Hi all,
I have been vaping since the 1st of March.
I have smoked 2 packs of cigarette form yrs - umm probably close to 30 yrs.
Since I bought my e-cig I have cut down to about a 1/2 pack a day.
Out of the blue 2 days ago I just decided I didnt want to smoke cigarettes any more.
This was fine until tonight, I am having withdraws bad.
vaping takes the craving away but I am sooooo grumpy and have been snapping at everyone including the dog lol.
So my question is if I dont smoke a cigarette how long will these withdraws last?
I can tell there is more in a real cigarette that we are addicted to then nic.
I may have to lock myself away in the other room for a few weeks until this grumpiness goes away, so the dog and hubby doesnt throw me out.:(

hang in there, Yabber! it will pass. i promise.

i agree with the other people who said to use 24mg juice. i know that, especially right at first, if i vaped anything lower than that i would vape constantly & still be crabby.

today is my 5 week anniversary of 0 analogs. i still reach for one now & then & i still crave one sometimes, but it does get easier & the cravings pass quicker.

you can do it!!!!!

Vape through the craving and withdrawal. Get some higher nic juice for those extreme cravings and some low nic juice for chain vaping.
I was a raging B word for about three weeks. The last week was probably PMS, but I digress.

Anyway, I bit everyone's head off and could hardly stand my self at times. It gets soooo much better once those withdrawals are gone. You will feel so much more alive without all of that poison. Believe me. Keep at it. If you really really need a cig, smoke one. Then go back to vaping. Don't pressure yourself.

I had some withdrawals off and on for the first couple weeks. Never anything nearly as bad as in previous attempts to quit, but I still had to fight my way through them. Then it just got easier. The recommendation for some stronger nicotine is a good one, just don't overdo it. I still dream about cigarettes from time to time, but it sure feels good to look at one of the dusty old packs I have out in the garage and laugh at them.

Thanks so much everyone.
I still have not had a cigarette and I had to take my daughter to the Dr. today.
Sitting in traffic pounding my hand on the steering wheel for 2 hrs lol.
I am vaping 24mg liquid - this has to be the only reason I didnt kill anyone today lol.
To be honest it really P*sses me off that I am so addicted to those nasty cigarette.
My daughter quit cold turkey about 8 mouths ago and keeps telling me if I cant just get through the first week it will get easier after that.
Gawd I hope so.

God bless her. That must really help a lot.
Practice swearing when she's not around.

Oh, P.S.

Nic in e-juice is killed by sunlight over time. Also, a poorly performing PV can leave you with nic fits too. Or... you just have to tough it out. The cig withdrawal lasted 2 weeks for me, but was minor with good nic and vaping.

Good Luck!

I have to admit, the first couple of mornings after switching from analogs to the PV were kinda rough. I wasn't really craving a cig, It's just something wasn't quite right with my nic levels. I just told myself that I'd switched brands and I'd get through it. Keep in mind that my lips stayed glued to the PV for the first 3 days to adjust. Since then, every so often I have to make a mad dash toward a nic adjustment but its not that bad and getting alot easier every day. I also kept one of the water bottles with the old ashes/butts just in case my mind thinks in wants an analog. One sniff and I'm sure the desire will be gone(haven't had to do it yet).

Good Luck!

Hopefully you can pull thru, my supplier provides nic lvls as high as 36, I've seriously tranq'd myself before just vaping heavy on it. I still have the occasional ciggarette craving but imo you need to completely quit, if your still smoking ana's plus vaping your not really getting any healthier one and your not breaking the connection with smoking those ana's. Some people ^ are right on the money it takes about a full week to fully w/d from smoking and once you can do that I think you'll look to your vape everytime you have that craving :)

It will get better. The ones suggesting a higher nic are right on the money. I found it to be needed when those cravings hit. In fact I switched to 36mg for weeks. Sometimes out of nowhere I would feel like vaping gave me nothing but the hand to mouth. The higher nic really helped with vaping more often even to the point of not putting the thing down! I quit cigs a couple of times for periods of 10 years to 6 months cold turkey. It wasn't fun. Vaping gave me the chance to calm myself during the initial stage and actually enjoy my new habit! I don't know if the mental part of smoking is ever fully met with vaping. I am at 3 months vaping and still want the same step outside and smoke relaxation.
