I wanted to quit smoking and vaping really did help me kick the habit.
Now it's been two months of vaping and moved from ~14-18mg juices down to the ~8-12mg range. Don't see myself quitting this though. Amazing community and really why should you quit vaping lol. Don't really NEED to vape. When I was still smoking first thing in the morning there was a tobacco in my mouth. Now I'm not in a hurry to get my vamo going first thing in the morning. So no nicotine addiction here. Just the habit and it tastes good so why not lol.

I have wanted to and tried quitting cold turkey quite a few times. Always struggled after the 2nd day and picked up a new pack. Then my grandmother got lung cancer and I kept trying to quit, and continued to fail. I finally found out about ego batteries and clearomizers. LIFE CHANGING! Haven't looked back and am very happy to be smoke free.

I quit smoking analogs 6 1/2 years ago. After those agonizing years without nicotine, I figured out that nicotine played a role in my attitude and life in a positive way. I figured that I'd either be addicted to nicotine which is relatively cheap, or anti depressants which are $125+/mo. I chose nicotine. I also missed the ritual of smoking more than I care to admit.

I was an insane smoker, 3 packs a day and more on weekends, especially if alcohol was involved. I'd been a "serial quitter" for many years, and even made it almost tow years one time. My problem wasn't quitting; it was staying that way.

I'd been curious about e-cigs but didn't try them until a friend turned me on to them. (I wasn't going to let go of that much money on something I may not like. I could buy a lot of cigarettes with that money. ;) ) As it turns out, she just may have saved my life.

Even with the lame kit I started out with, I liked vaping as much as smoking, even a bit more at times, and eventually phased out stinkies altogether. Today makes two weeks of being 100% smoke-free.

I didn't quit anything. I upgraded. :headbang:

I quit after more than 15 years of smoking a pack a day (never missing a day, not even on sick days) when I made the switch to the Ego on Jan.19th 2013 at 4:32PM. Since then I haven't touched the analogs - although - I spent more than 300€ in one month for supplies, different mods, clearos, cartos, batteries and liquids. I'm thinking now it has to slow down a bit since I've gotten the Vamo and the AGA-T.

Friend of mine and I were talking one night and he was saying he wanted to try and kick smoking. I personally had no desire to give up my precious newports but I told him I'd look around to see what the best starter vaping tool was. After going over these forums I heard a lot of good recommendations for the Volt by smokelessimage. So we both ordered a starter kit.

Since then I have preached the gospel that is vaping to every smoker friend I have and managed to make believers out of most of them. I was a 2-3 pack a day smoker that only smoked newport 100s. Since I started vaping I am down to 1 pack every few days. I'm not sure if I'll ever quit smoking but I love vaping!

I was the same way, Lex. I actually ENJOYED smoking. Lunacy! I started vaping as a partial Valentine's Day Gift to my girlfriend at the time. She DESPERATELY wanted me to quit. I tried everything and they all failed. She actually was the one that suggested an E-Cigarette as I was the skeptical one. Boy, do things change! After our V-Day dinner I, yanked out my very first e-cig (The Njoy) and pretended to light up. As soon as she noticed the LED, she jumped for joy. Needless to say, I scored a lot of brownie points.

My first post..... I was a 50 year smoker, tried the lot :- Patches, nico cigs, hypnosis and pills. nothing worked until a friend used an e cig, thought i might give it a go and bought some papershop e cigs but quickly realised they were not enough so went the ego way. That was Feb 1st no analogues since then. I have no interest in normals but must admit i have swopped one addiction for another (but a far healthier one hopefully), i now have a VAMO, Trap Tank and iClear 30 with an Ego backup. Have managed to get my Daughter and partner to use aswell.

Laquox is that a Ragdoll cat in your avatar?? as i have one aswell.
