Wire Popping...?

I've just had two wires pop in the last two days.

The thing is, I vape only about 2mL a day and that seems to be a little short on how long a wire should last.

My previous wires always lasted around the mark of about a week and I'm wondering if anyone else is having this problem.

Post more information about battery voltage, coil ohms, wire gauge for coil.
Another possibility is if the coil is so loosely wound the coil isn't maintaining contact with the wick it pops under load, from not being cooled by the eliquid.
At any rate, more information is needed to comment further.

Sorry, I kind of woke up from a nap when my coil popped.

Info:

- 3.7v battery (AW IMR 18350)
- Coil ohm ~1.5 (Don't have a multimeter but it was 2.5 cm of stock resistance wire)

I had two full wraps around 2 pieces of wick (I use the method shown by Scott). I was on my second tank when it popped and the vapor production was nearly nil.

However, I think that the coil was slightly looser than usual because I had to make a coil in a hurry and I kind of haphazardly made one.

I think your advice is spot on Poppa D because the new one I made is tighter and it hits better than the one that just popped.

A wild guess is loose connection between NR and R wires;

I had a couple go pop on me and this is exactly what I found out.

Somehow now that I use tweezers to twist my wires and do the loop and twist over,they last until they get too gunk up to be of any use

Use tweezers here too, never had a wire pop, ever. Even the smaller 0.13mm one have resisted dry burns and heavy use.

I had that happen once during a dry burn, I actually saw the little flash when it went. Make sure your twists are nice and tight and that your twisted parts aren't sticking up too far away from the wick, if that joint is weak and away from the juice where it stays dry then it can get hot enough to pop the joint between the wires. That's my theory, anyway
