you will know you've reached the end of your search for the perfect vape, when you vape the same setup every day for a year and still love it the same as when you first tried it.

cheers
The only things Ive found I love the same for more than a year is my Wife and my Dog O yea and my SS 44 Back Off!.jpg My kids not so much sometimes:blink:

I was a half a pak day smoker for 30 yrs. When I started to vape I was using a clone ego and those cheap clearmizer that were overpriced. then a protank 3 with the heads that sometimes worked, or didn't. Then I got a mvp2. Got started with dripping using a Igo-l and a nemsis clone. till that died, then a smoktech maganito with a helios clone.
Just recently bought a Kbox and a subtank mini, couldn't get the rba to work, and I wanted for the life of me to try a RTA caz I found I was a favor junkie, so I got myself a Lemo 2 and I'm happy as a clam with it on the Kbox.
I discovered DIY e-juice, caz let face it who wants to spend $15 a pop on a 15ml bottle of juice, that will last me maybe 3 days on my lemo 2 caz she's guzzle the juice.
add in the pg, vg, liquad nicotine, flavor extracts, unicorn bottles, wires, cotton, battaries.
it really is a hobby, would I go back to smoking cigarettes....hell no!!!!!!!!!

Lol after several years, I'm still using a Kayfun at .9 a dripper at .6 and a genesis at around .9.

The models changed, but never did find devices i liked better,
I have been through 4 Kayfun versions and dozens of drippers though. All the other things I try either get sold or sit on a shelf, after awhile I finally realized what I have is fine with me, don't need a taifun, squape, rose, fogger, orchid or one of the 100's of other Kayfun variations.

In the case of drippers, now that there are so many I get to find exactly what features I would prefer, not just choose from 8 variations on the exact same design

It all comes down to personal preference, maybe someone else likes the Kayfun but wants more airflow, or dual coils or different tank sizes etc.

For a lot of people who are new(er) you don't remember when there was no choice. I remember a time when there was 2 drippers to choose from, rebuildable tanks didn't exist, and the biggest advancement was replaceable clearomizer heads, choice is good....

I can remember when I was at a B&M talking to this one dude who was waiting in line with me. I was puffin on an itase vv with a protank. I asked him what he used just to pass the time. He told me drips and I thought to myself "dude you might want to have a doctor check that out". Anyway he led me to a couple of fellas over at a table that had all this crap in a tool box. They gave me the 101 on dripping and I was hooked. I no longer drip given that all of these new RTAs out there with great airflow.

But wouldn't it be better to have somthing last you 6 years instead of 6 months? I'm not trying to argue against your opinion, but why not spend the extra money for a reputable PV and better track record? I want stuff that's gonna last me for years, not throw aways.

But will you still want to use the same device years from now? A lot of times it seems as though the same folks who talk about being able to keep a changeable battery device for longer are the same ones who want the latest and greatest.

Personally, I prefer not having to change batteries, and one of my first VV v3s is still going after 1 1/2 years. The other one I broke, it didn't wear out. And I was given a Vamo recently, and the batteries, not top of the line or high amp, cost as much as a VV v3.

Even if you don't, atleast you'll have a reliable mod in your drawer that you can use at anytime. I bought a Panzer mech years ago and still hit on it every now and again. Things built like a tank. Will last me years.

I personaly started off to stop smoking but now it has become a collection hobby, and lets face it a decent mech mod will far out last any hockey card or stamp ;)

For me, it's both -- a godsend miraculous way to quit smoking and stay that way, with some very cool devices that are just, well, cool. :D I've been a computer geek for a long time, and I thought I loved technology... but personal vaporizer technology beats 'em all!! But I'm also a tightfisted pinchpenny, so I shop for price, with value taken into consideration -- for instance, I have a Vamo, and I use it, but I knew it was probably going to be no great shakes at longevity, so I only paid $17 for it -- I've more than gotten my money's worth out of by now -- got it in august, and still use it daily, though as a secondary. Sigelei Zmax was also an excellent value for the $36 I paid for it last year; considering I got my first iStick30 for the same price, and this 2nd one I've ordered for even less, I'm sure it will also be a reasonable value. The stainless threads are a noticeable improvement over the iStick20; the sigelei zmax has the same.

Lots of good points here for sure. I'm not dissing or saying anything is unnecessary, or not trying to. Like I said I literally couldn't understand why. My little Istick cranks up over 3 times the wattage I set it at for my. 5 ohm subtanks lol. Someone mentioned certain tanks require huge wattage. I LOVE my subtanks though, always liked Kanger tanks. Either way I'm too tired to read every post, but I'll stick around here more...interesting read. Happy vaping.

My poldiac is 3 years old, in my hand right now, my nemesis is about 2 sitting here on my desk with a dripper on it.
People buy new stuff cause they can, or they weren't really happy with what they have, or they have shinyitis.

Same can be said for anything, I use an okuma pro fishing reel I bought 5 years ago, for like $120, still works perfect,

Every time I go to the shop there's some display screaming " new model xxx for 2015!" With new bearings mined straight from unicorn turds. Only $50 dollars more then last years model. Would I like to play with it? Sure, will it make fishing better? Mmmm not so much.........

A Provari 2.5 with a Kayfun and a couple of mechanical mods and RDAs kept me satisfied for well over a year. I had the devices I needed for driving, work and home use and didn't feel the need to upgrade or replace anything until...accurate implementation of temperature control came along. I initially switched from smoking to vaping for health reasons and my personal belief is that TC will prove to be a healthier way to vape. All of my toppers are backwards compatible with my SX Mini M and I think I should be set for the foreseeable future...until...ultra-sonic or laser atomizers come along...

Is there a dripper tank I can use for my istick/mvp? I'll say that does interest me for trying new flavors, but not enough for a new mod.
Get an origen v2 or 3 dripper, killer flavor, big, deep well, can run single or dual coils.
Def my fav purchase as of late, and even tossed all my other drippers into the gear box. Liked the v2 so much I got the v3 coming so I can try a mesh wick build without tearing this one down.

It's all a matter of personal preference. Some of us find their "sweet spot" and stop, others are constantly curious about what else is out there and can't resist trying new toys. Neither point of view is wrong.

After a couple of years I am somewhat into both camps. I use and appreciate a simple iStick 30 both in terms of price and practicality as an easy grab and go device...but I may pull the trigger on the SX Mini M class soon. I don't feel constrained to justify either the fancier or more utilitarian devices that I use, I just vape and enjoy being smoke free.

That's kinda how I feel, too. I've got some great hardware, a very satisfying vape, so I'm not on a wild tear to buy every new thing that comes along. But since I got a Magma, I've discovered that there are a few RDAs that actually suit my tight-draw, tootle-puffing style of vaping, so sometimes I'll try out something new that looks promising -- but only when I can find it for a great price! :D

I'm curious. I went from a crappy Evod, to a Vision Spinner 2, to and MVP3.0, and now have an istick 50w to go with my mvp. I use a couple kanger subtanks and an aerotank just for flavor choice. I feel like I would never need anything better or especially more powerful than these ever. The highest wattage I vape at is like 16.5 max. So I see lots of people saying these are good starter boxes, or that theres is 100 watts, and whatever else. Why? I'm seriously curious. I mean hell with my track record of ugrades it's not far fetched that I'll be one of those people one day lol. But right now, I feel like it can't get much better as far as flavor, power, and battery life. I know there are better, my question is why.

I dunno.

Some people like to do Builds that work for them at 60 or 70 Watts. I like to Build where my "Sweet Spot" Heat Flux is around 15 Watts.
