Squonking is the action of squeezing the bottle in a bottom fed mod. Bottom fed mods are where you have an atty with a hole drilled in the bottom connection so it can feed juice up through the bottom using a removable bottle built in to the mod.

Here is an example:

I have no desire to make huge clouds. I have no desire to build my own coils, or build anything really. I have no desire to own a 150 watt device. Infact, I prefer just the variable voltage only devices (simpler for my noobish ways). I'm more of a flavor chaser that requires the nicotine to keep me from craving a cig. With a great flavor and the right nicotine content I've stayed away from cigarettes for a month.

This is EXACTLY me! Except I'm at about a month and a half now (it's hard for me to believe!). I'm a proud Tootle Puffer and have no desire for anything else. I like the flavors, which I originally thought I'd HATE (I hated "flavored" cigarettes), I like the inhale/exhale part the most, and the nicotine keeps me from craving smoke. I never realized until I quit that it had been doing as much damage as it had, but my last cigarette was the day after I got my starter kit, and I only had it to see if I still liked it or not. I didn't. So that was it.

I'm still using my Kanger EVOD starter kit, and I love them! I also have a similar type battery with variable voltage that was gifted to me by another proud Tootle Puffer, and I've been playing with that a bit, but I can't see myself needing much more than that, ever.

CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU, and we'll see you over on the Tootle Puffer thread!

Lol, No there's nothing wrong with Tootle Puffing or Tootle Puffers. Vaping is an individual journey; it's all about what works for you. A "Tootle Puffer" is a person who likes a low powered vape. A "Cloud Chaser" or "Steamthrower" is a person who likes a high powered vape. A "Modwomper" is in between. Some people-- the uneducated or vindictive kind-- use these terms as derogatory, or intend to. Adults tend to ignore them. "Squonking," BTW, describes the act of using a particular type of vape gear; one which holds a supply of juice on-board the mod, rather than in the atomizer, and the juice at the wick is replenished by some action of the user rather than the gravity/vacuum system employed in a tank-type atomizer. Typically, there is a little plastic bottle of juice next to the battery. One squeezes or presses on it to force juice up a tube and into the atomizer, normally a bottom-fed adaptation of a regular old dripping atomizer. The mods that do this are called "squonkers" (as are the people who use them) or "squonk boxes."

There is absolutely nothing wrong with being a tootle puffer - I am actually quite proud to belong to the fraternity. I have moved to rebuildables and do own mech mods but only from a sense of thrift and for self sufficiency and preservation in "the day after". I still build high ohms and tootle puff happily on my atties.

Damn...All this time I was a Modwomper and never even knew it. A squonking modwomper at that! Sounds like the name of a catfish or something.[emoji1]

Yeah, them squonking modwompers are the worst kind, all right :) Like I have room to talk. I'm a modwomper myself, albeit I haven't tried a squonker yet. I do have an idea to build one that would be an "autosquonker," though. I don't see any reason you couldn't use the release of the fire button to trigger a short press by a tiny solenoid to squonk the bottle for you...

This is soooo interesting! First of all welcome HaidaMan! And congrats on making the move to vaping! It doesn't matter how you vape as long as it works for you!
I have all kinds of gear including Evods, ISticks with Nautilus minis and aerotanks and Squonking REOs! I guess I am a squonking Tootle Puffer because I run my REO coils at about 1.8.
To me Tootle Puffers is an endearing term because I have gotten to know so many wonderful people when I discovered Tootleville!
What is important is that we all respect and support each other in our vaping journeys! So whatever gear you use and prefer is what is important.

Congrats on kicking the butts and welcome to the asylum! :thumb:
I guess I'm a tootle-whomping mod puffer. I have a variety of attys built to different resistances that I use from 25W to 100W to fire. My all day gear if a Kayfun (tootler) but I switch it up once an hour or so and grab an RDA for a cloud and a quick nic fix. It's all about what you like and there are thousands of choices out there for you to customize the experience to your particular tastes. Do what you like and what works for you.

There is now a Squonking Modwomper thread in the lounge..Idk who would do such a thing?!?:sneaky:

So will this be followed up with a Squonking Tootle Puffer thread?
Maybe the soda drinking pooch is on to something!

And Lannie, is your puppy a Great Pyrenees?

Congrats on switching to vaping, no matter the method. I am a proud tootle puffer....don't need clouds, just simple and efficient nicotine delivery. I went from evods to a cute mini Provari, can't see the need for anything else. Maybe someday, but not for now. See you on the tootle puffer page!

Hmmm... From my point of view if there is something wrong in vaping, it is subohming.

I've been vaping since early days, was the first vaping personality to have my own line of eliquid, and have generally been a pretty good advocate for vaping along the way. I pretty much vape everything below 0.3 ohms and 40w or better nowadays. Why exactly do you feel the need to criticize how I choose to vape?

seriously, I don't give a **** what anyone says of thinks about how I vape, just pointing out that negativity among ourselves is divisive and self defeating
