Charging update to share: My RX is taking forever to charge on this front-panel-usb2 port at .4amps. Lol. I really need to get a 1 amp charging source for it.

But the good news is that even a small amount of battery meter gain equals as much vape time as would have been had on a mod with less mah. Other good news is that the balanced charger is working great. Still all within 1/100 of each other.

Other good news is that it CAN charge from a low amp source. I tested charging it from a single 18650 portable charger tube case (very handy, everyone that owns 18650s should get a couple of these) -- it worked.

So, charging from portable power banks that are smaller than the mod, itself, is possible. Great news for the traveler.

The only help I can offer is the device is sensitive to the pattern of the clicks. 123 evenly spaced.
I had the same problem...You need to have a sub ohm build and then mine worked.

The other problem I am having now is that I immediately go into Temperature protection. I've built several different Ti coils ranging between 0.12 and 0.35 ohms, and it immediately goes into temperature protection after one puff. Any help would be appreciated. I did everything, changed the batteries, took atty on and off, locked the resistance, turned it on and off and double checked I updated to 1.07

That would be because Titanium varies in resistance as you heat it up... and is intended for use with TC devices. Highly recommended to use only Kanthal or SS in non TC mode. (I.E. your mod is switching to TC mode with Titanium as a safety feature, please research the effects of heat on titanium and nickle before continuing to attempt to use them outside of temp control)

-edit * I might be assuming too much. I'm beginning to think I completely misunderstood you - lol. Sorreh. I have no idea if the RX200 even auto-detects coils like that. And I apologize if I mislead anyone.

Owning the DNA 200 version of this mod.. I was surprised by how quickly the temp protection would engage. But that also is because the DNA 200 has a highwattage preheat, that gets the coil hot quickly. The mod still vapes like a champ even when the TC is doing its job.

In my case it's still firing even when it says "Temp Protection".. just not at full power.

I just tested putting a Ti build on in wattage mode and there is no auto-detect happening (only fired at 10 watts for a few seconds to be safe).

This is a good thing, auto-detect isn't there yet. And for other reasons; genesis atomizer users who do TC and for those doing exotic twisted wire TC builds.

(A 28 guage, .5 Ti build is smooth as butter on this beasty!)

Yes my reply to Ottefrep I belive was a total misunderstanding on my part. I mis-read the point he was trying to make. Again, I apologize sincerely to everyone reading this thread. I don't even own an RX200 and thought he was referring to some auto-detect feature.

After going back and re-reading - it seems to me he just meant that it was going into temp protection a little quicker than he anticipated. I respectfully admit, I read what he posted and red flags started going off in my brain about everyone's good advice not to run nickle or titanium in wattage mode.

MY APOLOGIES. I love you fellow ECF members, and I hope these RX200 devices serve you all well. I'm tempted to get one even though I have my DNA 200 version.

For the price, why not? Would make a nice beater, or backup.

Got 3 more on the way from fasttech now just the ml class and aromamizer tanks and my hardware stockpiling is done back to nicotine base hoarding :).

I checked out a black Aromamizer on there last week then remembered I hate DTL vaping and cancelled it.

Already have a Crius somewhere in the Aether so I'll give that a whirl then get the Aromamizer if I like it.

I'm a mtl vaper and I make everything suitable for that one way or another just looking for stuff for the long haul now to last me till the current political stupidity is replaced by common sense could be a while lol.

...or you run out of nicotine, whichever comes first. :D

Your RX200 spares are a good call. I feel like this is the right time to do it, technology-wise.

These chips are mature; probably close to a 5th or 6th generation. It works with all wire types. Firmware is updatable.

Clean, simple, monochromatic displays and navigation.

If mods follow the history of other tech, we're about to enter a period of bloated, unnecessary, one-upmanship craziness; color displays, clocks, ugly icons, d-pad menus and gratuitous animations, and eventually ... a Tetris game on a mod.

We'll be looking back at this specific generation of mods fondly, I predict.
