From what I gather, the brass button version was/is standard and for a bit extra ($10), you can upgrade to the SS buttons - at least the last time I checked the Mini-ecig site. And the Mini-ecig site now shows you can get a blue and red one with SS buttons for $10 more than the black with brass buttons.

I just ordered one from VapinArt after checking the mini-ecig site, and I can confirm - the brass is standard, and the site shows optional SS and colored buttons for another $10. Unfortunately they also show a 2 week wait for shipment. VapinArt has just the standard brass one, but they ship tomorrow. I need it noooowww. Also, this thread was instrumental in providing info for the buy. So thanks all.

It is tough to beat the look of the Kabuki inside an Xvo. BEAUTIFUL, NSM!!!

I got a reply from them today. Shown below. I don't want to mail this thing to israel for this issue but I do want to get more from the batteries. I guess I'll ask evolv if I can test their theory with a multimeter. Has anyone opened their xvostick up yet and are all the solder connections pretty accessible?

The cut off is 3 volts on the DNA 40, if I remember correctly. This is measured under load, so the static voltage I'd expect to be higher but not that high. What type of mod are you using? We've seen issues in certain mods where the battery connection is not great out of the box or gets worse with time.

I followed up asking if they had any directions for testing this theory with a multimeter- repsonse was basically to check the spring and clean the contacts. It has no spring of course- but I did clean and dry the battery cap and inner positive battery contact with isopropyl alcohol which didn't seem to make much difference.

Also heard back from mini- the inner 510 ring's allen key size is 1.5mm, and in case anyone goes searching later, I confirmed that the allen key size in the base to access the board is 2mm.

LOL! Just to be clear, it was Evolv, not Mini who told me to clean the spring- so it's a lot more reasonable for them not to know this thing has no spring.

im having a hard time turning the plate the atty sits on.. i removed the grub/allen screw completely. then i stuck a small philips in there and it only turns 45 degrees and thats with brute force .. i cant get it to turn more. any suggestions ??

So true - this post was brilliant @WiSK - I think mini should ask you to post it on their FAQ page for anyone having problems getting a connection on the xvo. It really clearly outlines what to do as a staring point and you're right - the pictures really do help.

Mine turned really easily until a point when it stopped (I assumed this was the point where the plate was fully screwed down). If I turned it the other way it eventually came out completely.

@NotSoMini - that looks lovely. I absolutely love seeing all the dressing up but for my own use I like the simple look
