Will self cleaning coils and self wicking coils ever exist?

Right concept, wrong group. CS's have the Reading Rooms.

Over here the Witnesses are usually looking to hand out some pamphlets and the latest issue of The Watchtower accompanied with "Could I offer you some reading material?". Sometimes disguised inside of a newspaper. Makes me wonder why they don't just go for the ol' cookie bribe. Works on me most of the time.

No fun when cultural differences kills a half-decent joke :p

They are thinking something along those lines ...

Frankly, unless something flags it for me, I'm not looking at locale flags on posts. Hadn't a clue you are in Norge.
Completely :offtopic:
My grandmother, rest her soul, was born into a long line of Mormons. She became a Born-Again Christian in her 20's and was staunch in her faith for the rest of her life. In her later years, when the young Mormon missionaries would come calling, she would invite them in and let them start talking about the graces of Mormonism. At which point she would whip out her Bible and begin countering everything they had said with passages from the King James Version. I'm sure she was close to converting a few of them by the time she was done. :)

Not in a portable device, I don't think. Somebody might build a vape-tending robot one of these days: set you mod in it when you go to bed, and it's cleaned, re-wicked, recharged and filled in the morning. And there's no actual reason the wick has to be in contact with the heating element, it's just easy to do; and no real need to use a wick at all as a juice transportation system. Come to that, the heating element doesn't have to contact the juice, even. You could encase the element in a copper sheath surrounded by a stainless shell and transfer the heat to the juice by conduction. Or build a pump to replace the wick and leave the element at vapor temp all the time (with a lot better batteries or plugged into the wall). Then, when you push the button you won't actually be firing the coil, it will already be hot. You will, instead, pump juice onto a preheated vaporizing plate. But no matter what happens, for as long as people like sweet/"heavy" juices, they're going to gunk whatever heats them, and that will have to be cleaned. It's not that hard to do, even. I think I could design one and build it in my garage. What I can't do is make it the size of a SX Mini.

"Mesh, mesh, of what is this mesh you speak? Is it what I step into right before my wife beans me with the holy pin of rolling?" ;)

No, you're safe from the holy pin of rolling with mesh :)

@WattWick is talking about stainless steel mesh, like this stuff. I used it for the best part of a year in a Genisis tank. Gives very clean flavor and lasts a long time, once you know how to use it.

"Ah! Oh! Why! Oh! Ha! I outta ..." :)

Yep. I had seen about stainless steel mesh before. My levity circuit is a bit fried presently.
Not transmitting correctly. May be from a pain medicine I took. Need to sleep to reboot.

I want a Mini Me to clean my house, do yard work and go grocery shopping.

Just keep him happy. Remember, he is just the right height to headbutt you in the nuts.

Pick me! Pick me! I know this one! ;)

(This must be how a Jehovah's Witness feels like when they see someone actually looking for reading material. :D)

... reminds me I haven't filled my monthly quota of Preaching the Gospel Of Mesh. Mesh is good. Mesh is great.

(We've probably had this discussion a couple times already. I'm just clowning around.)

On a tangent, if you live near a jehovas witness "kingdom hall" or whatever they call their church and are tired of being solicited to, next time they come around tell them very politely that you were "disfellowshipped" and that they probably shouldn't be seen at your house.

It's just the ol' pamphlet inverse walk-by. Doesn't happen too often. No problems with randoms on my door. Hardly anyone can find it. Which makes it funny and frustrating to watch delivery guys drive around the neighborhood. They do find the house on their GPS, but they never figure out how to get to the door :D

I go through so many coils. I get them pretty cheap and I'm not worried about the price, but I do always have to make sure to have enough coils around and on order, to ensure that I don't run out. I'm not really interested in re-wicking my already used coils. It's simpler for me just to throw them out. I use a few different kinds of kangertech coils. I vape some juices that can be considered heavy, so I am aware that this can decrease the life span of a coil by quite a bit.

This got me to thinking, will there ever be such a thing as a self cleaning and self wicking coil in the future sometime, maybe in some years from now? A person would be able to buy a mod that could have coils that take care of themselves, and lasts for ages?

I don't know how, I'm not an engineer, that's for the vape manufacturers to figure out. Perhaps they don't have the incentive, because if somebody ever invented a coil that lasts forever, then the industry would probably lose out on a lot of money, since nobody would have to buy replacements anymore?

These would be pretty darn close to what you are lookin for. Go to 1:50
