They carded my wife (I'm a lucky old man married to a young chicka..). I suggested they cut her in half and count her rings. She was not amused. ;-)

That's awesome

What kills me is when you have a kid less than half your age carding you. Especially if they themselves aren't old enough to smoke!

Took the kid to a movie last night (Toy Story 1 and Toy Story II in 3D) and as we walked in the theater I saw large signs saying "Electronic Smoking devices Prohibited". Kinda caught me off guard. I guess the theater has already had some form of introduction to PV's!

I can fully understand the ban in the actual theater, but I was surprised that they were banned in the lobby as well.

Sorry, guess I'm showing my age...
this one is the red-tie guy....
Does the name Tommy ring any bells?
What I'd really like to see is some young, brilliant person start to run this state with more business sense than good-ole-boy political type. That hasn't us served us very well in the last fifty years or so. Open up the Dept of Education for someone who does, not someone who teaches. Too much union and not enough learning. Back to basics. Values. Principles, not principals. Our schools are tied up with games plans instead of study plans.

Tommy Thompson More More More!!! They should bring the guy back just for the hilarious sound bytes.

The Magestic... right in your back yard.

Last night we went to Hilltop in Delafield (I guess it's movie week!)... no problems there and I was vaping in the lobby before and after the showing.

Since this is only one of two wisconsin threads i've found here i'll post the e-mail I just received from senator kohls office.

Dear Mr. Lenten:

Thank you for contacting me about electronic cigarettes. I apologize about the delay in my reponse.

Smoking is the leading preventable cause of death in the United States. About 400,000 smokers die each year as a result of tobacco-related diseases, and it's estimated that as many as 50,000 non-smokers die annually from illnesses caused by exposure to secondary smoke. Smoking is a dangerous addiction and I believe that Americans, particularly young people, deserve to be fully aware of the risks of using tobacco products.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced on June 22, 2009 that electronic cigarettes, or "e-cigarettes," contain the same carcinogens and toxins that are also found in anti-freeze. These products have not been submitted to the FDA for analysis or approval, and the FDA has only performed limited testing on different brands to analyze what levels of nicotine and other chemicals are present in e-cigarettes. The FDA is concerned about the safety of these products, especially how they are being marketed to young adults.

The "Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act" was signed into law by President Obama on June 22, 2009. This law gives the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) the legal authority to regulate tobacco products. This includes some restriction of tobacco advertisements, stronger warning labels, and the authority to remove certain ingredients from tobacco products that are deemed hazardous.

I believe that this newly enacted law will go a long way toward protecting the public - and better educating our children - about the consequences of tobacco use, and I was pleased to see it signed into law.

Again, thank you for contacting me about this issue. I appreciate having the benefit of your views and hope you will contact me again in the future if I may be of further assistance.

Sincerely,

Herb Kohl
United States Senator

I'm actually from Texas, but the bf is from Wisconsin, and we are flying up there to watch the Packers in Lambeau next month. Will my PV be an issue there? Or anywhere in the state? I mean, is there a ban, do airports, motels, etc have a problem? I really want to be able to have my PV instead of cigs on this trip!

you'll be fine...nobody really gives a #*%! in wisco...lol unless you spill somebodys beer or what not...HA I've gotten alot of questions from people but never any negative comments
