Why is a Provari P3 even a viable choice.

Also, Mike Buzzetti, owner of Notcigs, owns the patent on VV. I don't know if he's tried to enforce his patent. That can get pretty expensive.

Not true, Mike applied for a patent after the fact, and as far as I know it was never granted. His was just a buck regulator anyway, Provari's is a boost regulator.

I have to do this, just can't resist..... You owned your own "vape shop" yet someone looked up what your wattage would be for you? Fyi 5 volts can easily be 40 watts, depending on your coil resistance.

Edit: On a device that adjusts in .1 watt intervals, voltage in fact does not provide finer tuning

Yeah thats right someone looked up my wattage for me in a post on another thread.I never had occasion to know since Ive been using a Provari for the last 3 years. I vape to taste...... not by numbers.

And this may come as a shock to the cloud chasers...but watts arent needed by a lot of us.

I use 3ohm cartos set at 5.2 volts for all of my juices because there where it tastes best to me.Theres no need for me to ever use watts because I already know what my optimum setup is. Theres absolutely no reason for me to switch juice delivery devices either because Im way past the trial and error stage at this point.

Wattage is attractive to those just starting out but many of us who have been doing this for a long time prefer something like a Provari, or a Reo or even a mechanical mod........... and we get along just fine.

Back when I owned Zap Electronic Cigarettes and was a verified supplier here we were selling kr808s, Yetis and 901's .......but that was likely WAY before your time.

I guess you haven't seen PBusardo's video with Evolv....... ;)

Oh yeah ive seen it and I know it is in development my inner cynic though can't see how they are going to make it work a lot of links to work out totally wicked tried this about two years ago from what ive been told I know that's like comparing a master architect to someone who builds with Lego but I still think this is a long way away

Evolv's patent covers all vw usage in a pv....

That patent goes back to the beginning of time? The P3 board could have been developed or in development before the Evolv patent?

Everyone says it's under powered for their use, it's obsolete already, it doesn't meet my needs. All wonderful points as we all know what we like. What you can't dispute is the Provari meets the needs of 90% of all vapors. You can't come close to dispute it's high quality, safety, and track record. Did you know Provari only has 3 technicians in their service dept? My battery right now reads 3.4 volts and I've been vaping at 4.5 volts since I put the battery in yesterday. No changes made just the same vape from start to finish. I can't say that about my other VV/VW mods as I was constantly changing the setting as the battery lost power.

I want to thank all the Provari owners who have helped me in my decision to buy a Provari, and a special thanks to Baditude who was a great help in his blogs and his posts about buying the best batteries and charger and who sells them.

3v to 6v to the output from a battery outputting anything from 3.2v to 4.2v suggests a buck/boost regulator to me.

    The Buzz uses stacked batteries.

So Mike just got his patent, I stand corrected.

Interesting read over at nu-vapor, Mike even states his intention to sell the patent to BT.

You're really grasping for straws here. Evolv clearly had the first VW product on the market, the Darwin, which IIRC, was introduced in 2010. They also filed their patent application back then. And what matters with patents is when you disclose or start selling and when you file an application, not how long you've had something "in development".

If you are a vaper who likes to keep set at the exact same setting all the time, then wattage is actually ideal for you. As you may know, your coil resistance can often come out of the package a few points off of the labeled resistance, and the resistance changes on the coils over time and usage.... Wattage mode will give you the exact same out put regardless of these factors while voltage will not

This is just one of the features I'm looking forward to on the new P3. As a low wattage vaper, my Provarii are definitely a viable choice for me.

    Just Curious:

Did the OP ever come back to his 250+ Post Thread and give us Anymore Insights?

It does beg the conspiracy questions if they was not just trolling for laughs as they would have known the reaction

    What could they gain ?

Who do they work for ? [a reliable pocket pv manufacturer]

What business do they run ? [a b&m/webstore selling a reliable pocket pv]

No publicity is bad publicity for the most reliable item in its field, this may be part of a marketing campaign

Oops did I just say all that out loud
