Day 6 without smoking and I still seem to be having some kind of withdrawal, I feel kinda hungry all the time lol.I just got my figure into shape running and being careful what I eat so I'm trying to be good and not munch too much.

I want to eat everything. Seriously. Like, all day. Cigarettes have always been said to be an appetite suppressant. Must not be the nicotine that makes you eat less, because ... SO HUNGRY!

And as far as addictive chemicals, cigarettes are full of them. It's not just nicotine that we crave. I've found that if you can make it a week vaping, you are pretty much in the clear and your desire for an analog is mostly mental from there on out. You think you want one, but really, you're still not used to vaping. You have to make the mental switch, tell yourself, "This is how I put that devil nicotine in my body now," and go from there. I want to get off nicotine altogether. If I end up vaping 0mg, or even some nicotine from time to time, I have no doubt I'm doing my body a great service.

It really does get better over time, and if you have the mindset that you want to quit smoking, it's even easier.

You may want to read about "Whole Tobacco Alkaloids" or "WTA" on this forum. Tobacco extract can also be helpful. Have a look around on the forum and decide if this might be what you need for now. Good luck!

I have been without an cigarette for almost 9 days and I have been surprisingly good. The only thing I have going is dryness in the mouth and throat.

I have two cigarettes in my car, had them there for 9 days just in case I needed to break the glass in an emergency but today I was thinking that I should throw them out.

Id keep them as a visual tool. If you can look at it, feel it, smell it and not smoke then you can beat smoking every time you see them!!
And i think that feeling of dryness is what you always feel but the smoking masks it. You will feel alot better soon enough

Just a suggestion - but one key thing you MUST do when vaping is to drink lots n lots of water as both PG and VG dehydrates you leading to sore throats, dry mouths and so on, (yes, really really really :)). All the best.

There's a lot to cause symptoms of withdrawal besides nicotine. Behaviorally, there's the action of going outside and otherwise punctuating your activities with a break.
More concretely, there are a ton of additives in cigarettes that encourage addiction besides nicotine. MAOI's (monoamine oxidase inhibitors), used in the treatment of depression, are present in some cigarettes. For the first week of quitting I was completely emotional and bent out of shape.

I hear what you're saying about hunger cravings. But at the same time, you may find (as it has been for me) that since vaping dehydrates you, you'll drink more water. This is not only healthy in general and helpful in flushing your system of toxins, but also suppresses the appetite.

Good luck! It gets easier!
