The reason I keep vaping:
I am a type one diabetic and if my blood sugar was high smoking would just make me feel like s**t! But I loved smoking. Started vaping and wow. I am feeling great. Blood sugar levels have gotten better since I started vaping and I still get the joy and nicotine I would get from smoking.

I started because of several reasons, and luckily vaping was my ticket... I started smoking when i was young, because it was cool back in 87... (Tobacco was a paycheck for my family...Grandfather retired an accountant for RJ.Reynolds... My other grandfather was a full time tobacco farmer) When I went to college and joined the service I was smoking about half a pack to 1 pack a day of Marlboro Menthol Lights... I enjoyed smoking..and still do...

My wife comes from a family who cant stand it...they had several family members who died of cancer related issues and I would get the nagging occasionally...but it never affected me...

We have two kids now who i love dearly and I was the protective father who wouldnt let them be around me when i smoked...Ive always respected people and I would step outside, rain, sleet, snow and would smoke, never indoors...
My wife would complain about my smell on my clothes, my beard, my truck...but i didnt give a care...
Well smokes started becoming $5-5.60 a pack and I was constantly buying 2 packs at a time to make sure i was well stocked...
Last year, my aunt who I was very close with...she was diagnosed with cancer...Never smoked a cigg in her life... I watched her reduce to nothing... and then found out that her husband was taking treatment for prostate cancer... He smokes..still does to this day... This started to affect me...
I was noticing how tired i was becoming, I would notice that my fingers on my smoking hand was becoming yellow and crap... My son who is turning 2 was crying because I had to put him down to step out and smoke... (he loves his daddy)
I quit cold turkey and I was good for about a week... and stress at work wasnt making it easier... Ive tried the patches/pills back in the past and they didnt do any good...(Chantix made me have crazy ... dreams/nightmares :D ) The stories Ive heard about ecigs...I thought it was joke...another get rich scheme... Heard the story where some guy blew his teeth out by smking one...

Well then one day me and the wife were in the tobacco store ready to buy me a carton of smokes and i saw an Cig2o disposable... bought one and I was impressed... I liked the sweetness but i knew that there had to be better... An old friend of mine who i havent seen in a long time ...found out that he has been vaping for several years and he gave me advice... I ordered a KR808 and I loved it....till i found out that the carts can go bad... While waiting on juice and carts to arrive...I bummed a smoke and I took 2 drags and threw it out...couldnt stand it... KR808 was good but its only good for the social smoker ( My thoughts on it) I went the next step and bought a clearomizer and a ego batt... and i have never looked back since...

Sorry for the long post... I had to get it off my chest... :D

I started when I was 14, am now looking at 40 and thinking this is stupid. I was sick of smoking but liked it too (does that make sense?) and the smell, the cost, the standing out in the rain (here in Glasgow it's ALWAYS raining!). I had tried all the usual routes - gum, patches, cold turkey, aversion therapy, but none of them worked. Tried ecigs and that was me! (apart from one episode after I lost my job, but I was so stressed). Loving my ecigs as I can puff away to my heart's content knowing it's not as harmful as the analogues. :vapor:

When I was a kid I started smoking because it looked cool. I now vape because I don't think anything looks more bad ... than my big bad black Provari. LOL
Seriously health reasons have to be number one; my wife said she woud kill me if I didn't quit. Really that is what she said when I burnt the headliner of her new car after I tried to toss a lit .... out of the window on a bumpy road.
Now I don't have to leave the house every time I want a hit of nic. I just vape away proud and free.
With all the money I now am saving by not burning analogs am am also free to get a lot of cool new toys

I started because I quit smoking and didnt care for it. I was mean for 6 months, tried smoking again, but they tasted horrible. I also hated the idea of my cat being around any 2nd hand smoke, even though I tried putting my head out the window. I moved to vaping and I love it, and my cat has no ill effects (nor do I). Its a win win.

I started vaping for curiosity's sake. I had given up quitting smoking, and I never dreamed that I would put cigarettes down voluntarily! My closest family are nonsmokers, and have ragged me for years about quitting, so now they have their wish! (although I must say they are skeptical about my new vaping behavior- what can I say????)
