Tomorrow, following up on some things @Jim- posted, I'll be revealing some recent learnings/experiences related to the USB charging ports. Things I SHOULD have noticed, but had not.

That's one heckuva deal! I don't believe they cloned the LE (but am not 100% certain). I always kind of liked it (not enough to pay the premium they were asking). But at $100?????

If you prefer the SS to the brass, it's tough to pass on... (I'm SUCH a bad influence).

And as promised the other night, I discovered that @Jim- is absolutely correct. The USB ports are garbage. I had never really noticed it because I usually change batteries, and only rarely plug mine in.

But with BOTH of my current ones, the light will eventually turn green. But if I actually LOOK at the gauge, it's only showing half-charged. If I then swap batteries, it shows full.

Only slightly disappointing for me, but it might be a deal-breaker for someone else. So, I thought everyone should know...

If that thing was up on ECF, at that price, with a decent seller rating, it wouldn't last a day. Maybe not even an hour.

Damm that's tempting! I don't think it'll last all that long, even without reviews or ratings.

Just a note on the USB report -- I charged mine Friday AND Saturday, to add more data for the Data Guy's testing. Yes, I started it on Friday, then needed to unplug it, so I continued on Saturday. It charged for HOURS and HOURS and HOURS! It never fully charged. The light stayed red the entire time, and when I finally took it off the charger, the batt display showed about 1/2 full.

Or 1/2 empty, as I'm not feeling optimistic about it.

@Noodles11 - I've exchanged emails with the guy. I'm getting a very positive read from him, and I'm fairly confident that he's on the level.

Are you considering buying it?
