I'm curious. I went from a crappy Evod, to a Vision Spinner 2, to and MVP3.0, and now have an istick 50w to go with my mvp. I use a couple kanger subtanks and an aerotank just for flavor choice. I feel like I would never need anything better or especially more powerful than these ever. The highest wattage I vape at is like 16.5 max. So I see lots of people saying these are good starter boxes, or that theres is 100 watts, and whatever else. Why? I'm seriously curious. I mean hell with my track record of ugrades it's not far fetched that I'll be one of those people one day lol. But right now, I feel like it can't get much better as far as flavor, power, and battery life. I know there are better, my question is why.

It can't get any better than a vape that is tasty and satisfying to you.

Sounds like you're already there.

I'm happy driving my '04 Volvo sedan, others seem to need the latest Lexus, BMW, Mercedes, whatever.
Different strokes for different folks. If you're happy with what you're vaping, why on earth would you mess with it?

I'm not man lol. My istick 50w arrived today, I got it really cheap as a backup. If my mvp3.0 were to crap out I don't want to have to rush to the store and pay full price for a replacement. I'll be using both. Sometimes you can't choose, you gotta just give a little love to 2. I don't want my Mvp getting jealous and all depressed. Anyway you're right, I am completely content. The only thing that would be cool I guess if they're like 10,000 mah one day. But even that is unnecessary. I chain vape subtanks and still get 2 days before my battery indicator is half. Then my ocd kicks in and I charge it anyway. Like I said I'm just curious. Like what makes a $100 box mod any better than these little guys? And why on earth does anyone need 100 watts? Or even 50? Or hell 30? I smoked a pack a day at least for like 12 years, my lungs can handle quite a bit, but like I said i.max out at like 16-17 watts. In fact if I try to hit it at like 25 it just burns it up.

I see your point and share some of the same thoughts.
It also good to hear that your happy with what you have been using.
I started out with a twist battery and a tmax & using a protank.
At the time I thought that it was all I'll ever need.
Times has changed and I moved with it.
I purchased a ipv mini2, sigelei box mod and than a zna 50.

Kayfun lite, got five of them cause I like it that much.
Easy to build, taiste great and plenty vape.
Also, I love the taiste outta my orchid v4.
Thats where I am now, cant be any happier.
That being said, methinks one doesnt need more than 30 watt.
Someone was to ask I'd suggest a 50w mod.
It not too much or too little.
I use my zna 50, cause it fits the hand better than box mods.
Easy as heck to change batteries, dont have to remove tiny screws.
Fire button is very user friendly.
Dependable and looks kewl, people always asking bout it & where to get one.
Sorry, just thinking out loud.
Popular stuff you hear bout, at times what it all crank up to be.
Look in these forums & you'll see alot of members having issues with their mods.
Just go with what yeah got and vape.
Thats what I'd do.
Learned. Sigeleis arent all that great.
I given my ipv2 to my brother whom just starting out.
Well enjoy, enjoyed reading your post.

Jim

Once I got a kayfun, I never wanted any other kind of atty, though I do try different RDAs from time to time. But I buy mods as I need them -- 3 of my current ones were at or over a year old, so I got an iStick30, and yesterday ordered another, because when any of those older ones die, I want to already have something great -- and maybe the old ones won't die as quickly, since I'll have others in the rotation. Got a couple mechs, and I might get a couple more, but they don't get used nearly as much as the regulated mods -- they're mainly vapocalypse insurance, and I use them enough to be familiar with their operation -- someday they might be the means by which I stay off cigarettes, if the FDA goes completely insane about regulations.

DanJiblets, you sound like you would fit right in, in the Tootle Puffer thread -- come join us! :)

This is the thing with an iStick...and im not knocking your set up, but one day that battery WILL go bad and then your out a whole mod. If you get an IPV or a sig, even a 30w sig you can swap out the battery and throw it in the trash. A new one only cost a few bucks not $30-40. Also, you will never have to charge your device, just keep a few extra batteries on hand and you always vaping.

I found myself ever so slowly upgrading and by upgrading I mean I just ordered a 30 watt. LOL

The main thing I have been stepping up is tanks. I started a long time ago when they didn't even have tanks and then I went from cleros to protanks to the Nautilus and then just got sick of shelling out so much money on coils and decided to learn how to build.

I am pretty happy with my RTAs now and get great vapor and flavor without getting crazy with sub ohms.

I bought my mod in 2012...ancient history. It's a Joyetech ego-t upgrade 18650 mod that fires at a regulated 3.4v. It was discontinued when I bought it for $20 so don't go looking for one, lol. With a Kayfun at 1.5 ohms, I'm vaping unflavored liquid at a whopping 7.7 watts. The thing is that I haven't bought anything except VG from Walmart for the last 10 months.

Of coarse I drive a 2003 VW and still have a flip phone, so I'm pretty easy to satisfy. If it ain't broke...

Good point. Oh well maybe by that time I'll try something with replaceable batteries. But honestly, if this thing lasts 6 months, it's way more than worth it to me.

But wouldn't it be better to have somthing last you 6 years instead of 6 months? I'm not trying to argue against your opinion, but why not spend the extra money for a reputable PV and better track record? I want stuff that's gonna last me for years, not throw aways.

Like DanJiblets, I progressed to a device that I am satisfied with. Started with the cigalikes, moved to what made me happy, a VV/VW and thought I was in vape nirvana using several different clearomizers. All was good in my world.

Someone introduced me to dripping. The flavor was, to me, so much better and, these drippers allowed me to reduce the amount of nicotine in the juices I used. I was the happy vaper!

Mostly due to ECF, I became curious about the bottom fed devices. Seemed to be the best of the dripping world so I had to have one. I am again in vaping nirvana and hope to stay there for a long time.

I venture to say, whatever makes you satisfied to stay away from tobacco, is a good thing!

I have a ipv and a few others but there is no guarantee it going to last more than 6 months either.

It would probably, I will definitely look into one whenever that time may come.
