Most addicts wouldn't bother putting something in the staff control ejuice. If they had something they would ingest, insert, snort, or shoot up.
I'm saying add it straight to the tank. I was watching intervention and was suprised at the things that you can vape. They can turn many of the things people ingest, insert, snort, and shoot up into a vapeable liquid.

The only illicit substance I can think of that would actually work is to do a custom juice mix that substituted standard bases with high proof alcohol, and even that isn’t very much alcohol to an alcoholic. Plus the delivery method means the high assuming one could even be achieved would be over in like 15 minutes or something

I don't know about alcohol but people were using hard drugs in vapable form. Don't know how well they Work but inhalation is a pretty effective delivery system
Yeah I was typing as you were. My post was made before I saw yours.

I don't know but I got called in for jury duty and I'm stealth vaping in the bathroom. Bwahaha.

By the way the looks I got when I handed over my Joytech Elitar e-pipe at the metal detector stand where pretty funny. I'm using a nice mixed tobacco flavored juice that comes out to a light brown color.

Yeah I e got an elitar too. It looks a whole lot better with a two or 3 inch long drip tip on it. Stock it’s pretty...disturbing...

That would definitely help. I’d share a pic of mine but it’s in a different apartment atm

I posted a pic on here somewhere. I have a Batman and a Punisher logo for it. I've been using the Batman logo. I just bought the mod itself and was uninterested in the tank that normally comes with it.

IMHO: Because galaxo smith Kline makes products like the patch it would rather have you use instead, and it has pharmacy reps inundating hospitals with anti vaping propaganda

Definitely. I was in hospital for one night 6 months or so back and one of the first things they ask is since you vape do you want a nicotine patch?

My guess is that the drug rehab is worried that drugs would be used in the vaporizer instead of e-juice. Because the vapor doesn't leave a noticeable smell behind it would make it easier to use illicit substances in their vaporizer without detection.

BINGO

Lol... for a mere 60$ no doubt. The big thing vaping did to nicotine patches was showed them to be BS. There was no “special time release micropore” or any technological crud. Nicotine soaks through the skin by itself and the speed is determined by the concentration. You can make a perfectly functional nicotine patch by putting vape juice on a bandaid for a dime, or simply using some as a hand cream.

Good plan. The tank was crud. I put a pulse on mine. I leave the long drip tip on it and fill through an air hole with a unicorn bottle

I think that any dedicated drug/ETOH user who is in rehab could find a way to smuggle in illicit drugs somehow. The big challenge is not getting noticed by other patients or staff once high. I think disallowing vaping for the reasons of adding something to the vape is a bit farfetched, there are far easier methods and delivery systems that are stealthier.

With that said, the glass/weapon thing makes a lot more sense to me. Rehab facilities could easily remedy this by requiring pyrex tanks and plastic batteries that are light. Heck, they could even require a patient to purchase the "recommended" setup or buy one from the facility.

I will also note that most rehabs have detox units where the rules are FAR more strict, and they are often on lockdown. This is to prevent any unsafe behaviors during the detox process. With that said, if you want to get homicidal or suicidal at any rehab you most certainly can do that without access to a vape. I think Sierra Tucson had 4 or 5 deaths over the past few years, that were briefly reported on. The last one was a dude who hung himself with a belt. That did not cause ST to outlaw belts. With that said, ST *does* have a "mental health" only unit, and in my opinion they do an absolutely abysmal job of it (Eating disorders also). I don't think outlawing vapes is going to cut down on acting out behaviors by very much, I can think of far more useful weapons that are readily available in rehabs.

I think it is too hard to stop addicts from sneaking illicit substances even if the staff controls the ejuice. It wouldn't take much to add a little something into the tank after the staff filled it. There wouldn't be much risk of detection because the smell, assuming there is one, would dissipate quickly making it unlikely staff would know. Unfortunately these same issues are the most valid the anti-vaping crowd could argue against it in the real world as well. So this discussion doesn't leave this forum, I don't want to give are enemies any ammo to use against us. DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR!!!!! ;):vapor::facepalm:
This forum like any other, is a fish bowl, enemies , friends, and curious onlookers all can see what's in the tank.
