I just thought of something that might already have been bandied about... Does it make a difference whether one updates from say, 1.03 directly to 1.08 instead of installing them in sequence? ie: 1,03, 1.04, 1.05 etc. Just a thought, but maybe there can be issues created by jumping past earlier updates? Anybody think this is something worth wondering about?

Working in the cellular industry this was an issue with some units so I always go in order with updates. I made sure I did mine in order when I updated my reuleaux just in case.

It shouldn't matter. The new firmware overwrites the old firmware so it's not the same as updating computer or phone software.

IDK mine came with 1.07 in it. You know I haven't had a bit of trouble with my RX now that I've found a fix for the minis I don't know what to do wish I had seen that before I sent them back. They also have the RX's

I just might get another R and 1 Cuboid and save the rest till there is something else. The R works so damned good even though it is a beast. The battery life is fantastic. Really not any heavier then my SX'x and have gotten so used to them, now that I have gotten used to the way the joyetech works it vapes just like the sx's I love it. Might get a blue and white one. I'll have another set of batteries for it. That and 1 cuboid would use up my batteries and I'd have my 3 other mods. It is quite a beast to carry around with you but the batteries just last and last.

What about a Mini Volt for your collection @2legsshrt

Thanks for your thoughts all. In my field I have encountered several instances where updates had to be "back-filled" and skipping any earlier versions left out important bits of coding, but I have zero knowledge about Joytech's practices or whoever it is that writes the code for these devices. Just to be on the safe side, when my rx arrives — hopefully in the next day or two — I am going to install all missing updates in sequence.

In a sane world I would not have to worry about this, but I just plain refuse to take my meds. I have found a little obsessive compulsion goes a long ways with vapology.

None here. USB charged since day 1.

Have you checked the battery charge state and if so, could you mention your results here when you have the time? It is purely anecdotal but still very informative. If you have been doing "it" consistently then your results are quite valuable.

And this is my 4th day on this Ti build. Insane all right. It feels odd not having to perform the daily build ritual.

Why would you previously have to perform a daily build ritual?

I like sweet and very strong citrus vapes. Kanthal builds with Rayon wicks got dirty fast, even at low power and I was building coils at an alarming rate. The Ti on TC vapes a lot cleaner with much, much less carbon build-up, so the flavour hangs around way longer. At least according to my admittedly short track record with TC & Ti. As I said it is a very novel experience for me.

I know this has been discussed before, but this thread is so long now that I can't find any useful info. I bought an Rx200 two weeks ago and have since had a few problems with it. I updated the firmware to 1.08, but it simply doesn't perform like my SX mini M class that I am used to. First of all, the power is delayed from the press of the start button. Also, I know the firmware update was supposed to fix the temp control from knocking the power down too much, but it seems that I am still having that problem. With the exact same atty installed, I will have to turn the temp up around 70-100 degrees F than on my SX to get the same hit. Is this normal? I know it's a cheap mod, but it was advertised as being almost as good as the DNA 200. I'm running three of the Efest 3000 mAh batteries which based on their website are authentic.

ETA: I'm running Nickel at the moment, haven't gotten the nerve up to mess with Ti yet.

The mod was slightly underpowered for TC compared to the actual temp from the test results I saw on YouTube, generally around 30F low. He did his testing with firmware 1.07.

Coming from a SX350J which runs a little higher than the set temp, could explain why you need to set the rx200 so much higher to get a similar vape.

I'm not sure why anybody cares what the actual temp you set on the mod is, just set it to whatever value gives you the vape you like, and call it a day is my thought.

Thanks, I figured it was something along those lines. I was just wondering if the TCR that it comes with for nickel was off or something. I've been using it in standard wattage mode and it kicks as hard as I want it to (other than the delay) The battery life, coming from the M class, is absolutely insane! I needed a mod that I could do extended work days on, and this one does not disappoint. I still might shell out for a DNA200 just for the tinker value, but I will definitely get some miles out of this one on those 12 hour work days.
