I think the point of the question is it's hypothetical. Assume you have no supplies for RBAs. No nicotine. Would you still vape if it costs as much as analogs?

If I had to surrender all my high end equipment and settle for Blu's and Logic's, I'd probably just quit cold turkey.

I would have to see whats in the market to decided. If the open market does not have what I need there will be a black market to go to. Considering the FDA regs would put the e-liquid market in the hands of BT i would rather pay criminals, they have better morals.

I have the means to make my own hardware if not the skill at this time, but thats easy to acquire.

On the cost question, I would probably start taking down my nic level till I got to zero and eventually stop. If the cost was more I would probably end up back on analogs.

Thanks. That's sort of my question. I fear the worst for ecigs. The worst = massive regulation, massive taxation and the industry in the hands of a few major corporations. The consumer gets crap, pays a lot for crap, has limited choices and the government sits back and takes everyone's money.

I think I'd quit too and just vape nic-less candy oil. At least until those are taxed through the roof.

Overregulation can happen, and it wouldn't surprise me either.

I've tried Blu's, NJoy Kings, Logics, Pufs, and even those Starbuzz things. They're crap, they make me not even want to vape.

Heck yeah I'll still vape! I have a mech mod on the way and PLENTY of juice supplies and rba's. Even if they regulate concentrated nic to the point where I can't get it anymore, I'll just switch to zero nic juice and keep on blowin big clouds! In a time of uncertainty, DIY juice and rba's and a mod that can never fail are your peace of mind!

If I needed nic and had no other choice I would pay the same to vape as cigarettes cost. I'm not into cigalikes, but I think some of the more expensive ones are there already. Of course, manufacturing them by the millions should make them much cheaper than they are now. And with that kind of money involved, performance would increase also.

I would still vape. I feel so much better than when I smoked, I'd never go back - but I do enjoy a good tobacco flavor and I do still like my nicotine. I've moving toward DIY juices (when I have the money to gear up) and I'm smart enough to learn to build a mod from scratch if I had to. And I would use the black market which will always exist. Don't forget that you can buy leaf tobacco tax-free - it's tobacco, not a tobacco product. It's tobacco products that are taxed to death.

The government claims to be watching out for our health and safety. It's a lie. They are looking for ways to get money, pure and simple. They don't give a damn about our health - in fact if we die off, that's a plus to them. So don't look for anything good to come from that direction. I don't know how the debate over vaping will eventually end - probably there'll be a SCOTUS case or three, and some stealth executive orders, but it is never about public safety. I want to learn to build mods out of copper pipe and batteries, do my own juices, and then....screw 'em.

I don't worry all that much about me, I can make everything I need if need be. It's the eight million that still want to quit smoking that I worry about. Will their opportunity to quit smoking get lost in all this mess?

That's a genuine concern. Given the way that Big Pharma has its hands in Congress' pants, there is no way that public health will become a genuine concern without a major overhaul in the way that Washington does business. Twenty years ago I had an epiphany while sitting in the doctor's office: if I get healthy, this guy loses money. What's wrong with this picture? Think it through and you will have the answer to your question.

I can see nicotine juice getting taxed, because the nicotine is what they are after, but I cannot see them taxing the hardware. The only reason starter kits are marked up so high at the gas stations and convenience stores is so the stores can make money off of them. PV's can be marketed as that, PV, instead of e cigarette. I think that is where the fail came in the first place, calling them e cigarettes.

Have seen people make these types of claims before. What if customs seizes all liquid nic like they were doing back in 2009? The idea that you'll just buy it from overseas is a very short sighted one.

Hence the word smuggle a shampoo bottle full of 100mg pg base nic in my checked luggage will last along time!
