Move your coil closer to the airhole, like just barely not touching it, this will increase vapor production and decrease throat hit.

Check your coil. Sounds like it is not centered over the Air hole. should also be about 1mm off the deck.
[moderated] You also Need to use a mech with these devices. Apv just doesn't heat the coil fast enough and it's a terrible experience. A whole new world when you slap it on a mech. But anyway, let me know if you want to get rid of it.

ah c'mon, don;t be mad, he even went back and edited the post to put a "lol". it's rather early and we all need fresh coffee, look even the friendly moderator came to visitwhat a drag!
i'm curious to know what mech you use. i recently got a nemesis and one issue i have is when to know my battery is going weak. on the other hand i don;t want to hijack the thread.
happy monday people!
I use theSmok magneto. I can't talk about it because the forum cop is going to come after me.
Yeah, taking about the m4gn3t0s is actually not allowed on the forums* I blame the Provari owners, they spoiled it for the rest of us.
Relax, you're not the only one to have a post moderated. Coffee refresh is on me.
*This is not actually true.
So Glad your a big shot. Not even going to explain myself or what I was trying to say in my post, I am just going to say .... you and call it a day.

His approach was perhaps harsh but your statement that KFL don't work good Ina regulated PV is inaccurate and potentially misleading to noobs. Unless you wasn't to sub ohm it doesn't matter what device. And OP obviously not ready for sub ohm
Also, to eliminate the obvious, does it have airflow control? Fiddled with that..?
Granted there is a huge difference between quality in APV's, and the circuits they use, but that has nothing to do with what "works well on a APV", and more to do with how crappy your APV is or isn't.
a few tips.As for Kayfun, I'll give the methods a try. I will lower my coil down, and I will drain some of the fluid. I think I filled it all the way up and its still there. I'll lower it to 3.5ml so there is some air in there. Only thing that sucks about the Kayfun, is if you need to work on it once you have fluid in it. If you do, its all going to come out that little hole at the bottom. Or at least try to.

I recently got the Kayfun lite clone by "together best cooperation". Whatever that is. Anyway, this thing hits hard. Damn hard. So hard in fact, that I'm going to sell it if I can't get it to stop doing it. I vape at 0mg nicotine, so I just can't take how hard this thing hits the back of the throat. And on top of that, it hits this hard when you hardly get any vapor! What is the deal? I'm using a 1.6 ohm coil, cotton wick, a Vamo V3 with Panasonic 3400 mah batteries, and a 70pg/30VG blend with 0mg nicotine. I'm vaping all this at 8 watts. And its unbearable. I had to switch back to my protank.
What can I do? Should I have built a 3 ohm coil? Could that be what's causing this? Again I'm going to have to sell this thing if I can't figure out how to make it hit normally.
