why we love evic

I have found that different mods render different taste qualities, and when it comes to flavor subtleties, the eVic is my guy.

A particular chocolate/vanilla/Strawberry DIY juice I make tastes a tad on the bland side with the Zmax t-3, overcompressed into a single-type flavor by the Provari, but the eVic brings out all the nuances and subtleties of the taste exquisitely just the way it tastes best.

When it comes down to low-ohm slightly above 1.1 vaping, and I use unflavored, nothing touches the Provari in the electronic arena. When it comes to flavors, the eVic reigns supreme, the Zmax I use for flavors that don't matter any which way, and my mechanical vapes one particular Apple/Blueberry concoction like no electronic mod can.

Sometimes we have to look beyond the "Good, Bad and Ugly" boiler templates and really see how each type of mod can serve us best. The eVic in my book is in a league of it's own, and I wouldn't part with for all the other mods on both sides of the Pacific.

the evic can get a lot of scrutiny for not being absolutely perfect. i personally am sick of this!
it only goes up to 5v/11w they say, we dont care!
it seems very fragile, we treat it like its our baby!
mvr is stupid and pointless, we check how many hits we take everyday!
why not just get a zmax/provari they say? simple, those dont tell me the time
i love my evic simply because it works as much as i need it to. i dont care about 6v vaping, just as i dont care that it will probably break when i drop it. i love it simply because all the gadgety nonsense in it is enough to keep me playing with it all day!

I'm actually considering picking up a black evic right now and have been searching for reviews, opinions, comparisons on it. I clicked on this thread and lol'd at the time comment. maybe i will pick one up to replace my watch! =)

all kidding aside, I am using a VAMO and some mech mods right now, but my vamo threads have stripped, so planning on joining the Evic family!

It's kind of funny but after 3 months I actually am more used to looking at the eVic to check the time. It's usually already in my hands so I don't have to pull out my phone. I even struggle to see it in day light before I pull out the phone when I can't see the LCD.

I must be the odd one... I like the light tube. I do wish I could find a matching flat top instead of the cone like one it comes with. One that matches the aga-t's width ideally.

I must like mine, I have a provari, 2 zmax & others in a drawer getting dusty. I have yet to have any issues with mine. I've dropped it quite a few times and it's only shut it's self off. Considering my tank is glass.. I worry more I'd break that than the eVic. I'd like them to up the specs on it a bit & maybe a brighter LCD, but I still love the thing.

I have had my evic for about 2 months now and I couldn't be happier. I have all the colored tubes and the 18350 tube. A telescoping tube would top it off but that will have to wait. I love all the small features on it, especially the MVR. I do wish it was a bit more durable but that is partly because I am so rough on it. It is still working perfectly so I guess you could say it is durable.

I have an evic and a black tube. The standard tube slides more then the black one. With a blak vivi nova tank it looks good.BUt the black can easily be scratched if you put it in your pockets with your keys or so

Wow, looks like the Naysayers finally got what they really wanted or learned how to work an electronic device. Complaint threads have dropped of to nothing.
Both of mine, since Jan. are still working Great.

FYI - New FLAT Top Caps coming Soon - direct from Joyetch. Only I did not see an original color Flat being offered. I'll probably grab a black to go with the Black Carbon Fiber 18350.

eVic has received a lot of undue criticism from Provari fanboys.

The eVic has got them rattled because it is such a good PV that keeps improving as the firmware is upgraded with only 1 flaw in my opinion which is the 2.5 amp limitation. I am sure they will address this soon and make the device more durable. When that happens, the eVic will be much better than the Provari.

I own a Provari and think that eVic is pretty good with lots of potential to boot.

i like evic so much. i dont need a li-ion charger to charge batteries. im not worried about finding li-on charger in work or holidays. i just plug my evic any phone or any compact camera cable and its done :) its easy to use i mean its really easy. i dont press the same button 40 times... evics screen has pixels not digits... its upgradeable, automatic battery function, i can read ohm wolt watt remaining puff and battery info on main screen in "same time" etc etc etc...

man I agree.. sick of people talking smack about the evic.

I loveeeeee mine and really happy I didn't end up dropping another 100-150$ on something more expensive.. (only paid 70$ for my evic through classifieds)

my ZMAX can get higher VW/VV if needed, so I'm not missing out on anything.. and personally love how super lightweight it is.. (the zmax is heavy enough to be used as a blunt weapon if needed)

can't wait to see what they do with the next firmware update!

now that i have had the device for a little bit here is my list:
it's modular design makes the possibility of a future doomsday less scary and easier to deal with.
i've already dropped the sucker more than i would like to admit, and it is really resilient.
it is a powerhouse, and i don't even need to max it out for what i'm putting on top of it.
a passthrough is really nice.
how the 1.2 update allows all my wattage/volt/ohm information to be displayed, which allieviates me from my duty of partially memorizing a most-used portion of a massive chart.
j-wraps seem cool.
after market tubes! i can't wait for this to catch on more, and i hope they do.
oh. my current total puffs are already at 21 710. >.> i must really love it.
it has been described as a "magic wand" in addition to the requisite references to dr who and star trek devices.
the design of the top cap is essentially a universal for 510 types. i only use one type of clearomizer currently, but hey. still useful.
