I'm with James1215. I want vaping to be as far from analogs as possible. Vaping is what got me off analogs. I don't want anything to do with them anymore. Also, I don't want big brother getting involved in the vaping industry. They've gotten their fingers into too many of my pies! Just my opinion.

Good for you Kenny. Big Brother, unfortunately will get involved one way or the other and glad you are happy with nicquid without the minor alkaloids. Some of us aren't.

Nope! Gelatin is still made from collagen derived from the processed bones, skin, connective tissues and hooves of both cows and pigs. Enjoy!

I am pretty sure most of Gelatin comes from cows or a vegetarian sources because it is cheaper. It is like saying cheese has a certain percent of pigs milk. Pigs milk is way way way more expensive. So is higher grade gelatin. So it probably doesn't not saying in the rare case it occurs. Back to WTA. I think it if the future of ejuice and the big tobbaco companies are going to hate vapers anyways so I think limiting ourself based on their feeling is the wrong response IMHO.

I hate to argue with you about something so petty and off-topic, but according to your own source (and my previous knowledge on the subject),

"There are no plant sources of collagen.
As gelatin is derived from collagen, it follows that there are no plant source of gelatin either.
Thus, there is no chemical relationship between gelatin and other materials often referred to as 'vegetable gelatins', such as seaweed extracts or gums like carrageen or guar. "

I use all three frequently in gluten-free baking and cooking processes- carageenan, guar gum, and gelatin, as well as xanthan gum. They are different enough in texture to need all of them on hand- carageenan, for example, makes a very poor substitute for gelatin. It's used in fruit flavored vegan "gels" that will cost you 2 bucks for a half cup of fake jello-y like slimy stuff. (They are expensive and disgusting in pretty much direct correlation.) But it's not bad as a thickener for things like Soy, Rice or Almond Milk. Guar gum is used a lot in commercial baking processes in small quantities, but has a well-known and powerful laxative effect if eaten in excess, so it's not feasible to use in large enough ratios to cause a gelling effect.

I can also assure you that good old fashioned gelatin is the cheapest and easiest to acquire of the bunch, but it's more expensive (and harder to find) when you have to buy it kosher (no pig), even though gelatin from beef is lower grade. So yep, processed pig bits, baby, which is why it generally isn't kosher unless it specifically says so on the label.

I've cooked for a lot of people with different specialized dietary needs (myself included), including orthodox jews, vegans and vegetarians; it requires a lot of research. Fortunately, I enjoy research.

I think Big Tobacco is exactly the enemy we need to worry about once they figure out how to break into the e-liquids market with their own super-addictive chemical concoctions that will make WTAs seem as harmless as kittens sprinkled with confectioners' sugar by comparison.

But if it really is the future, more than two companies have got to start carrying it. As long as it's kept such a rarity, and only available if you limit yourself to those two vendors' juice flavors, it really can't be the future- nobody is going to settle for such limited choices. I can't quite figure out why there's no unflavored WTA liquid available- I know I would have bought some by now if there were.

For now there is only 2 hope that will change soon. You can buy unflavored WTA from Aroma need the link?

It really is too bad that Vapelicious has been down for so long, too- all this recent controversy could've really driven some sales for both of these sites.

I have a suspicion that the two WTA suppliers in all of vapedom feel that selling just the WTAs and allowing users to seek their own flavor identities is less profitable than selling their own flavor formulations.

Yeah, and I see their point, but well... I'll just be blunt- I'm not interested in any of those flavors. I just flat out like weirder stuff than they have to offer, and I don't vape the same things every day. If I'm going to find that I need this stuff in my life, I'm naturally going to need it every day, right? So I need to be able to add it to whatever oddity I'm vaping that day, or that hour of that day.

Granted, I have no clue what Vapelicious even has to offer, but I seriously doubt if mushroom soup is on their menu, either.

Lol!!

There are still a few things that I'm squeamish about- cheesy and fishy flavors. Cheese... maybe someday I'll try it again, but fishy things... someone else is going to have to go there first and write one helluva good review, and I mean frame-able quality, and tuna is just my ultimate NopeNeverUh-Uh, because I can't even smell that stuff without feeling sick.

Anything else... dare me, and post the link. :p

Perhaps selling WTA at all (straight unflavored additive & ready-made flavored) is less profitable than standard non-WTA. Could be a good business decision to keep sales reigned in a bit while seeking ways of reducing production cost.

Well, this won't be a popular idea with consumers, but charge what it costs plus what you need to keep perfecting your system with a fair profit. If you're the only vendor willing to invest in it in it's infancy, you deserve to be paid what that's worth, imo, because you're the one taking the initial risks- it makes sense to let your customers support that if they're willing to.
