Uhmmm well they do have operating costs. Why is a hamburger so expensive? Not trying to be a jerk, and there are many very cheap juices, the two companies I've tried, I don't like. But even at $20.00 for 30 ml that is way cheaper than smoking was.

While I agree to an extent, it does depend on how much you vape. For someone just starting up with a CE4 style atomizer, 2mL's a day makes that cheap. But for those who subohm and those who vape at high wattages, it wouldn't be out of the ordinary to vape up to 12mL's a day (maybe some even more), which makes that just as expensive, if not more than cigarettes (where I am at least).

Personally, I agree with the OP for the most part. I will never pay anything above $20 (the reason I say $20 is Nicoticket is $18.99 for 30mL which is more than should be paying on my college budget, but their juice is just so freaking amazing and the people over there are awesome) for 30mL ever again. And that's my choice, that may just be me though. This is why I started DIY'ing. Now 30mL's costs about $1.37, which is great.

OP, if you don't DIY, I would recommend checking out ITC Vapes. Some of the best prices you will find ($4.99 for 15mL, $7.99 for 30mL, $19.99 for 120mL, and $35.99 for 240mL), and it is actually great juice! I love their Spoon Licker OG and Custard #3. Also, Casey Jones Mainline Reserve is $11.99 for a 30mL and $27.99 for a 120mL and it's some of the best e juice I have ever had. A little more expensive than ITC, but still much more affordable.

Chipotle.
Quite simply it is because the risk is being taken by the company producing the juice, they must purchase in bulk the required ingredients for their juice as well as bottles, labeling supplies, measuring supplies AND they must have a suitable area available to them for mixing the juice, another place to steep the juice if it is pre-steeped. All of this costs money, and this is all money that is spent before the company sees a single dime of profit. There are also people mixing, labeling, sorting and packaging juice and all of them must be paid a reasonable wage for their services. Flat out, they are required to put out thousands of dollars before they ever see a dime come in.

Sure, it's possible to make a small batch of juice yourself as a DIY with lower costs than nearly any off-the-shelf juice, but you need to understand that when you're making that juice for yourself there is no need to pay yourself any sort of wage, you're not making an initial investment of multiple thousands of dollars either, you also don't have to pay rent on a business or pay any employees.

Also, it seems the general population has become accustomed to paying $20 for 30ml of juice and it is quickly becoming the "standard" to charge that much. Quite simply if you don't want to pay it you're not required to as there are a multitude of juice vendors and thus a multitude of different pricing plans. Depending on where you purchase it from you can get a "high quality" 30ml bottle of juice for anywhere between $11.99 and $22.99+ and to a great deal of people it is worth not having to do any sort of labor or mixing yourself to enjoy the bottle of juice in your hands.

The choice is entirely yours, there are thousands of juice vendors around now, if you're not really comfortable paying a certain price for something you like and want well then that is entirely up to you.

Very well put Froth! That's what I was trying to say, but too tired to type all that. You did great! lol I have heard very good things about ITC, but haven't tried it. Some folks love MBV and Vapewild, but they weren't for me.

Cullin, yes if a person is vaping 12mls a day then that gets pricey, but that is also their choice. No one had cloud competitions when they smoked. Some folks love sub ohm, and that's great if they like it and are doing it safely. I build my dual coils around net 1.0 ohm at present. Will likely try a tensioned 0.5 dual build at some point. But that's not needed to get as good as what they were getting by lighting a cig. So for folks who are doing that, it's a choice. Even at 1.0 ohm dual build I get much better than smoking was, and don't go through a ton of juice, not really sure, but probably around 4-5mls a day. I have yet to spend 20.00 bucks on a 30ml bottle of juice.

What gets me is the juice that's marketed towards cloud chasers tends to be some of the most expensive. Actually, now that I think about it, it's a genius business strategy lol. I'm with you, I have a 1.0Ω dual coil setup on an iStick 50W, but still end up going through 6-10mL's a day. Living off of student loans doesn't allow for $20+/30mL though. :/

Yeah, I guess ultimately not everyone quits smoking to save money. A lot, like me, did it to get healthier but saving money is a plus.

I would say that is probably at least 90% of us if not more. Saving money is a lovely little side benefit if we are. If folks choose to build low, use more juice, and not save money, they're still getting healthier. So, still a win

Chipotle.
I saw a site yesterday where 30 ml was $15.. thought that was rather cheap. I will pay the few dollars more and stick with my Nicoticket.:)
$15 is more than I pay in store after tax! One of my favorite companies to purchase from is Charlie Noble, I'm lucky enough to live ~5mins from a B&M that always has it in stock. Glass dropper bottles 15ml $6.99 30ml $12.99 Charlie Noble E-Liquid Trading Company they also sell plastic bottle 120ml for $44.99 and IMO more companies need to get on board with their pricing plan, they're still making money and almost everyone that tries this juice loves it, Commodore Peary has been my ADV for 3 months now!

I hear a lot about nicoticket are there juices as good as they say?

what flavor profiles do you like? I'm sure keepsmiling or another big nicoticket person will come back and chime in, but since I'm here, and I'm not someone who will only vape nicoticket, I can tell you that I've tried a few that were given to me, and it's definitely quality juice. My personal fav of the ones I've tried is Betelgeuse, but I like fruity type flavors. I've tried the GCD (grandma's cinnamon danish) It was sooooo good, but after awhile the cinnamon got to me as it usually does with bakery type flavors. I also tried the virus, and while it was very good, not an ADV for me. I have some custer's last stand, but haven't tried it yet. The one thing I'm not a huge fan of is that many of them turn quite dark with steeping. betelgeuse doesn't. But it is definitely a quality juice, and they're a great company to deal with. Very active here on ECF. Maybe stop in their forum and get to know em. Nicoticket

I'm way more into fruity and stuff I don't like sweet flavors at all like a good berries and cream and stuff like that haha

They have Betelgeuse, Strawnilla (Absolutely amazing), Sure Bert, and RazCup which are all fruity flavors. Clark is a perfectionist and spends as much time as needed to make a juice the best it can be. Simply stated, yes it is as good as people say and is definitely worth a try.

I am just one that has to save where I can. That is the main reason I started DIY which I can make for about 3¢ a ml. Here is a thread I checked all the time when I first began.

Hope this helps. You may already know about it but I posted it in case someone who doesn't is reading this. Good luck to you.

I would like to know why a 30 ml bottle of juice is 20$ like why is it so expensive it makes me kinda mad..

Is it expensive???? Cigs cost $5.25 per pack.. I smoke 1-2 per day.. For this we use 1 pack. 7 Days = $40...... Juice at I use 5-6ml per day thats about $24 for the same 7 days. Seem to be a almost 50% percent savings per week compared to smoking.

Well, I've been trying juices other than NT lately, but none have been as good. Unfortunately, there are some NT flavors I love that haven't been made for a long time, and I'm running out. So trying to fill those gaps, but its not easy.

VaporDNA gave me a sample of a Vanilla Custard with a recent mod order, and its actually pretty darn good. 3 10ml bottles are $12. So that's cheaper. I'm going to get more. Its not CLS or Frenilla, but I did like it.

I haven't been batting very well so far with other companies though. I got 4 Mr. Good Vapes juices, and only liked one. I got 3 Ahlusion juices, and only liked one.

You had it good smoking cigs @$5.25 per pack. Butts are $11.00-$16.00 per pack depending how close to the city you are in NY.
