I know this has been discussed before, but this thread is so long now that I can't find any useful info. I bought an Rx200 two weeks ago and have since had a few problems with it. I updated the firmware to 1.08, but it simply doesn't perform like my SX mini M class that I am used to. First of all, the power is delayed from the press of the start button. Also, I know the firmware update was supposed to fix the temp control from knocking the power down too much, but it seems that I am still having that problem. With the exact same atty installed, I will have to turn the temp up around 70-100 degrees F than on my SX to get the same hit. Is this normal? I know it's a cheap mod, but it was advertised as being almost as good as the dna 200. I'm running three of the Efest 3000 mAh batteries which based on their website are authentic.

ETA: I'm running Nickel at the moment, haven't gotten the nerve up to mess with Ti yet.
Mine is the same way I run the same Ti coil on the SXM at 425 with the RX I run it at 500F but get the same vape. Then QM explained to me that the Joyetech chips run that way. With Ti 500 seems to be a happy spot sometimes even a little higher but get as good a vape as my SXM's.

I like sweet and very strong citrus vapes.

Have you tried a Genesis style atomizer (with SS mesh for the wick)? Bright, citrus flavors really "pop" on them.

They can be made to work well with TC. Very fiddly though. An art and craft requiring attention to detail, to be sure. Might be right up your alley.

Also, I highly recommend Mad Murdock e-liquids on a genny (as well as for their strong citrus and spice notes).

EVERYBODY! SuckMyMod just posted his review of the new Wismec/Vapeforward vaporflasks that uses the same chip as our RX200s as many of you know and in the video he shows a "2.0" update that allows you to manually create TCR profiles like the evic VTC mini!

I just checked Wismec 's site for it and there's no new update listed but surely this means there is one coming soon, no?

I just got my RX200 today and just downloaded the update files from the rx200 website (haven't run it yet) and there are .bin files for the classic, lite, & stout V2.0 in the directory for the update.

Wonder what would happen if you accidentally ran the Classic V2.0 on the RX200.

Can you update to "2.0" in escribe? If it is a chip upgrade you wouldn't necessarily have to wait on Wismec, would you?

Hmm...lol

Never mind. RX200 = no escribe and I can't delete post. Excellent.

I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.

BTW, no I have not tried the Genesis style nor used ss mesh wick, but I have all but the Genie from years ago before better wicks came along. I will be sure to research this further, so cheers bud.

Yes wismec.com RX200 page Downloaded update for RX200 v1.08 & it has bins for the VF products V2.0 that have the TCR settings shown on suck my mod but I havent trid to run that bin on the rx200. I was just wondering what would happen if you did. Thanks QM.

Does this mod have preheat?

Yes, kind of, it's baked into the wattage setting; at any arbitrary temp, a higher wattage will boost the internal "preheat" ramp up. As the wattage is lowered closer to where the mean-wattage of the temp hovers, the preheat will be diminished.

Likewise, if you set the wattage only a couple watts above where the mean-wattage of the temp happens to be hitting, it will effectively disable preheat.

There is no separate "proper" preheat function, however.

I saw on a Busardo review the guy who runs Vapor Flask and they ar coming out with the Stout and the Lite one is a 26650 and the other is an 18650 not sure if it is dual using the RX200 chip
They have the Classic (2 x 18650s, 150w), the Lite (1 x 18650, 75w), and the Stout (1 x 26650, 100w - bad idea for a one-battery mod). They are out already.

They are already out along with a flask. All seem to be using the same chip, just tweaked power wise for each mod.

Edit Ken beat me to the punch lol

The mod was slightly underpowered for TC compared to the actual temp from the test results I saw on YouTube, generally around 30F low. He did his testing with firmware 1.07.

Coming from a SX350J which runs a little higher than the set temp, could explain why you need to set the rx200 so much higher to get a similar vape.

I'm not sure why anybody cares what the actual temp you set on the mod is, just set it to whatever value gives you the vape you like, and call it a day is my thought.
Dont forget the boost feature of sx mini that is being over looked in comparisons

Sent with one hand, the other is busy vaping.
