I have some 1mm silica and 32g kanthal in my kit so maybe I will see how small I can get this setup to work. I don't have a nova but if I get something that looks like it may fit, I will send it your way!

Thank you! I tell you I can't wait to get started! I'm totally stoked!

I think that I will probably need more than two hands for this one so I was thinking of getting a wooden plaque and affixing to it two inward facing alligator clips to hold each end of the wicks/wire to make it easier to work with.

Radio shack sells a mechanical device called helping hands, heavy metal base with alligator clips magnifying glass [movable] solder iron stand holds carto tanks perfectly. I love the one I have it's a godsend for wraping coils around drill bits and resistance wire spinning.

If you want save half the price order from amazon I am sure they're cheaper.

Oh, this is not a production situation, lol.
This is just an old broad brainstorming at her crafting table, lol.
Technically it probably would not be considered a coil per se because it would lose the customary coiled shape, but as long as it works, everythings Jake with me :)
I know that the space for a coil in the VN is super small and I would have to do some playing around to see if it is feasible:)

Whatever you do keep thinking out of the box, it's pioneers that make the material things in this world better.
I still am brainstorming with College geeks about ultrasonic heaters. This whole red-hot coil thing is :perv:

We need a thing that folks can screw their setups into that will pulse the coils and display ohms at the same time, that way people won't have to test their coils on their devices.
Screw in the RBA/RDA and set it to Pulse and it dings or something when it is done.
Call it the Doodad, lol

Very lame that your wicks are giving you burny hits so soon. Peroxide is also good for cleaning both wicks and cartos with a little help in whitening them.

When it's a "factory" head with silica wick dry burning is okay, but not effective. Once you re-wick with cotton, you have to de-wick then dry burn, also not effective. I did go to the liquor store today to ask for the strongest cheap liquor they sold, the guy looked at me like I was crazy! I explained I didn't want to drink it, but use it for a solvent for my ecig. He then sold me some rotgut vodka and asked me if I would be able to quit vaping someday. Anyway, I'll try to soak them in vodka, scrub with small brush, then dryburn, and hope the gunk goes bye-bye.
