Well I tried the tcr 150 and 80W at 430 No luck.
Then I tried tcr 160 70W 420 No Luck
Guess I'm going to give up on the Crown .25OHM in TC Mode. Sigh....

thats strange, i have two rx200's running those settings on two black crowns using the .25 ss coils just fine.

My evic mini also uses a similar tcr setting except for the 75w max on the crowns fine.

is this an issue isolated to that particular coil or is it several different coils?

Yes, If you hold down the up/down buttons together you can lock the temp or wattage. In firmware 1.0.8 & 1.0.7 you could hit the fire button three times to switch modes to say Ti/Nii/SS/Wattage...In firmware 3.0.0 if you have the temp/wattage locked you can not change modes....Which is the way it should work imo....

Ah, thank you. "Key Lock".

I think all of my baker's dozen of mods have a lock function, but I swear... I don't think I've ever used one. :p
Completely forgot (ditto for "stealth" modes).

Well I set my temperature coefficient to 92 for M1 and which according to the chart is right for ss 316 and no luck same protection errors as before on my crown ss tank.

No worries though Watts mode is fine with me. I was just hoping that the update fixed the crown.
If your going to vape on SS try setting your tcr from 130-160. I'm vaping SS at 350f with my tcr at 160 its a very good vape.

I don't see a TC-SS316 mode after the 3.0.0 update. I only get Wattage/Ni/Ti/SS/M1/M2/M3

So is the SS mode really SS316 now

Unlike their VTC, Cuboid and Presa screens... they couldn't fit "316" on the RX display.
Deal with it. :p

(I shouldn't have included all three. I haven't looked at the Presa and Cuboid :D )

Tom i just got the rx200 today and dloaded 3.0.... Using a Tcr of 0190 and 75w at 420f I get a nice warm dense vape on the crown dual .25 coil. I bought a brand new coil today and poppep it in prior to testing those settings and it works like a dream. I don't know why you are having such a difficult time with your TC on the crown but having my TCR in the 185-190 range made it vape just like it would at 90w in variable wattage mode just no dry hits.... I was able to clear a whole tank with no issues.

How do you determine that TCR 185-190 = 90W in VW mode?

I just received another RX200 and this one has hardware version 1.04, where my original has 1.01. It is a little different in TC mode. It works on SS with my Triton tank with a .04 SS coil head. The 1.01 will only go to 'temprotection' at the same settings. I previously found a TCR setting of 121 would make the 1.01 work in TC. But the 1.04 version only needs a TCR of 101. Its nice to see not only the firmware upgraded, but the hardware improved too.

Clarification:It appears to me that rx200 default modes for the three popular wires are set using an unknown tank. I have tried ni200 and SS triton heads in the same tank and the default modes don't work. I haven't seen where or why these defaults were made except for marketing. Evolv hasn't been any different, except to keep some people in software hell. The strength of the RX200 is to be able to vary the TCR variable in three saved memory locations for a TC controlled consistently good vape on the same tank with different wires each time. Plug N' Play.

How did you find out the hardware version?

I posted this in a similar thread over in General Vaping Discussions.

Not sure if it helps anyone, but my v1.03 RX200 would not update no matter what I tried and my v1.07 RX200 finally to to 3.0 after some fiddling....

I had problems loading the software and unzipping the updates on my Windows laptop so I used a Mac. Much easier IMO. Note: I tried 3 different cables before the updated would recognize a device. Cheap cables likely won't work.

My black RX200 was at version 1.07 and after plugging it in, unplugging the RX200 then unplugging from the laptop, etc. the update software finally recognized my RX200. Update was loaded and I thought the RX200 bricked. After hitting the fire button a bunch of times as well as the up/down buttons, it came back to life and is working great. I checked and 3.0 is indeed loaded. It seems to be a great update. Very easy to get to where you want to go for folks doing different types of TC.

My green RX200 was a different story. It was ordered on release from Fasttech and was at v1.03. The updater found the device twice out of about 100 tries of plugging in, unplugging, relaunching the SW, etc. Hit "update" and nothing happened. The device just blacks out and the sw says "no hardware found" if I hit update again. Thought it was toast as it took a lot of button pushing to get it to lift up. Not 5 or 20 pushes either. Very strange. I gave up and the green RX200 stays at 1.03, I guess.
