"Starter"? Nonsense. Kayfuns are an excellent MTL tank where a tighter draw is preferred by many. Bigger coils more power and air and big clouds aren't a progression, they are just a choice for those who like direct to lung vaping. Two different things.

You said it so well

@Grego25 - Might want to check out this one that's on sale for only $7.00! I've gotten several from them (at a higher price), and I just learned how to build coils on them in the last month or so. So the deck definitely isn't too tiny even for a beginner to learn on! I've also bought a bunch of the bases, the acrylic bell caps, the chimney bases, etc. to make even more of the little "shorty" ones. Love them, too!

Make sure to check out what comes with it, too, in the box!

Kayfun Lite Plus RBA Clone by EHPro
I have 5 of these in black. They were $5 each when I bought them and are awesome. Almost as good as my authentics.

Thanks for all the responses. I'm leaning towards a lite clone. What's the difference between that and the lite plus? Just have to figure out how to get one without getting in trouble. I'm thinking about maybe getting clones of a couple different ones if I like the first. Just not sure how I'll feel about mtl but I'd like to try it on a proper device instead of choking down my sub ohm tanks with a smaller drip tip.

The plus has- Adjustable airflow in the form of a little screw in the bottom and an oring to stop leaking somewhere I think.

Get a + IMO. May as well. I have authentics just because for me clones never worked properly but that is not the case with most people so I'm sure you'll be a lucky one.

It really depends on your style and what you want. I started with a nautilus mini and they are kinda similar in terms of draw. Then I went subtank to lots of rdas and crazy plumes of vapour maybe to 100 watts and after a year and a bit of vaping I got a kayfun and absolutely love it. You learn to never use the fill hole and never need to tinker with the build.

Good idea for the clones to find out what you want from a tank. Crazy air flow and low nic - higher nic and a tight mtl draw, or perhaps somewhere in between.

Good luck :thumb:

I would also check out the kayfun mini v3. I have had them all and do prefer the v3 over the kfl's. The kfl's are a pretty tight draw and the bottom fill is a little bit of a pain although there is a way to top fill if you go through the steps. The v3 is of less capacity at 2ml but imo it's worth it compared to the kfl. The advantages of the k3 over the kfl is the top fill, juice flow control, potential for a bit more airflow and the potential for higher wattage. As for a clone, I don't buy them so you will need to do your homework, all I know is the ones from 3f vapes are terrible, as my wife knows all to well.

Do you know who manufactured your Wifes clone?
Bought a V3mini clone from Anglecigs last March. Very good, don't remember the manfturer.
Am in the market for an authentic, 2ml has me dragging my feet though..

It didn't say, but I should ask them in an email. Honestly it was a joke, one of them had like 3 threads on the chimney, so if you opened the JF more then like a half turn, it came apart, on the other tank, the JF wouldn't close off completely, so it leaked every time you refilled. They sent a replacement, which solved the JF ussues but then wouldn't make a connection to the mod. After 3 months of emails and replacement parts, I finally gave up and demanded a credit, which they did after 2 more months of emails. I honestly think they just kept giving me tanks that were in the defective pile. I am actually curious as to the brand and will ask them

Capacity doesn't really bother me and is actually preferred. All my rta's are 2 to 2.5 mls. I just love the small size and if they were of full size, I buy the nano kits. For me it's because I vape 6 to 7 rta set ups throughout the day, so a small tank is fine. When at work, I bring 2 set ups and I only vape about 4 mls per day all together anyways, so a big tank really doesn't have any advantages for my style of vaping

And to me, it is a distant memory, a beginner rta. Something that helped me figure out what i truly wanted out of a vaporizer. I liked the engineering behind the kayfun there were some flaws. For the most part it was solid it showed me the possibilities. To me the griffin is just a larger perfected version of the kayfun v4 obvious differences but the core aspects are there. Top filling, Juice control, air flow, great wicking. I still take long draws, maybe not quite as long as on the kayfun but i dont need to now. Like i said that is my opinion. the kayfun played a pivotal role in my vaping youth, in the sea of options out there it was a great starting point.
You refer to the v4 like its the only Kayfun available. It is of course an old version of the Kayfun.I guarantee if you tried a V5 your Griffin would end up in the scrap heap.I have both and the difference is night and day.If you are a direct lunger the V5 is for you.If you are a MTL 'er the v3 mini is an excellent choice.Just my opinion though.

For what reason would i switch to a v5, what does it have that the griffin 25 Plus does not have?

Enormous flavor benefits. I have griffin 25+, crown v1 and a goon dripper, all I use nowadays is kayfun v5 on a go and a goon when at home or to check out flavors. Kayfun v5 is also easy to build on with redesigned posts.

Griffin is a good tank, but not as good as goon for cloud or anything else tbh and not as good for flavor production as kayfun v5.

Oh, forgot to add - comparing griffin to kayfun is like apples to oranges. Not a good pair to compare.

I would say comparing the 2 is apples and oranges as well. Griffin 25+ has 4x the airflow, easier to wick/better juice flow. Dual coil velocity build deck, larger build deck. I get more than enough flavor produced from my griffin. I also will not drip i do not want to have to continually refill and drip juice on the cotton constantly. While i have used quite a few drippers since my brother in law likes them, they are just not for me.

I don't like the 5 but I have the authentic one. Just too loose for me.

Out of the two it is insanely better than a griffin. Night and day.

But I think this gentlemen is actually in love with his griffin.
We all know that love is blind so I guess we should leave him too it.

When a friend gives you a puff on the 5 you'll probably chuckle at the thought of your unbreakable bond with the griffin.

So you are trying to claim that i would/should switch to a v5 based on flavor, knowing it will never keep up in wicking, wont keep up in vapor production. because the v5 is so much different in flavor than the v4.... Apparently only the opinion of those chasing flavor matters, and not those who want a happy balance of flavor and cloud with the ease of a tank and great wicking for chain vape'rs. Clearly only the kayfun can be crowned champion, that is why EVERYONE uses a kayfun... right....?
