Both of my Bachelors are dry as well.

But when I say my wicking technique is borderline crap... the fact is I tend towards too much rather than too little.

I'd love to be able to bang my builds with 5 volts and bask in the glory that is incredible YouTube worthy cloudage... alas, 'tis not to be. :p

It's a fine line between perfect and leaky, and I'm always a tad on the other, dryer side. o_O
(which is also a part of why I love TC's ability to save me from dry hits)

Yes it is a fine line. Too much wick and it won't wick quickly and you can't run it at high wattages. Too little and it will leak like crazy.

But I don't think that this tank is meant for high wattages. Its more of a low wattage flavor tank. It is more forgiving on the wicking as well. In the other RTAs I own if I use too much wick, I'd be getting nothing but dry hits.

Agreed and agreed.
I don't have many tanks (most I have an RBA head for) and only four or five RTAs ut by far the most forgiving, and easiest, is the Aromamizer. I just lay the tails over the juice holes (in the deck, that's what's different) and go... exactly like I would do an RDA.

I just got back from town/shopping and I'm sure OhTheAgony won't like this, but...

I took the Lil' Serpent and the Bachelor Nano (and the AIO), and it turned out to be a very warm, muggy coastal day.

Came out of Wally World and the car was pretty damn toasty.
There's no real way to leave them standing so they lie on the passenger seat on their sides.
I had closed the AFC on the SM and the JFC on the BN... no leaks, no flooding or even gurgling after firing them back up. Kinda stunned actually, I left them on a paper towel just in case.

The silicone sleeve on the VTC though... felt like it had melted.

I wiped it down fast thinking the B Nano had puked whatever was left in the chamber, but it was free of juice, just... melty. o_O

Now I get to rewick them both (and a few others) and .... it all up. :D

Ive thinking of pulling the trigger on this one. Dont have many RTAs, but build on RDAs, Nautilus/Kabuki aftermarket RBA, ST mini RBA.
Im more into flavor and MTL hitting with single coil setups around 1 ohm give or take. Vape only NET juices so have to rewick frequently.

Would the Serpent mini fit the bill?

The MTL biz is outside my wheelhouse, I'll let others address that.

At your res, and its' implied wattage you'll be fine with the capacity. Or at least better than I am at 0.4. It's spec is 2ml but I blow through it in a blink, even at only ~30w.

I'm a snarky tool, it's how I roll, so when I say mounting the coil is a bit fiddly ... take it with a grain of salt. I haven't even replaced my first coil and I can't imagine the procedure would get worse with experience.

It's a rockin' little RTA, though you won't be swappin' builds with a Boreas etc. If what you want can be fit on a Kanger's RBA deck... I suspect it'll shine even more with this lil' tank.

Ugh, hate waiting for vapemail, especially since I'm stationed overseas. Not so patiently waiting for 2 Serpent Minis, a Cuboid, and an Istick Pico.

Usually takes about 2 weeks to get here...

BOOM!

Wow... a lot of us look at NC askance, but we don't consider it a foreign country... yet.

j/k... :p

Should be a fun bit of kit, when it arrives.
If you're serving, thank you of course.
Either way... which country, how's the general state of package delivery? Restrictions?
(I can't make assumptions... you could be anywhere)

So I kept trying single .5 26g coils on this. Just was not kicking flavor for me no matter what wattage and wick setup. So I made up a twisted kanthal coil come out to about .35 running that 28.5w with the wick just at the first lip in the well. Amazing chucking clouds and flavor like a pro. I went from feel "EH" about the tank it was something I'd pull out if I had no super tank coils a backup. To now it's something I probably will use daily if not all day lol.

Got lucky and the Army sent me to a tiny little post in the middle of nowhere, Bavaria. It's a nice place to live.

Through the Army postal system, I cannot get ration items delivered (alcohol, coffee, tobacco), along with some other customs restricted items (fresh food, some medications, etc). The postal restrictions aren't bad, but a there are some vendors won't send certain items to APO addresses, seemingly at random - for example, most Amazon vendors won't ship disposable pipettes, which is odd.

Most packages arrive in decent shape, others look to have been beat around a good deal, boxes busted up a bit and covered in packing tape.

BOOM!

We have postings around the globe with some being in either seemingly bizarre or inexplicable locations... but I would not have put Bavaria on the list without some thought.

It feels so... cold war. :p

Sorry about the gorillas in delivery.
Odd about APOs as well. I've spotted that restriction on occasion regardless of product genre... no idea the whys or wherefores.

The serpent mini was the first rta I've had after rebuilding stock coils for over 6 months. I was nervous about it at first but so far it's been great, a lot easier to build on and the flavor is great.

No real problems, but for some reason the two juices I have with hibiscus in them taste like finger nail polish in the serpent mini. Even after changing the wick and coils, and the juices after on the same coil taste fine. I'll guess I have to just use the other tank for those, lol.

Got the Serpent Mini in today, along with some 24ga and 26ga ss316l. Promptly threw in a 24ga ss coil @ 0.38 ohms, wicked it up, and tried some unflavored.

Unflavored was underwhelming, but not bad. I usually vape unflavored in a Billow V3 or Griffin with twice the coils, twice the airflow, and twice the wattage, though. The Serpent Mini doesn't have the airflow of some super-subohm dual coil tanks, but that's not really what it's designed for.

Threw in some DIY berry cereal, and this little atty can really put out some flavor. It doesn't put out plumes of vapor, but for a 36 watt vape, I'm liking it. So far, zero leaks and is wicking just fine.

Capacity is in the small side, but that's not a con IMO - it's a mini RTA. Top fill is really simple, don't even have to fiddle with juice control. So, I don't really mind that it's empty rather often - more opportunity to switch flavors.

I think I'll pair it with the IPV D3 for a more stealthy setup, and probably put it on the Istick Pico when it arrives. There are times when lugging around a dual or triple batt mod with a 5ml tank just isn't very convenient. It's a lot easier to pocket a single battery mod and a small bottle of juice.

BOOM!

Here, probaby for TPD european regulation is not available easily, my usual seller that is the most important in Italy, doesn't have yet....

There's some other reason... supply chain maybe? I'd have to look up WoToFo to see if they're smaller or just moving from coils to attys and still ramping up production. I don't know about the full size but I think the Lil' Serpent is becoming a big seller.

These tiny tanks (this, Bachelor Nano, Smok's TFV4 Micro etc.) are IMO literally designed to be in compliance with the TPD. With a minor increase in dimensions, or a change in internal design, they could be made to hold 3ml, 3.5ml... but they're all 2ml. That's not a coincidence.

And we're going to be seeing a lot more of them.
And many will be coming from smaller production lines, trying to supply a large and growing Euro market. Again... in my opinion.

The Augvape Merlin would be a better choice for MTL setup due to the center airflow reducer piece. I have it off and the airflow fully open and its tighter than the Serpent original / serpent mini fully open.
