I just could never see WHY lung-inhale a cigarette! Other "stuff", sure, for maximum effect, but not cigarettes. I've tried an rda that's very airy, even at minimum airflow setting... and it's just useless with my usual MtL technique, it's like trying to "smoke a straw" -- it felt like I was getting nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing... OMG IT'S TOO MUCH and I'd nearly fall out coughing. Now I leave that Caterpillar strictly ALONE. I'll probably end up PIFing it and the Veritas and the Derringer. The Veritas actually *can* be closed off pretty well, if you leave just a sliver of the airhole showing, but I found it "just ok" and I'm told that it's a lot better than "just ok" with higher power... which I doubt I will ever use, so it's kinda wasted on me. The Derringer I got because it's so small, I thought it would make a great stealth vape, but it's got "mystery airflow" from *somewhere* even with every airhole closed, it's STILL too airy. And someone had the nerve to tell me that the Derringer could be closed off for tootle puffing... NO IT CAN'T!

Andria, My wife is 100% opposite of me. She is a direct lung inhaler, will only use her KFL and ERL clones, and likes a fairly tight draw. If I try and vape hers, it is not satisfying for me, not enough vapor. If she tries mine, she can only take little sipper hits and give it back as soon as she has tasted it. I cant vape her stuff, and she cant vape mine, but at least we like all the same juices. :?)

It slays me how some think somehow everyone should vape the same. Its as different as what kind of food you like, or what kind of car you drive. Its a very personal habit and the thing that binds us all together is we no longer give BT any money. And we are all living much happier lives. :?)

the Mugwumps were also a folk group in the early 60s, NYC I think -- Mama Cass (later of the Mamas and the Papas!) was a member, and also some members of The Byrds, I think.

Andria
great so now their going to be coming out with mods with built in MP3 players for the mugwompers.

Tootle puffing is bad, it's bad!

C'mon now.
the practice is not bad but the name is offensive to some people. I loved the TV series "my name is earl" but I know many people who live like that would find the stereotype offensive.common deficiency indicates that you don't use titles that people find offensive unless you are trying to provoke conflict. tootle sounds like a name some spoiled rich girl would call her over pampered poodle.

Hmmm... From my point of view if there is something wrong in vaping, it is subohming.

If this is wrong:

"Be a good girl or the modwomper will get you!"
I think this is unofficially our new slogan

I think one of the worst things we have done here is to start Vaping classifications.
Why would a community want to start segregating fellow vapors into categories?

Don't we all Vape - in whatever manor we wish - because Vaping satisfies us? Isn't that what really matters?

:vapor:
It's not about segregation, it's about having a place where you can ask a vaping question and get an answer that isn't drastically off from your vaping style. If you have a device that maxes at 15w and you want to know how good a subtank will be, you want answers from those vaping at 15w and below. And it's fun.

This is quite a fun romp through the world of vaping! :pop: I love all the monikers that people make up to define what they are doing. I am a tootle puffer by default. (De-fault of my gear! I build a 1.8Ω coil and anything over 9Watts or OR 5.4 volts just tastes burnt.) I can't quite figure out how some people use higher watts.:?:
I am just proud of how I got off cigs, I never thought I could!
OP good for you, keep on vaping!
Higher watts require more airflow and better wicking. There's no mystery behind it, anything designed to be used on an ego or smaller device wasn't meant to go above 4.2v

I also used to also think that way crxess but in the end vapers are people too and people look for community. Since there have been threads for Tooltle Puffers, WompRats and cloud chasers on ECF I've noticed this place has calmed down a bit. There isn't as much friction anymore between people who prefer different styles of vaping.

So for now I think it's been a good thing and as long as the sub-groups don't start getting on each others case it will continue that way. Time will tell, but it's looking good so far :)
Yup, it's all fun and games, and vaping.

My ladies like small clouds...
At least that's what they say to your face :p

No way man, I'm gonna eff those m'er f'ers up!

I went all Bazinga on the Modwhompers yesterday!!

The problem is, these days, is that you can't say or do anything without offending someone. Perhaps as a society we need to lighten up a bit?

That's why I'm thinking of PIFing those attys I have that I will never use; no reason someone else can't appreciate them, maybe someone who can't afford to try a bunch of stuff to see what they like. I can't afford *expensive* stuff, but none of those RDAs was very expensive (to me), as they're all clones. Perfectly good hardware, just not my thing at all. And so many have been very generous to me in the same way, helping me get started. :thumb:
